Slaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Fight club was a confusing, at that age, but brilliant movie. 20 minutes of 'The Producers' Blegh 2/10 The Producers? That was even worse than troy. I watch half hour and wanted to kill my mate for making me watch it.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Alrighty, I'll borrow fightclub off a mate and get back to you lol. Btw, whats Twelve Monkeys about? Bare in mind, they're both 'serious' films, and can be a bit heavy going at times. You'll definitely have to concentrate with both of them. You could check out Twelve Monkeys on IMDB. It's firstly set in a post-apocolyptic (sp?) world, but then takes place in the past. Just watch it!

"In a future world devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet" (from IMDB) woah, that sounds great! If its as good as people say on imdb I might go and order the DVD from amazon. Thanks for the tip (btw are movies like "crash" and "All the King's Men" considered serious movies? If so I might have to watch more of them because those two movies were great to watch)

Don't think "ok, so this this and this is going to happen." As you'll just end up with too high expectations. But, watch out for Brad Pitt in that film. Clearly the star.
Ant-Shimmin Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Shrek 3 Based on the ideas of the other, still funny however, yet you kind of how it's going to end Good film none the less 7/10
killthenet Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Don't bother with "Twelve Monkeys" it's too long and it's flawed. Watch the film it ripped off instead, it's called "La Jetee" and it's much better. And on the topic of Brad Pitt, I don't think I've ever seen him in a challenging role. Glad he dropped out of "The Fountain" he would have been awful in it.
Chuck Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny 8/10 Not as bad as it did in the cinema, but a non fan would reverse the score to the other end of the spectrum.
Slaggis Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Don't forget his performences in Babel and Seven! yeh, thats the only film I've seen him act well in so far (as I said though i;ve only ever seen his worse movies), he was brilliant in seven
mariosmentor Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Oceans 13 ...suprisingly good actually. Not amazing but still a completely watchable film. Compared to 12 this is a vast imrpovement. It's got all the slick, smart and style back although it does only amount to a massive, predictable heist movie with nothing else actually going for it. Doesn't hold a candle to the original but holds bloody floodlights to the piss poor 12. 7/10

4q2 Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Sex Sells: The making of touche Mockumentary on the porn industry. Had it a while, never got round to watching it. Laughed pretty much all the way through it. 7/10 Sunshine: Garbage. I dont know how I managed to sit through it. A poor mans 2001: A Space odyssey. 1/10
mariosmentor Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Sunshine: Garbage. I dont know how I managed to sit through it. A poor mans 2001: A Space odyssey. 1/10 That makes me a saaaaaaaaad panda. ps. Note to self, we need a sad panda smiley.

Oxigen_Waste Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 So is fightclub really good then? I was going to watch it on channel 4 last time it was on but never got round to it It's only the best thing to come out of hollywood in the past ten years. Simple as that. Don't bother with "Twelve Monkeys" it's too long and it's flawed. Watch the film it ripped off instead, it's called "La Jetee" and it's much better. And on the topic of Brad Pitt, I don't think I've ever seen him in a challenging role. Glad he dropped out of "The Fountain" he would have been awful in it. I don't know... I kinda think Monkeys and Jetee stand on the same level. And about Pit... TYLER DURDEN. Nuff said. (I know he's just being himself, but god, he's good).

Ant-Shimmin Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Hot Huzz Funny film, original storyline enjoyable at best 7/10
flameboy Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Oceans 13 Much better than 12, loved the finale awesome. 7/10

Don't worry about it, it's just a disagreement. Not a fascist rant demanding you to change you're score. Though that would be nice...pretty please :P
EchoDesiato Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 8/10 Really funny comedy. Both Val Kilmer and Robert Downey jr. are brilliant. As is Michelle Monaghan, who is very hot.
Hellfire Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Better than the first, without such gaping flaws, it's pretty watchable. Plus Silver Surfer is awesome and it has parts in Japan. And I like the way theu used the Super Skrull idea and the new Galactus. ALso, Jessica Alba is a Goddess.

Konfucius Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Last Boy Scout A really awesome action film. It has colourful characters and although they are in their essence action film stereotypes they stand out by far because of how well and deeply they are portrayed. The pacing is also very good, there is enough time to develope the characters yet there's also enough action and good lines. It also breaks free from the hollywood standards it seems. Especially the ending where the bad guy blows himself up and everyone starts laughing like in a family comedy is pure brilliance. 8/10
Hellfire Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Nacho Livre Very sully, but very funny. Jack Black rocks.
