Happy-Go-Lucky

a.k.a. The Life and Times of Bluey Circa 2019. Was nice to see someone with a positive outlook on life in spite of the world around her being so miserable. Although the driving instructor was a right tit he did remind me of my friend's dad...and a racist version of how I'll probably end up.

Be Kind Rewind

A mess of a film. Total garbage.

Monster House

A good idea, but they didn't pull it off well. Lame second half, and I found the animation to be rather ugly.

Transporter 1 + 2

After enjoying Shoot Em Up very much, I gave these two a go. Some pretty decent car chase's, but otherwise nothing worth mentioning. Jason Statham has got to be one of the worst "actors" ever.

A Perfect World

Great film. Kevin Costner escape's from prison and abducts a young boy as a hostage, and both form an unlikely friendship on their travels. Emotional ending.

Lady V was my favourite. Keep meaning to pick it up one day (benefits of having film studies lecturers, taksies :p)

Half Nelson

Nice at the start, toward the end it became a bit sickly. Almost Disney like (if you ignore the drugs). Stil, not bad :)

Seven Pounds

Way over-rated. It wasn't a particularly original storyline and it was very predictable. Not that sad either.

6/10 (and that's probably generous)

I heard a review that said pretty much that. The reviewer kept going on about a squid too. I need to check out some sort of synopsis because it made me curious, and I don't want to see it.

Slumdog Millionaire

A simply superb and brilliantly well shot and acted film. It has a happy ending, though in between the film's numerous depictions of torture, corruption, murder, sectarian violence, extreme poverty, domestic abuse and the bodily mutilation of children for profit, "feel good film of the year" doesn't quite ring true somehow.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

I liked it! Good old fashioned violence, blood, teeth, swords, arrow, vampires! Fit. 7.5/10

is this new? I've (somehow. Forgive me) seen the first two. They're spectacularly average but do feature Kate Beckinsale in very tight leather so most of the films faults can be overlooked.:heh:

Rambo [4]

Pretty good, in that it was awesome fun to watch!

But I felt they could have maybe gone into his character a bit more, all we got story wise was: decided to help, kicked ass, realised he'd had enough of all this, and that it was time to go home!

Also though it could have played a bit more homage to Rambo I, and he could have done a few more stealthy scenes, and set a few more traps etc...

The christian helpers were all a bit naff, but made for decent enough story motivation. Though the sniper played by Matthew Marsden was cool!

Really6.5/10

Apparently she's not in this one.

I might be lying though.
