Fields Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Which newspapers does everyone read, if any? I just thought I would ask this as I settle down with a cup of coffee and the Daily Telegraph, my publication of choice.
mario114 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I read the independent, though not everyday, normally if it has a good leading story or an article I'm intrested in.
EEVILMURRAY Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 My stepdad gets the Sun, I like to read the comics and the Dear Deidre. Most humourous stories.
Blackfox Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Observer for me, or the Guardian. The Sun and Metro get mentions for a simple-read.
Fierce_LiNk Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 My stepdad gets the Sun, I like to read the comics and the Dear Deidre. Most humourous stories. Haha, Dear Deidre owns. "Dear Deidre, I had sex with my boyfriend's mum, and now i am pregnant with his kid. The trouble is, i'm also seeing his father too!" Sooooo excellent. Don't really read any papers to be honest. Unless i'm at home and my mum gets the news of the world, which i love to take the piss at.
AshMat Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Examminer for local news, metro if i'm ever on a bus. Other (daily mail) etc love to over-exxagerate their news.
Fields Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 Apparently, the average person is likely to change their marriage more often than their newspaper. Just a little random fact for you. <--- Awesome smiley btw
The fish Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Private Eye (best there is, 100% unbiased-it just hates everybody) and occasionaly The Times.
faz99 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I read the Sun and the Star and the News of the World and the People. I am very well informed and i believe everything i read.
Indigo Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I read The Times. It's delivered to my door everyday.
Nintendork Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 The Guardian, and The Sun. Yes you heard right.. more often than not I am in the mood for The Guardian.. Online? NY Times, Guardian Unlimited, BBC News, Wired and Google News hub.
Charlie Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 The Glasgow Herald sports pages. I like reading the Independant too, when I get a chance. Very well written.
KKOB Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 the times for some reason! the sunday times was a life saver when i was in hospital a few weeks back! was sooo bored! lol
gaggle64 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 since their revamp, The Guardian mostly, or sometimes The Independant when I'm loking fir something more opinionated.
ShadowV7 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I don't really read newspapers but I have to it's the Guardian for my english subject at school.Teacher goes on about it every so often.
EEVILMURRAY Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Haha, Dear Deidre owns. Clarkson's great on Saturdays too.
Cube Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I dont see any point of newspapers...i get all the news i need for free on my homepage.
MunKy Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Theyre less newspapers and more journals of opinion. Everything is biased one way or another, you cant get news with a slant on it. Then theres the celebrity bullshit they waste so much paper on.
gaggle64 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Oooh, and The Spectator. Page after page of informed opinion and debate - it's you're job to decide if you agree or disagree. You can't go wrong.
Platty Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I dont really read any papers but buy The Sun on a monday and a thursday simply because on those days they update their fantasy football scores for the week and the fantasy football thats run at work is based on the sun rules. Im 6th outta of 84 people... if i stay there i win £20 Apart from that it's all about keeley on page 3. I pick up the Metro sometimes on my way to work but dont always read it, i like the Nemi comic As for learning about the happenings in the world i usually watch the news or check out the net.
