Shorty Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I imagine this game would be a lot more fun if you played it a lot less :p I mean some people will only be level 10 or so by now, even if they bought it at launch. They'll always be getting new content to get through the slow parts instead of capping constantly then waiting for the game to catch up. That's probably the game's biggest issue, that it wants to be played like an MMO, but is only a fraction of the size.

That's why I've played so much. I agree with you, if I'd only played 3-5 hours per week I'd still be on it. But, I can't stress that enough, I thoroughly enjoyed every second I spent with Destiny. : peace:

I've noticed a fair few people on my friends list who have stopped playing and moved on to something else. I had a major issue with it last night. For the first time I had to go it alone as people were either playing other stuff or doing other missions. I wanted to do the Queens mission as I have 6 bounty tickets sitting waiting to be used. Because there is no matchmaking in these missions I had to attempt them alone. I got pretty far but then kept getting picked off. With nobody to revive me it started to get frustrating having to restart from the checkpoint. After this it then hit me that if you have nights like this, where nobody is online to hook up with, you are pretty much screwed if you want to do certain missions where there is no matchmaking. I'm close to level 29 and once I reach that point i'm pretty much stuck and can't get any further unless I do some raid mode. I can see why people were complaining about the lack of matchmaking in this and other modes. Had the same issue on Tuesday myself, just couldn't do the Queen's mission and ended up getting annoyed at being unable to progress as I was the only one free on my friend's list to do it. I've had slightly better luck with more recent missions, but even then, would've preferred to have teamed up to make it a little easier (not that the legendary gear being offered at the end is worth it as it's all been the same chestplate everytime ). I've also had some rotten luck with regards to the matchmaking for playing the normal strikes (2 in a row I've had terrible randoms to play with; first run on the Devil's Lair, one quit because he died as a result of standing in a stupid place during the fight with the Devil Walker so had to 2 main Sepiks and then in a run on the Summoning Pits, one of the guys shot off pulling all the mobs after him, leaving us behind so when the mobs hit the edge of their active zone me and another guy had to run through them and got slaughtered They really could do with some better matchmaking for the strikes and I can sort of see why it's not included for Heroic missions, strikes, and these Queen Missions but surely they could at least include some form of it. It really mustn't be that hard to do it. Saying that, I'd love to do the Weekly Strike later to grab some Strange Coins, as im only a few away from being able to get something from Xur tomorrow, and I'd absolutely hate to be paired with randoms for that. But yeah, think like a few others, getting a little burned out on this even though I haven't been full on playing it massively. Even finally getting level 25 last night felt hollow as I saw how much I'd need to grind rep and whatnot to get further. Plus, apart from a 20 minute stint on Rayman Legends and a little bit of Velocity X2, I've not really played anything else on the PS4 yet, and that includes Infamous. So maybe I'll shelf for a little bit and experience other pastures. But knowing me, I'll probably not bother and be straight back on later tonight, doing bounties, missions and patrols in the hope of getting some gear and levelling! They do seriously need to reveal their hand a little more on what they've got planned though. 2 expansions isn't sounding great unless they're beefy and I suspect they won't be. I'm betting their going for a yearly release on this courtesy of Activision

I'm not happy one bit about that. Makes the whole event pointless for me now. To hell with you, Bungie! They are clearly worried how fast people are getting through the content.

Fuck me, I had a stack of queen orders queued up! So annoyed I didn't run all my strikes already. Silly fuckers, they shouldn't piss people off like this if they want people to carry on playing their game! Edit: and wowie. Apparently the loot cave is gone too. The fact they patched it just as we finished a Queens Wrath quest as well

It's going to be a long slog now.

I can understand getting rid of the loot cave, but as it's been said there is zero point dismantling the gear. I can understand that they don't want people levelling up so quick, but c'maan. Hopefully they sort something out and don't continue to bugger things up.

By joining a faction, all experience earned from Vanguard, Crucible and any other bounties will all count towards the Faction you joined. I've yet to join a faction, i'm looking to get my Crucible rating up to 2 before i join one.
Ganepark32 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Just had a look at what Xur is offering this week for Strange Coins and thank god I didn't bother running the weekly Strike a couple times to get enough as he's offering nothing of worth, at least for me. Might consider plonking down some Motes of Light for the exotic engram and hope it comes out as for my class but not expecting much. Finally managed to get a piece of armour other than the Queen's Guard Plate yesterday doing the Queen's missions. Got the helmet and it looks rather snazzy, especially with the red and white colour scheme I have going on Have run a few more missions in the hope of getting the arms or legs but haven't had those drop, just went back to the plate. Never mind then. Have had the Old Russia Restoration mission so many times though, which is great as it's easy to finish so nice easy way to get a legendary piece of gear, even if it's always the same as what I already have. Had a shocking Strike mission on the Devil's Lair earlier. They really need to sort out people dropping out as playing with 2 randoms, both of them dropped out, one during the Devil Walker fight and one just after so I was left to one man Sepiks Prime until 2 other randoms joined just as I'd gotten him down to half health (rather quickly though I must say). But so not on for the 2 that dropped out. The first was cause he got killed (use cover and don't get hit by the Devil Walkers attacks) and the second simply as there was only 2 of us left. Have Bungie put in place some sort of thing for penalising people who drop out mid-Strike/mission? I can understand that sometimes you'll have to leave unexpectedly for whatever reason but these 2 just dropped and probably went straight back in to another run of it.
Agent Gibbs Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I did that strike mission last night with someone and wished i'd dropped out during the Devil Tank fight! Idiot stood on the small outpost building shooting its head and kept getting a face full of tank shell! i lost count of how many times i had to revive him! the other guy was generally good and took good cover spot but he never helped out reviving. The one time i got killed he never revived me the timer counted down almost to zero,then he got killed himself and i had to respawn and revive him the game really does open up post level 20, missed that loot cave, never knew it existed, wish i had! I bloody hate my primary weapon, Rare scout rifle 199 damage, best i currently have but i just don't like the scout rifle, most have too small a clip and are basically semi auto sniper rifles, yet every weapon i've gotten for days has been an uncommon lower damage weapon, or a hand cannon and they are even worse. tempted to go back to my 186dmg pulse rifle, its not as good but a clip of 27 is better than the 13 in the scout rifle

So yeah, I'd probably be up for playing for a bit one evening - I don't finish work until quite late tonight and Saturday though - perhaps even Sunday afternoon, we'll see... whatever level, don't mind but I guess anyone who's around level 20 or even if you're under level 20 and just want to play a few missions then give me a shout and we'll see if we can get some missions together. : peace: Otherwise I'll just be online and you'll find me playing PvP matches endlessly.

So i collected it, got it coded into a Legendary Scout Rifle. I now have these 3 as Legendaries so far Cruisader I (Scout Rifle) Final Boss (Sniper Rifle) Zombie Apocalypse WF47 (Machine Gun)
