Fused King Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Are those pics in-game? Because it sort of reminds me of: Edited July 20, 2012 by Fused King
Cube Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 The only thing that looks "too good" is the draw distance of the lights. I'd imagine that it would get reduced.
Dog-amoto Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Ok, people are banned from posting in this thread unless it's a new screenshot, video or a release date.
Cube Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Wild speculation is also fine. I think (hope) that the free roaming multiplayer will have Burnout style challenges and games.
Murr Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Ok, people are banned from posting in this thread unless it's a new screenshot, video or a release date. breaking the rule, But I agree, everytime I see a new post here I get a little excited, to only then be let down as nothing new has been shown / unveiled.
Happenstance Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 GTA V trailer recreated in Battlefield 3:
Retro_Link Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Looks gorgeous! I've never really been that interested in GTA before, and I've only ever played a bit of GTA3 and Vice City at a friends a long time ago. But there's something about the more vibrant visual style of GTA5 that's really got me very interested! Think this could well be my very first GTA.
Dog-amoto Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Let's hope we can go on the fairground this time...
Deathjam Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Lets hope this doesn't run like ass on the PC like GTAIV did/does. At least the brilliant job that was done on Max Payne 3 gives one hope.

I mean I bought L.A. Noire for the PC a while ago, and it runs like utter friggin' shit. There must've been some kind of issue with the console / pc porting, because it's a really bad job. Canyourunit shows best performance, so shouldn't be a req problem. Skyrim runs just fine...
Cube Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Yes, my new PC still really struggles with GTA4. And it can smoothly run Skyrim with added graphical effects, some higher resolution models, higher resolution textures (higher than the official texture pack) and other stuff. It's not been optimised for the PC at all. I'm surprised such an incompatible game is even allowed on Steam.

I mean I've been considering buying it for the PC because of the customisable soundtrack, but now I'm not that sure anymore...
Cube Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I can get it to run. It's just clunky, empty and ugly.
Deathjam Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I wouldn't get GTAIV for pc. Even though I run everything on max settings, the game looks worse than the PS3 version. Jaggies jaggies everywhere. And the game has a stuttering issue which has been attributed to a memory leak. It will be running at 60fps fine and then suddenly drop down to 30fps. There's a few more issues but i will see what mods can do when i can be bothered to hunt them down. Oh and cars still control like ice cream trucks.
Helmsly Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) Rockstar put this screenshot on their facebook page today Edited August 22, 2012 by Helmsly
Cube Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 How awesome would a Tennis minigame be? They did make Table Tennis, after all.
Retro_Link Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Damn this looks incredible! Hope you can parachute right on into that river and swim out!
Dog-amoto Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) I'm hoping for bungee jumping off that bridge too! Is anybody else a little disappointed that the "more to follow" wasn't the second trailer? It's gotta be coming soon, right? Edited August 22, 2012 by Dog-amoto
bob Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 To be honest, that first screenshot just makes me yearn for Just Cause 3.
Helmsly Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 To be honest, that first screenshot just makes me yearn for Just Cause 3. ha yeah me too. I hope there is gonna be a just cause 3 next year.
Magnus Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I'm playing Just Cause 2 at the moment, and that screenshot just made me wish I was playing Grand Theft Auto instead. :p Their worlds are so much more interesting to explore.
bob Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 True, but getting around in Just Cause is so much better. If only they made some sort of crossover game. Or just put Rico in GTAV, that would be amazing.
