Jamba Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Yeah exactly. Nintendo: Playing = Believing Sony: Sony = Stealing

AshMat Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 What? Did anyone not understand that in the slightest? "will Okami be on it will VJ" Right// That's what i thought :S I think he means: Will Okami be on it? Will Viewtiful Joe be on it. Who's gonna break the news that Zelda won't be on ps3 :p
DiemetriX Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I'm not sure if any one have tought of this before but, Since the PS3 has linux.. you can play more backlog (nes,snes,n64,genesis,etc.) games on PS3 than Wii VC. (but using a emulator and roms are illegal... so don't do it)
Pit-Jr Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Nintendo grows a pair?? http://news.spong.com/article/10098 Nintendo calling out Sony? I like it! I was hoping he would mention them copying the 360 too. Maybe Bill Gates will field that one.

mario114 Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 UK Price confirmed to be £425. pick your source: http://news.google.co.uk/?ncl=http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2006/05/18/uk_playstation_3_425/&hl=en Games radar as also reporting this now, also the 20G versio is "unlikaly" to be released in the UK. I still can't get over the price, it's just insanly high. When games and pads have been got (which are needed), it's over £500, way way to high, there is so many thing I would rather spend my money on.
Bren Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 well, this is my first and last post in the PS3 thread. FUCK YOU SONY
m_fergy Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Im still undecided If MGS4 comes out at launch I will get one, but I cant see that happening Up to now MGS4 is the only reason I want a PS3
Hero-of-Time Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Im still undecided If MGS4 comes out at launch I will get one, but I cant see that happening Up to now MGS4 is the only reason I want a PS3 That and FF series is the only thing I want but im not paying the price they are asking that and there aint enough decent games to merit a purachse. Dabookerman made a valid point saying that MGS4 wont launch and by the time that is out there may have been a price drop.
MasterYoda Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 ...there aint enough decent games to merit a purachse. First generation games allways suck. When the 2nd and 3rd waves of games come, than we'll see if there aren't enough games to warrant a purchase. Plus, the price will drop by the time the awesome games like Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, Tekken 6 and Gran Turismo 5 come out.
Jamba Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Anyone seen this yet? http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=17141 Also just as a side note, it says that they haven't filed against Nintendo yet. They can't because Nintendo don't use the same tech.
Caris Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Im still undecided If MGS4 comes out at launch I will get one, but I cant see that happening Up to now MGS4 is the only reason I want a PS3 yea but then is £450+ for MetalGearSolid4 worth it? Thought not.
dabookerman Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I can bet my bottom dollar that MGS4 will come out november 2007 (at least in the US) for the following reasons: Hideo kojima confirmed that we will say mgs4 in playable form next E3, meaning an almost finished version presumably MGS 2 and 3 were both released on a november What they showed at tgs was just a real time demonstration and nothing of the finished game (other then things that will feature in it) Its gonna be a massive game. so for those desperate to play it i would advice to save up now for 18 months, i know i am, and i will most definatly import it as ps3 is region 3. i hope it doesnt come sooner tho.. oh and one more thing: 2007 is the 20th anniversary of metal gear. which is fitting, the end of the saga ends on the 20th anniversary.
BlueStar Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 A huge wodge of that price is to become an early adapter to blue-ray, when it could end up being a new Betamax and when standalone players will come down in price massively by the time there's anything to play on it. The Sony guys are saying it's a massive bargain because a standalone blu-ray player is about £100 more than the PS3, but look at DVD Recorders. Went from £950 to £150 in next to no time.
CoolFunkMan Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 well, this is my first and last post in the PS3 thread. FUCK YOU SONY Seconded. damncharacterlimit
Adrian DX Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I dunno if this has been posted before.. but... TV on PSP... looking horrible.. and the worst part is, this is a serious banner that is created by Blaze (the creators of the TV adapter) "Could not be more simple" LoL
Domstercool Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I'm so sad that no one is interested in Lumines. That game is brilliant and it was also a launch game. DAMN YOU PEOPLE! :P
