Jamba Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Hey I just had a look at Stormrise, think it's out later this month. RTS game but all done from the ground. I'll be interested to see if this works out... http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43230.html
Daniel Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 At xmas i sold my 360 20gb to my mum for £50 to give to my little brother and she bought me a new 60gb version for xmas. Now she rings asking what these three blinking red lights are :P Just organised it to be picked up etc and the guy says i can have free live didnt mention if it was 3 months or a year but its not bad to say its my little brother who gets no xbox and i get the live
Shorty Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Usually when a broken xbox is collected, it's 30 days of live - and it's a code on a card so you could give it to your brother
Daniel Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hes six though, why would a six year old want LIVE?
Shorty Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hes six though, why would a six year old want LIVE? Have you ever played Halo 3? I'm pretty sure that's the average age of LIVE users.
Daniel Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 lol, i cant imagine him playing halo 3 and running around screaming headshot :P
Jimbob Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 lol, i cant imagine him playing halo 3 and running around screaming headshot :P Try 3 8-10 year olds shouting n00b down the head-set at you because they got lucky and killed your character.
nightwolf Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 ..and people wonder why I dislike Halo. Are you always garanteed 30 days of LIVE if your xbox breaks or is it them just being nicey nice?
Guest Jordan Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Its usually if they're being nice. I only ever play online these days either 1, without voice or 2, with friends. Most people on Live are 13 year old cock boys... ¬_¬ In other news. PEGGLE, PEGGLE, ZOMG!
Cube Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Some New DLC Today: - The Maw: Deleted Scene - River Redirect. 100MS Points - Sonic Unleashed: Chun-nan Adventure Pack. 250MS Points - Burnout Paradise: Boost Specials (Extreme Hot Rod and Hawker Mech). 640MS Points (400MS Points individually). The Boost Specials are way overpriced. I'm glad I got them when they leaked alongside the other cars (it was 400MS Points for the pack then).
jayseven Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I'm sure it's been said, but how are game deliveries done - royal mail or Parcel Force? Xbox has been 'dispached' since yesterday, if it's royal mail then I'm waiting 'til tomorrow.

You also can't use any downloaded stuff while offline http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/default.htm That transfers all licenses to the new system. You can only do it once a year and you need to download everything again (if it's already on your HDD then it'll only take a second).
Shorty Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I'm sure it's been said, but how are game deliveries done - royal mail or Parcel Force? Xbox has been 'dispached' since yesterday, if it's royal mail then I'm waiting 'til tomorrow. If you login to game.co.uk order history it should tell you how it was sent. If it was Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcel Force Special Delivery you will be able to track delivery progress. However I think if you pick free shipping it will not be special delivery, it will be regular post.
Jimbob Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I had the same thing. I used a data transfer kit which transfers everything over to a new HDD, which i did when i got my Elite when the Premium 360 blew-up. Everything works minus Sonic 1 and Streets of Rage 2 where i have to unlock the full game everytime i play.
not_so_tiny Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I'm sure it's been said, but how are game deliveries done - royal mail or Parcel Force? Xbox has been 'dispached' since yesterday, if it's royal mail then I'm waiting 'til tomorrow. You're waiting for your Red 360 right? If you paid for special delivery then it will be sent through Parcel Force, but if not it's Royal Mail (I did this option) and we'll be getting them tomorrow.
Shorty Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I'm looking forward to tomorrow too this is the first time jayseven has pre-ordered an awesome, new co-op game that I am looking forward to, instead of the other way round.
Ganepark32 Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Just finished Too Human. Apart from the glaringly obvious problems with the camera, graphics, and controls, it wasn't that bad actually. Certainly didn't receive all of the hate it got, at least to a certain extent. Ended on quite an abrupt note though which was strange. They could have made it longer than it was and really for 10 years of development there isn't a huge amount to see. If they are going to go on and continue it as a trilogy as initially planned I suggest that they first and foremost focus on sorting out the absymal camera they implemented. Why they had to mix the behind-character/3rd person camera with those fixed camera shots is beyond me and controlling it was a right pain in the backside as it screwed up the controls everytime is calibrated when you used the RB button to change it. But like I said, it wasn't a bad title. Thinking of perhaps playing it through again, perhaps for some achievements but really some of the achievements they've included in the game are a bit ridiculous. 100 deaths isn't an achievement. That's just stupid. Being able to go through each of the places without dying is an achievement in itself but if you can manage to do it without dying, then you really are a god because I found it nigh on impossible. Anyways, roll on RE 5 tomorrow.
BeerMonkey Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 anyone got "peggle" any good? demo was pretty cool
Dan_Dare Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Fuck you, postman! 72 hours to wait? My arse. you miss your delivery?
spirited away Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 anyone got "peggle" any good? demo was pretty cool I got it on a whim after reading such elevated reviews of it. It's a seriously fun game, addictive as hell and well worth the 800 points.
Mr. Anonymous Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I know there is a Pinned topic, for 360, but I think its better here, but if a mod thinks it's better in there by all means move it in. From what I heard from a friend who works in Smyths is the Black 360 is been discontinued and is been replaced by a the limited editions ones such as the red one for RE5. More detail in Link http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3093 Mr.A
Daft Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Yeah, they had something about this on Kotaku a couple weeks ago. Guess it makes sense.
