Tales Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Been thinking about buying it for a while and finally caved yesterday. There a few other buildings I rather see in a big model, but it looks great though, and very good price per piece count. It was between this and the new Bucket Wheel Extractor(largest technic set to date), but I might buy that one too if nothing else interesting shows up by the end of the year. Agent Gibbs Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 After the bit of chat in the "Design the NX Controller!" thread I was in the mood to get a PSP Go. Mainly just for my gaming collection as I never had one but I also thought it would be a good handheld emulation device for me. What's it like for emulation/custom firmware? Since some games I want to replay, namely crisis core and star ocean 1&2 aren't available I'm tempted to get hold of the roms and use something like this. I did have a psp Phat version somewhere but considering how cheap I saw one of these I am tempted

Mine should arrive today or tomorrow so I'll let you know.
Beast Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I've not played much Disney Infinity. There's no Toybox mode, but there are small free-roaming hub worlds for each franchise (you just need one character from it to enter). It's very similar to the other LEGO games, but with the added portal puzzles (which requires moving the figures around on it). I was also surprised that it supports 7 objects. Characters also aren't limited anywhere in the game. So for the Doctor Who level pack, you're not limited to Doctor Who characters. Plus they're bringing out Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter sets soon, so it's not like you have much choice. This one? That sounds really cool. I wanted it for Ghostbusters as well. I saw Newt/HP in the trailer and was like "SOLD" but I'd have just got the pack. I think I'm going to trade Disney Infinity for it. Infinity is great but offline levels are short and the online just sucks (and they're removing it next month anyway). Keeping the Hulk figure though! xD Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Installing the custom firmware and then adding the emulators and a couple of PSP games was really simple.
Jon Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Solid purchase. 10/10. Need to buy it for myself yet. Went for the 3rd one this season. Hello luminous colouring.
Mr-Paul Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Pokémon Go made me do this. i've gone and ordered a pack of two decks as well. Got a new job so might treat myself to the new Arsenal shirt too.
Cube Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 A board game called Dread Pirate. It's apparently awful and I'll probably never play it, but the box and components are really nice.
Sméagol Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Pokémon Go made me do this. Whyyyyyyyy? Is your foot in the picture.
Mr-Paul Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Whyyyyyyyy? Is your foot in the picture. Didn't notice that! Was just a quick pic to send to a friend on facebook!
Sméagol Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 You must be very close then, sending pictures of your foot .
Shorty Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 For a moment I thought that was the PC copy and I looked at the PC in the background with a little bit of disbelief :p
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 And also considering that second monitor thing that all the kids are having these days. But dunno yet.
Shorty Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 These days? :p been using a dual monitor setup since I started uni in... 2006.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 These days? :p been using a dual monitor setup since I started uni in... 2006. I was bucking the trend by doing shit on ONE SCREEN back in those days. That's probably why I work at Tesco now...
Shorty Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Depends what you use your machine for but I couldn't really manage without it now. Even when just doing something leisurely, one screen is for music.
Beast Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Upgraded to the newest Fitbit after the Charge HR completely stopped connecting. Apparently a few of them started doing it. I didn't even know it was a thing. One day, it stopped connecting and I didn't notice for a week. Tried everything for three days with no luck. Guys I took it back to tried as well and couldn't do it so got my money back, traded a couple of games and got this beauty for £120. If you can upgrade, do it. It's AMAZING!
Ganepark32 Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Because listening to the soundtrack while playing No Man's Sky wasn't enough. Absolutely brilliant soundtrack though, will keep me going through work. Also put in pre-orders for Bound and Grow Up on the PS4 to save some pennies before they launch next week.
Cube Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Two tickets to Yes, that's two tickets. The other one is for a girl...and it was her idea.
EEVILMURRAY Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I'm tempted to go to this one. But after I fear it'll just be the same as the first two (missed the third but swapped posters with a mate so I have all three)
