nightwolf Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I'm shocked and appalled none of you have made this thread. Honestly guys, what gives? Anyway, it's father's day, I'm pretty sure we've gone and had a mother's day over most of the world. So what did you get your Dad/father/Daddy etc? Are you doing anything today? I ended up getting my Dad a large jar of 500 penny sweets, he's got a massive sweet tooth, so it fits. Although he's not here today until this afternoon. Happy father's day N-E!
Goafer Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I'm shocked and appalled none of you have made this thread. Honestly guys, what gives? I'm fairly certain my Dad doesn't post here.
Pancake Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I don't have a dad.* So i don't have to bother getting stuff. Yipee! * He walked out when i was a baba.
nightwolf Posted June 19, 2011 Author Posted June 19, 2011 ...well this is slightly more depressing than I'd hoped..
ReZourceman Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 * He walked out when i was a baba. How does flour walk? (Sorry to make a joke)
Happenstance Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 If I ever have kids i'll be encouraging them to just ignore this day. Wouldnt want them wasting money on me for no reason.
Pancake Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 How does flour walk? (Sorry to make a joke) Maybe he was the egg! Oh wait, eggs can't walk either...
ReZourceman Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I made my ones buy me a card, but it doesn't feel right with them not being mine. Maybe he was the egg! Oh wait, eggs can't walk either... That's no yolk.
Pancake Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I like this topic. It's totally worth not having a dad!
Beast Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 My Dad always tells me not to bother buying a Father's Day card or presents because he doesn't like me wasting money on it but I just ignored him and got him a card, some Old Peculiar and a box of Maltesers, lmao. He actually told me off for getting him presents but in the end, he were happy, lol.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 * He walked out when i was a baba. Anyways, I got my Dad a pint glass which says "My Dad is Cool". I know, amazing. And step-daddy an apron/hot sauce set.
Rummy Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Man, I always hate father's day. Because it also always tends to be my dad's birthday(yesterday). Most annoying thing? There is literally NOTHING I can think to buy that he'll make use of/doesn't already have.
Esequiel Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I love fathers day :P Im not in touch with my dad but have 2 kids and they always make a fuss (with my wifes help of course they are only 3 and 4 lol). I got my 3DS and some hugo boss aftershave
Esequiel Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Yeah i actually got it last week and i traded in my spare xbox aswell but my wife put the extra cash towards it with pilotwings, rayman 3D and Pokemon Black. Oh and she got me Zelda yesterday
ReZourceman Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 You got a 3DS?! Fuck me, I need to get some kids! What kind are you looking for? I might be able to help out.
Eenuh Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Father's day was last week here. We just got dad a gift card for a store, after asking him what he wanted (he said a gift card would be fine). He'll probably forget to use it. And we went out for dinner with some of the family and grandpa.
The Mad Monkey Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 My dad is dead, and I hope he's burning in hell, he was an utter cunt to me and my mum.
Aimless Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 It might as well be called Toblerone Day in our house, as that's what my dad always receives. That should be interpreted as tradition rather than a lack of imagination, mind.
Frank Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Myself and the 2 siblings each got some horribly cheesy cards for my Dad. I never like buying those cards but it's a "tradition". Then, because we're absolutely + horribly lazy children, my Mam bought him the gift. We'll be paying her back though :p It's all very fancy "Tour de France"/cycling gear. He lurves it. I think we'll be going out for dinner later too
nightwolf Posted June 19, 2011 Author Posted June 19, 2011 Phew! I thought this thread was a gonner. To those who's dad's aren't around etc - it wasn't meant to be a thread to push this into people's faces, I just thought it'd be nice to have a thread. Rummy I share my birthday with father's day and my Dad's birthday is July 13th, oh the horror. Well no, it's pretty good excuse to get very drunk and get expensive food. But still :P
nekunando Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I seem to be the only one in my house (apart from my dad) who knew what day it was today I let my brother put his name on the card I got to save his blushes.. I got my dad a few things for his video camera a couple of weeks ago as a present so, for his sake, I'm glad at least someone knew what day it was..
