Atomic Boo Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Hi everyone! Has anyone been to see any artists/bands in the past few months, or are you seeing any later this year? I know some people going to see the kaiser chiefs, but im going to see iron maiden (with guests trivium) at NEC stadium - birmingham on the 23 December! what a tasty early christmas present! Is anyone else going to that concert as well or am i the only lucky one here? Just to let you know, its really easy to get concert tickets at http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk and its always nice to have something to look forward to later in the year. Obviously there is (most of the time) more than one showing so you have a fairly good chance of seeing some of your favourite bands. Anyway, which bands do you want to see/ which bands are you seeing/ which bands have you seen?
KKOB Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 i'll prob go see alot of small unsigned bands in the usual pubs around birmingham so i dont have a clue yet!!! lol i remember a very small band called tinted windows that were/are very good-kinda like lemon jelly inspired indie rock! so wish i could see placebo though i was too slow on trying to get the tickets

Also going to see The Who in hyde park in july, who are supported by Razorlight, Primal Scream & Ocean Colour Scene, so that should be a good gig!
EEVILMURRAY Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 None, can't be bothered wasting my money on such things.
Monopolyman Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 None, because I'm too poor. Except possibly some local bands. Some of them are pretty good.
kyletherobot Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 i saw maximo park, we are scientists, arctic monkeys and mystery jets in february. i also saw a metal band called some girls the other week in manchester. i have the zutons to look forward to next month in either sheffield or leeds, and im also going to the NME new bands tour at sheffield with the automatic and boy kill boy plus some other bands i havent heard of. also, i have tickets for the leeds festival and to see orson whenever they decide to reschedule a gig from earlier this year.

MunKy Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Many bands at Download and depending on when the UK dates are KoRn again. I'll see em a DL anyway but I wanna go see a proper gig again.
Blackfox Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Ticketmaster are ****s. They charge extortionate rates on top of the ticketprice. Anyways.. bands this year... Bouncing Souls on Monday. Maybe Raised Fist on May 1st. After that - who knows!
Atomic Boo Posted April 22, 2006 Author Posted April 22, 2006 well, who should i use in future then black fox? i think ticket master are pretty decent, they only charged me for the tickets, nothing else
weeyellowbloke Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 i'll prob go see alot of small unsigned bands in the usual pubs around birmingham so i dont have a clue yet!!! lol I'm guessing one of them might be the Jug of Ale. It's a pretty good venue for small bands, I remember I saw Maximo Park there about a year ago. Anyway I am most excited about seeing Radiohead in May, should be amazing.

There are some others i use but usually those are the best for picking up tickets unless the ebay arseholes get there first i.e Leeds and Reading grrrr.
Fierce_LiNk Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 I've already been to see Feeder this year, and they were amazing. The GLC were the support band and they were great too. Welsh bands ftw!
