rokhed00 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Standard "homer getting bashed a lot" joke. A film based on that bunny would be a million times funnier and more entertaining. Go watch your barnyard/over the fence type shit then. Even at its worse the Simpsons is better than all the generic CGI animal crap.
Shorty Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 You guys did see the bit where the wrecking ball defied gravity for one more whack right? How could you not laugh at that? The internet has desensitized you all!
Charlie Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 You guys did see the bit where the wrecking ball defied gravity for one more whack right? How could you not laugh at that? The internet has desensitized you all! I loved the trailer and especially that bit, I thought it was over, then it came back and gave Home another smack.
ViPeR Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Shit, new simpsons material that actually made me roffle. Good on them for bringing back the old writers.
dannbrownn Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 It was interesting to see the use of the 'sort of 3d' futurama type animation, it's looking good!
mcj metroid Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006  THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD I CRIED! oddly i prefer 2D cartoons to the 3D animated ones-Anime for life! lol i miss old Disney :'( that is exagerration cmon it wasnt THAT good.it was funnyish
Platty Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Well i loved the trailer!! Can't wait to see this
The Bard Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Haha, that was so stupid I almost died laughing.
Platty Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Here is the youtube version for people who were saying they couldnt get it to work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wufswgd5eAY
dabookerman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 This Simpsons thread requires more generic "but simpsons was better in the past/Simpsons isnt as funny as before" posts. Peoples sense of humour has split like the River Delta. Its impossible to please everyone these days.
Cube Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Go watch your barnyard/over the fence type shit then.Even at its worse the Simpsons is better than all the generic CGI animal crap. I don't even like the movies. That's how low I rate the trailer.
AshMat Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Haha, great trailer. i laughed. I am actually very excited about this now, 100% more than i was at first.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Made me smile. Certainly looks like a step in the right direction for the Simpsons. As I haven't smiled once at it in the last 4 years or so.
Yoshiking Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I'm not a fan of Simpsons. I'm not ashamed to say it, I don't really care for the "intelligent" humour everyone speaks of (from the beginning of the series, at least). It's not bad. But I prefer random stuff like Family Guy. And this looks more like that. Pretty funny, this is what trailers should be like.. Unlike the Spidey 3 trailer, which just left me confused as to what the hell was going on due to the amount of stuff they tried to cram in there in as little time as possible.
Sarka Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Was I the only one who didn't enjoy the trailer at all? I didn't laugh at anything in it, I was looking forward to some hilarious joke which I hoped was coming due to the immense loling that people on here seemed to enjoy. It didn't though, he just got bashed again. Oh well, maybe it's just my lack of being able to enjoy comedy on the TV. I seem to never laugh at programs.
Mike Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Wow, Homer gets hurt doing something stupid. We haven't seen that before. I just can't understand why so many of you found this so hilariously funny. It pretty much only consisted of one 'joke' anyway. This hasn't made me any more excited about the new film at all. Sure it'll be a box office smash, though. Oh, and they stole the whole 'aren't CGI movies great - but here's a 2D movie!' gag from the South Park film trailer.
Yoshiking Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Yeah, they did steal that. The best part was the gravity defying final blow at the end though. Classic.
Eddage Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I thought it was alright, nothing great though!
Ashley Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 It pretty much only consisted of one 'joke' anyway. The "stop" sign in the background as the bulldozzer stops just short. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Its the subtler things that work with it. Besides, its a thirty second promo (ignoring the bunny bit). I'd imagine it doens't make the final cut anyway.
Dante Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I stop watching the simpson at series 9. What series is The Simpson at now btw?
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I stop watching the simpson at series 9.What series is The Simpson at now btw? 18. No joke.
Dante Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Oh wait I just check the series list and found that I stop watching it at start of series 14 and not at series 9.
Stickman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Hmm..it made me laugh, but it just wasn't simpsons, origianlly it had slapstick, yeah, but it did have some itelligent jokes, but nope just homer getting pulverised Funny, but not simpsons
