Josh64 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I love the look of this, if the price is right I'll definitely reel this one in 1
Ronnie Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 (edited) Switch hardware sales should pass the PS4 and Game Boy this quarter. Quote As part of Nintendo's latest financial report detailing performance for Q2 of fiscal year ending March 2023, the company has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch has now sold a gargantuan 114.33 million units. Once again, however, Nintendo states that sales have declined year-on-year thanks to the ongoing semiconductor shortage. This time, sales have decreased by 19.2%, totalling 6.68 million units, however the company reassures that demand for the console remains stable, with big hitting games like Splatoon 3 providing a healthy boost. Here's a breakdown of sales according to specific console SKUs: Total Standard Switch sales this period: 2.23 million Total Switch OLED sales this period: 3.53 million Total Switch Lite sales this period: 0.92 million Looking ahead, Nintendo has decreased its expected sales forecast for the Nintendo Switch by 2 million, moving from 21 million down to 19 million by the end of March 2023. Nintendo cites the ongoing semiconductor shortage as the reason, but states that "there is a gradual improvement in semiconductor and other component supplies and a recovery trend in hardware manufacturing", so that's good. Top Ten Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games (as of September 30, 2022): Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 48.41 million (up from 46.82 million) Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 40.17 million (up from 39.38 million) Super Smash Bros. killthenet Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Xenoblade had a solid start too, selling 1.72 million units. There was also good news about Kirby, Forgotten Land is now the best selling game in the series history. I still can't believe that New Horizons has passed 40 million though, absolutely insane. 1
Ronnie Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Great news about Kirby, hopefully leading to more 3D games in future. Didn't realise Fire Emblem Engage is out so soon, very quick reveal > release.

Jonnas Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Sakurai's out there paying an editor and a translator (8-4, at that) just to show off his cute cat playing with a Kirby plushie. He truly is the best of us.
Dcubed Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) FUCK YEAH!!! TGM!! First time that any TGM arcade game has ever gotten a home release! You guys are not ready… Edited November 22, 2022 by Dcubed 1
MindFreak Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 This is pretty cool. Found in a datamine of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 2 1
Glen-i Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Well, that completely ruins Sony's argument on why the acquisition shouldn't go ahead, doesn't it? Shrewd move.
Dcubed Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 (edited) Win-win for Microsoft here. They’re not directly competing with Nintendo anyway and consider them partners where appropriate. Cunning move. Edited December 7, 2022 by Dcubed 1
Ashley Posted December 7, 2022 Author Posted December 7, 2022 Although with the Switch hardware COD will be more like a guppy 🥁

killthenet Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Has anybody's pro-controller (or joy-cons I guess) ever remapped the buttons on its own all of a sudden? It just happened to me, I'm playing SIGNALIS so at first I thought it might be intentional, but when I finally managed to figure out how to get to the home menu the problem persisted. Thankfully updating the controllers firmware seems to have fixed the issue, and it's back to normal for the time being, but I do wonder if it's a sign that my launch pro controller might be on its last legs - served me well for 5 years at least.
killthenet Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Totally understandable, the guy has been working himself into the ground for ages so he deserves a break. I hope it is only a break though and he does have a couple of games left in him - let someone else take the reigns on Smash but give Sakurai the chance to flex his creative muscles with something brand new
Ashley Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 If anyone wants to potentially fix their Joy-Con sticks a company is offering replacement sticks using hall effect sensors. https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/22/23566353/switch-joy-con-drift-solution-nintendo-gulikit Speaking of, used the console in handheld mode for the first time in years and the left just wouldn't click. Hoping some compressed air in there will fix it up. 1
