I might be wrong, but as I understand it, once your friend beats the E4 that unlocks the third Pokemon, while being online at the same time with them unlocks Pokemon with their Hidden Ability and a greater chance of getting a shiny.

Do we know if the Pokedex keeps the tracking system from B&W2 where we can see what 'mons from certain areas we've caught/seen and what's left to catch? That was incredibly useful.

I really like how they seem to be going down the warrior/mage/rogue route for the starters.

Have to recommend Lego City as well. I'm having a blast with this game, the humor is wonderfully silly and the game while easy, is fun and there is a lot to do in it.

Absolutely, it feels like such a backwards system. They are taking the convenience out of gaming and that's what stings the most. This gen has boiled down to: "You can do this, but..."

I am pretty sure Sony have said that they understand the state of internet stability in other countries and that you will be able use the PS4 with no internet connection at all, but PR speak and all that so who knows. I wait with baited breath for Sony to make their stance clear. I have read in a few places, people saying that this doesn't effect them personally so why are we all complaining. This whole 24 hour check etc doesn't effect me for the most part, but I am not happy with a console that restricts gameplay and usability, therefore will not support it.

I just realised this basically kills off any Lovefilm support, which I use a lot to play games...sigh.

Regarding the games being linked to your account, have they clearly explained whether if I have an account and someone else has an account on the same console, they both can play the same game without have to pay any extra fees? Because if it's per account and not per console I'm out, Sony can have my custom (unless they announce the same thing dear god...).

So apparently they were teasing Sylveon's type on Pokemon Smash. One of the girls who was in a Sylveon costume was made to use nunchucks, but failed so not a Fighting type. She then had to break a block of ice, success! Strong against Ice. Thinking she could be Steel they poisoned her...and she became poisoned so not Steel. Pokemon Smash is weird. Anyway, that leaves Fire, Rock or a new type (Fairy?).

These are some really solid designs, really happy with them, the panda especially. Glad we have confirmation on character customisation even if it seems limited at the moment, maybe we get rewarded with more options eg. hat designs as you go through the game.

Very excited. Love how they're putting the 3D capabilities to good use. Man, these Nintendo Directs have been amazing.

Looks pretty cool. Except for the feet I have no problem with the design. The trailer was nice, but short, got to see a few more of the older 'mons in their 3D new style. I really hope we get some actual gameplay news soon though. EDIT: Trailer. The name of the video seems to suggest this isn't Mewtwo, which is interesting. Mewthree?

Just spent a couple of hours with the game this morning. It is so charming! I love the little details like Luigi occasionally humming along with the music and spying on the ghosts through windows/peep holes.

My one hope is that if they do make another one, they bring back the mini games from the Stadium games. I dread to think how many hours I sunk into them when I was a kid.

Bit the bullet and ordered this from Shopto today, it's already on its way! Looking toward to hunting some monsters with you fine folk. I never really got into it on the Wii so I plan to give this version the time it deserves.

Last issue said we'd get more info on Sylveon. I'd imagine we'll not get much more.

If I recall correctly, people were compaining about having to pay a tiny fee to upgrade their Wii VC games if they wanted off-screen play/miiverse integration, something that would cost developement time. The fact that is totally optional and they still have their VC games they can play in Wii mode makes me grumble at how entitled some gamers are.
