Woke up at 4.00am this morning for work to find the first snow had fallen here. Probably around 2 inches or so overnight. Did not make my night time drive up and down over the hill particularly fun, had to go slowly and even so I slid on two corners.

Ah what the heck! Here's hoping for more the same tomorrow morning! :D

Today has been most displeasing. I keep seeing it pelt down with snow and I'm loving it. Then it cuts off for around ten minutes and it melts. Then it starts to snow again. This shizzle is never going to settle.

Make your fucking mind up sky!

Weather fairies, not sky! Speaking of which, I have been meaning to ask them to stop sending gigantic hailstones here which get packed down into a thick layer of ice

Aww shaven, your dog is teh cuuuuuuute :3

I had a few near misses thanks to the powdery snow. Its a nightmare to brake! All I can feel is the tyres skidding and reversing up my drive is a nightmare. I live on a part of the street where it goes up a hill, so that part of the road is icy to fuck thanks to stupid twats over-revving or just being careless. So I have to turn the front of my car out onto the road to reverse in (my drive is ALSO a hill) and with it being front wheel drive i'm just not going anywhere.

But I still feel safer in my car than on my feet!

Curses! My plan to go to the Trinity Open Day in Dublin tomorrow have been ruined because of the weather :(

It's been cancelled, but hopefully moved to another day. We (people at school) had the perfect plan too. I was looking forward to seeing the snow :weep:

I think the snow was getting too cold for his furry paws...

My apologies. Whoever it is has decided to listen to me and give me my pr0 blanket of winter sexiness. Not sure how long it'll last though, skies are blue now.

Here's the video of my 2nd snowman build, from last Sunday.

At the start it didn't go well as the snow was a day old and dry it wouldn't stick together or hold a shape, we fixed that by adding some water :heh:

This one was sped up to 8 times normal speed.

It snowed real heavy last night. It's like 5 inches thick now. I'm tempted to build a 3rd even bigger snowman... I'm also tempted to try build a snow wall and jump through it.... maybe both....

I officially hate the snow now. As some people will know I work at a Residential college for the visually impaired and disabled. Soooo after it started hammering it down they sent home people who live far away but not people who live near. Thing is my usual route home is an old railway line in the middle of the countryside, this takes about 30 mins usually, however its pitch black by the time I finish so there is no way I'm walking that way even with a torch.

So I face a walk down the regular roads that will take at least 1 hr and a half maybe longer....roads aren't moving so getting a lift will take just as long....

They then have the problem that there may not be enough care staff here as some can't get in so they expect people who live close by to work all night (we have waking nights etc...due to students medical needs) I'm just like fuck that I've been here since 8.30 this morning.

And I'm 200 miles away in a snowless Aber doing (should be anyway) shitty essays when I'd love to be back home in the snow. And Dan has the audacity to complain.

To be fair, he did miss out on boobies. Not even cyber boobies, but real life boobies.

Though technically there is no snow on the roads. My friends still think its a good idea for us to go out tonight, drive around going to pubs. Surely I'm not being to cautious when I think driving about on icy roads tonight won't be a good idea..
