nightwolf Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Moving house again! New house has another room, a garden, an amazing view, cheaper bond, private landlord... but is cheaper than where we currently live. Win. Grats! Pictures? My car passed it's MOT, thats a pretty good thing when I want to go travelling. : peace:
Shorty Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Always nice to hear the "you've passed" on an MOT First time I MOT'd my old car I had a list as long as my arm of things it failed on. Re: house, not even sure of our moving date just yet, probably/hopefully early next month. But will post some pics when we do, or else the rooms might all appear in the upcoming bish
nightwolf Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Luckily my car has passed the last three years that I've had it, but with a car that's only 6 years old and has only done 37k I'd be annoyed otherwise, it's had three new tyres and it's suspension springs re-done. It is nerve wracking though, like waiting in the doctors.
Ashley Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Glad to hear about the new place Shorty and the car success Nightwolf Went for an interview for an internship and got it on the spot 8-) In fairness it was community management so I have about six years experience in it :p Unpaid but its only one day in the office and as many as you want at home. Should hopefully let me mingle with people in the know and also teach me things I can do here. Yup, even my internships are geared toward this place :p
martinist Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I found my old Pokemon Blue and Yellow cartrages in the loft, fully boxed with instructions. The yellow one even still had the little bag you stuck the cart in...Time for some late 90's nostalgia!
nightwolf Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 I still have my original gameboy and gameboy colour along with pokemon yellow, blue and red. I vaguely recall a 99 blastoise and charizard on them, but I've not touched them in a long while! td;lr have fun!
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I'm pretty self conscious, but today the sun is out and it's about 28degrees, so the t-shirt has come off. I've been playing some Frisbee and listening to a playlist consisting of Death in Vegas, Roxy Music and Sigur Ros. Somehow, it fits the mood. Has Summer arrived? I think it has!

dwarf Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) Anyone got any Zavvi discount codes they could PM me? I'd qualify that as 'good stuff' if so Ordered up anyway now Edited August 2, 2011 by dwarf
Goafer Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Can't think of anywhere else to put this. Bronze done good. A policeman was flung into the air by a criminal driving a stolen car - then immediately got up and chased the offender on foot. PC Dan Pascoe, of Surrey Police, used his Taser stun gun to stop Lee Adamson escaping before the officer collapsed from his injuries. Police had set up a road block on a slip road of the M25 at junction 11, near Chertsey in Surrey, to stop the stolen vehicle. Video footage shows the officer being thrown violently to the ground after his police car was rammed by a blue BMW driven by Adamson on July 3. Video is on the link.
dwarf Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 50 Cent I feel like the under Dog again. This is when I make my best material. Ill write a song that plays for 10 years again this week. English 50 Cent I feel like the underneath of a dog. I am producing good fabric. This week I am going to write a really, really long song.
Cube Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) I've somehow accidentally misplaced my website... As a result, It's given me an incentive to make a new one. This time I'm doing one that's above what I need it for (i.e. joomla). Pointless, yes, but good practice. Edit: The database is intact so I can still access the content itself. Serebii Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Following on from posts in the bad stuff thread; My nan has been moved to a specialised Stroke Recovery Unit at Christchurch Hospital a week ahead of schedule. Although she has some gaps in her memory such as having the last few years missing in her memory of a few of my cousins, she is back to herself personality wise. Still likely to be there for over a month but she's making progress

Ashley Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Glad to hear there's some good news at least Serebii Had a good day yesterday. After a minor TFL setback (what else is new?) I got into central and did the various things I had to do and still had plenty of time to walk around in the 30 degrees heat in a black suit which was...wonderful. Went to the interview and I think that went well. Or if not at least they had a robot, which makes everything worth while. Afterwards I had time to kill so I sat in some park and just after I sat down someone sat down opposite me and I though "I think my housemate may sleep with him" so I text her this and we were textually conversing and I think he kept catching me glance at him. My life is a bad sitcom at times. Then did some other things before meeting my aforementioned housemates for drinks and food. Off to the Trocadero to play with pandas then went to the cinema. The air con had broken so by the end of the film I only had two buttons done up. Classy!
nightwolf Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 I woke up and found someone had sent me a really nice message via Linkedin about my 3d work.
Captain Falcon Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I posted a comment on one of my favourite band's Facebook page and they "liked" it. That's about as good as it gets these days.
Ashley Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Helped out the couple downstairs with some stuff and they gave me a gift card from M&S. Which was nice of them obviously. Expected £5 and checked it today and there was £30. o_O! Also the landlady (who the downstairs neighbour gave the card to) said to them at the time "Oh that's nice. They'll [me and my housemate] will probably spend it on wine". Judgemental cow :p Least we don't drink G&T all afternoon and fall asleep in front of the tv.
Cube Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 After losing my entire website yesterday (it was a rubbishy Wordpress one anyway), I've now completely built a new one from scratch.
Dyson Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Went to London Girl's birthday party last night. Afterwards, everyone else went home, we went to bed. Didn't leave the room until 4pm today We then proceeded to go in to town and get cookies and milkshakes. Dime/Daim bar milkshakes. Incredible. I also bought Parappa The Rapper for my PSP
The Bard Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Yeah, I'm gonna need a full account of physical transactions there Dyson. Pron is blocked in this country.
dwarf Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I've just stumbled across TedTalks. .... The amazingness of this resource sends me giddy, most of the lecturers are fantastic. I'd link one but there's too many worthy vids for this thread.
