Hero-of-Time Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Yet another Super-Hero flick in the making ( its been in dev hell for years ) Thoughts?
martinist Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Iron Man....never head of this guy, although i don't read alot of comics
Tellyn Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I take it they haven't found an actor yet, the poster is CGI.
Hero-of-Time Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Many have been rumoured over the years to play the part of Tony Stark, among them was Tom Cruise and Nic Cage.
Letty Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I take it they haven't found an actor yet, the poster is CGI. It looks more likea drawing to me
rokhed00 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 If that's the Iron Man in the movie they're either going to fuck up the story majorly (not unusual for a comic movie) or set it well after he became Iron Man.
Blackfox Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Anyone remember the animated version of this flick? I quite enjoyed it.
Platty Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 It looks more likea drawing to me Yeah i was thinking that.
Fierce_LiNk Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I thought this was about the book by ted hughes when i saw the thread title. Fantastic children's book, by the way. Well worth a read.
rokhed00 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I thought this was about the book by ted hughes when i saw the thread title. Fantastic children's book, by the way. Well worth a read. Not a million miles away from what Iron Man looked like originally.

EEVILMURRAY Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Mnay have been rumoured over the years to play the part of Tony Stark, among them was Tom Cruise and Nic Cage. Well it can't be Cage now since he's Ghost Rider.
Dante Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Not a million miles away from what Iron Man looked like originally. True Rokhed00 :p
Jamba Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Hmmm... could be fun. Would like to see them bring Bruce Bannister into it just as a cameo or on the phone to Stark or something. If I would pick someone on looks then I would say a younger Timothy Dalton, but he was the bad guy in the Rocketeer so that kinda doesn't work. It's hard to think of someone who would fit the bill as most of the eligible candidates have already been taken. Probably an unknown I would think.
Dan_Dare Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 has anyone noticed how every time one of these movies is bought up, cage and cruise *always* end up rumoured to play? same happened with Superman. you know, when people somehow thought Superman would look awesome at about 5'3 or whatever cruise is.
rokhed00 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Would like to see them bring Bruce Bannister into it j Some obscure footballer for one move he did once? Don't think he deserves it really.
Konfucius Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Cool to finally see some material. I'm actually quite an Iron-Man fan, although I only saw the animated series. Will definitely look out for it. I heard Tom Cruise said he wanted to be in Iron-Man, but it seems there's nothing official so far. I think Christian Bale would be a good choice, but then again Christian Bale would always be a good choice Batman Begins
The Bard Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Christian Bale was so very awesome in Equilibrium that I actually had to change my pants after that scene with the dog in the trunk (not what you're thinking, I assure you).
Jamba Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Some obscure footballer for one move he did once? Don't think he deserves it really. Bruce Bannister = The Hulk Bruce and Starkers have a long history of helping each other out in the comics. Stark always kinda keeps an eye out for green features and helps to keep things to "minimal damage".
Eddage Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Bruce Bannister = The Hulk I believe that would be Bruce Banner
Jamba Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I believe that would be Bruce Banner :insert Viewtiful Joe style gaffaw!: My bad.... the man speaks words of shiny shiny truth!
rokhed00 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 :insert Viewtiful Joe style gaffaw!: My bad.... the man speaks words of shiny shiny truth! You can apologize to me later.
