Casino Royale: What a shit script! Worst Bond!

That's not really saying much, as pretty much all Bond movies have been terrible. Still I thought this was a cut above the rest, or maybe that was because I was drunk. Who knows.

casino royale was increadable, fair enough it wasnt exactly down to earth, bond films arnt, they dont have to be, there enjoable and trashy, though casno royale put an edgyness to the bond universe, oh, and has the best bond ever.

Casino Royale was awesome! I've never been a massive bond film, I've seen them all but they have been ok...but Casino Royale was another matter, truly just such a good film, one of the highlights of last year.

anyway last film I saw and rated:

Football Factory 7/10

having recently watched green street went back to this, still think its the better of the two hooligan films...

I love Casino Royale so much. Watched it twice on DVD allready and I love the Main Titles sequence so much, with all the cards etc.

Favourite quote ever :-

Vesper Lynd: If all that was left of you was your smile and your little finger, you'd still be more of a man than anyone I know.

James Bond: That's because you know what I can do with my little finger.

How rude!

Seriously, the script blew. I mean the little finger thing and the orphan thing and M's entire dialogue GODDAMN.

Terrible!

EDIT: Now Tomorrow Never Dies -- there's your Bond film.

The Spy who Loved Me

One of Roger Moores best Bond movies and also one of the best Bond villains bieng Jaws. A silent, but violent villain in my opinion.

The movie gets 9/10

Meh, it was nice back then, but watching it now, I just get bored.

Pfft. It's probably the most entertaining Bond of the lot. The only part I would consider boring is when Goldfinger waffles on for about 5 minutes towards the end. From Russia with Love is also fantastic.

Anyway, watched Raging Bull again. I didn't think much of it the first time I watched it, but I definately enjoyed it more this time around, although I still found it dull at some points.

8/10

And as were so obsessed with Bond now, I have a look at one tonight. Maybe a Timmy Dalton one.

Just saw 'Ali'....wow.

Will Smiths performance was amazing, the music was amazing, everything was perfect.

9/10

Anything that makes it similar to Rocky?

Anything that makes it similar to Rocky?

Hmmm. Well, like Rocky, the film isn't too heavily based on boxing (unlike rocky IV). I mean, if you go into the film expecting a great boxing film then you're gonna be disappointed. The film (like rocky actually) focuses on the characters life outside boxing and how he made an impact in the ring.

Ali covers the most important parts of Ali's life; his first professional fight, the moment where he became muslim (when everyone started to hate him), to his fight with George Foreman where he regained the title.

It really is a fantastic film; i loved every moment of it  i really recommend it Stocka (i reckon you'd like it, seeing as you like boxing yourself). Infact, anyone who liked Rocky would like this!

Why do you think it gets such praise? That's precisely why...

Do we like that stuff...you know..like bad things? Do we like bad things now?
