MindFreak
That is ... SO much better. He looks really good now. Fantastic. Oh, the movie also seems better now, I even laughed a few times during the trailer. Might actually go see this now! Yeah, I'm sticking to my original tinhat theory on this one: this is the way that they always had Sonic designed, and the atrocious design in the original trailer was a way to generate a lot of conversation through controversy around the film before -surprise!- they turned around and promised a redesign within a few days, and have followed through accordingly. It's a stroke of marketing genius if that's the case, because it would have worked as planned.

MindFreak
It could be but they did end up delaying the movie. If everything was actually ready, it could still have been released here in November as originally planned. Also, Sonic Mania's designer Tyson Hesse was apparently brought in to work on the redesign:
MindFreak
Maybe there is a little truth to Paramount using the design as a way to get attention. https://www.indiewire.com/2019/11/sonic-redesign-cost-paramount-five-million-1202190493/amp/ Quote The character redesign has led many in the industry to question just how costly it was to go back into the film and reanimate Sonic. One tweet alleging the redesign cost $35 million and brought the film’s total budget up to $125 million has gone viral with over 10,000 re-tweets. It turns out that number is outrageously high compared to what Paramount actually spent on the change. A source close to the “Sonic the Hedgehog” production estimates the character redesign cost Paramount less than $5 million. The source says VFX work on the film was far from completed by the time the decision was made to delay the film and redesign Sonic. The only Sonic VFX that were fully completed were reportedly the ones seen in the first trailer, which dropped online April 30. The source tells IndieWire that any rumor alleging the redesign made the “Sonic” VFX team suffer is far from true. This means that they could have been testing the design with the audience but perhaps they didn't expect so much to be changed. Hero-of-Time
I didn't realise Fragile was in this. Hopefully this one will be better than the other Dainel Craig Bond films. Apart from Casino Royale, they've all been pretty poor, IMO. Roger Moore era Bond is still the king for me.

Happenstance
I do hope we go back to Bond movies being a bit more fun once Daniel Craig is gone. I haven't liked any of his movies.

drahkon
It's always interesting to me to read/hear those "Who's your favourite Bond?"-conversations. I didn't grow up with the Bond movies so I can never join these convos but it's funny how supposed friends get into a heated argument and end up screaming at each other I do enjoy the Craig movies, though. At least the two that I've seen. 25 minutes ago, Hero-of-Time said: I didn't realise Fragile was in this. Wasn't she a Bond Girl before? She sure is a lot prettier with long hair. bob
Live and Let Die is the best bond theme for sure. I did actually quite like that one Jack White and Alicia Keys did though, even if i can't remember which film it was for (bond theme names should always match the film name, its confusing otherwise). That trailer looks pretty good though. drahkon
Just watched Joker. Loved it. Joaquin Phoenix is incredible in this. Really hope they'll continue this "universe" in the tone of the movie.

Helmsly
Edit - Just beat me to it! Loved seeing some of the old stuff in the trailer, like the proton pack: And hearing Venkman's infamous "Call it fate, call it Kharma..." line being said while some of the score from the original movie kicked in was just wonderful. Goafer
Just saw this pop up on Facebook. Not a fan to be honest. Seems to miss the tone of the originals to me. Even though I found the trailer for the reboot painfully unfunny, it seemed to at least try to match the original's style. This just seems like someone tried to combine the retro aesthetic of Stranger Things with modern day. Also, children for some reason. Also, how the fuck could anyone forget/not know about the events of the first movie? Surely everyone would still be like "Hey guys, remember that time thousands of ghosts, including a fucking huge marshmallow man took over New York for a bit? That shit was wild". I mean, do you remember the big ghost attack in San Francisco that actually happened 30 years ago? Didn't think so. Point, set, match, game, yahtzee.
Sméagol
Meh. I was afraid of watching that trailer. I love Paul Rudd, I mean, I have his action figure, but I remember the last time they tried a new Ghostbusters film, and the this trailer did nothing for me. I'm inclined to skip by default.
