lostmario Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 After playing this today, its now a day one purchase for me. The demo only had 3 stages but I must have played through them 3-4 times. Really fun to play and the game looks and plays great.
RedShell Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Really fun to play and the game looks and plays great. What button layout does it use, traditional B/A for Run/Jump, or new style Y/B?And if it's the latter, any idea if the controls can be customised like NSMB on the DS?
Agent Gibbs Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 What button layout does it use, traditional B/A for Run/Jump, or new style Y/B?And if it's the latter, any idea if the controls can be customised like NSMB on the DS? Had a go of this myself at GamesBritania controls were B/A to jump and Y/X to run. The game didn't have any menu's or options available to customize it, just a straight demo of the three stages, once completed it restarted. So for now we just don't know if controls are customizable at all but like lostmario this is a day one purchase for me now too, its really polished and just what you'd expect from this sort of game.
lostmario Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Had a go of this myself at GamesBritaniacontrols were B/A to jump and Y/X to run. What time were you at Games Britannia? I was there from 10 to 12.30.

lostmario Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Wish i'd bought that Mario is Missing for the NES the stall at the back had now i think on, but i wanted the snes version if anything I browsed through the NES games, didn't see Mario is Missing.
Agent Gibbs Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I browsed through the NES games, didn't see Mario is Missing. Yeah it was £12 and thought wow i always wanted that game....for the SNES, about an hour after i'd left i felt bad knowing it was fairly rare, bet it didn't last long
Rummy Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) So apparently the Direct/Digital Download of this is going to be limited to just US and Canada according to this. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/30976 In other news, I'm an idiot and the above isn't quite true. Rummy Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 That only concerns American release, if I'm not mistaken. Ohhh I see, yeah I totally misread that. I'm an idiot.
-Dem0- Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Andriasang "If you had difficulty with Super Mario 3D Land, you may have come to rely on Mario's White Tanooki suit, which made Mario invincible for the remainder of the level. The White Tanooki Suit is back in New Super Mario Bros. 2, Famitsu reveals this week. The conditions for accessing the White Tanooki Suit are the same here: die five times in the same spot. The White Tanooki Suit will come to the rescue via an Assist Block."

Serebii Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Why would a plant have bones. Fail. Why would a plant have teeth? Must resist urge to buy this on the Japanese eShop next week
Retro_Link Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Why would a plant have teeth? Venus Fly Trap inspired?
Dcubed Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Why would a plant have bones. Fail. Maybe it's made up of the bones of all the Marios that it has eaten? Edit: NEW FOOTAGE! (2nd set of Jpn adverts and they actually showcase some new levels/mechanics!) Now THAT's more like it! The giant Boo level and the Koopakid chase looks like tons of fun! Can't wait Edited July 18, 2012 by Dcubed
