Jonnas Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Bowser is shite... All he does is kidnap Peach. Really badly. Doesn't even do anything to her. Truth be told, I kinda like the "Villan Stereotype" parody he's become in recent RPGs. That said, Bowser was never much of a real villan. Except in Melee, when he turned into Giga Bowser.
Cube Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Bowser isn't the villain. All he wants to do is spend time with his beloved Peach, but the darned plumber keeps taking her away from him.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Bowser is shite... All he does is kidnap Peach. Really badly. Doesn't even do anything to her. I wouldn't say he kidnaps her badly. That implies he fucks up halfway through, he manages to do the deed 100%. It's not his fault a plumber plows through 8 castles to get her back.
Nolan Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 A few antagonists have their shades of grey. Sure, Kain tried to make the world a better place in later games, but in Soul Reaver 1 he's undeniably a cruel villan (Though I haven't played Defiance yet. I don't know what he does there) Ah, well I won't spoil anything for you, but you should go play through Defiance.
MoogleViper Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I'd like to change my vote to Killface. I am doom? Hank Scorpio Whatever happened to Hank_Scorpio? Truth be told, I kinda like the "Villan Stereotype" parody he's become in recent RPGs. That said, Bowser was never much of a real villan. Except in Melee, when he turned into Giga Bowser. I didn't know Bowser supported Aston Villa.
Jonnas Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I didn't know Bowser supported Aston Villa. ...How long have I been making that typo? Oh well, it's staying.
Mr_Odwin Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Whatever happened to Hank_Scorpio? Didn't really make the switch from cube-europe. I think he has like 60 posts on here all from around that period.
Nolan Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I am doom? You mean to tell me that you aren't here just biding your time until you are rich enough to wipe us all out, and possibly try to run for the US presidency with a penguin?
ThePigMarcher Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Seeing as I love most things David Lynch I just had to stick these two in (I don't think they have appeared in the thread yet). Frank Booth - Blue Velvet, awesome performance by Dennis Hopper and Bob, Twin Peaks
Roostophe Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 ...How long have I been making that typo? Oh well, it's staying. I'm going to say to you what Arnie said to that chubby six year-old who was eating the other kids' lunches: "STOP IT!"

Tellyn Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Pop quiz, hot shot! There's a thread on N-Europe about your favourite all-time villains, and Howard Payne doesn't get a mention. What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO?!
Dan_Dare Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 The big dog Norman Osborn. He's a super powered Patrick Bateman meets Peter Mandelson and practically runs the world, barely keeping a lid on a seething mass of paranoid psychosis. Brilliant.
Febee Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 SKELETOR, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS YOU I used to love He-Man so much. Watching it again now, I realise how terrible and badly scripted it was. It's utterly hilarious.

Paj! Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I always loved Shocker from Spider-Man, since he wasn't insane, hell-bent on revenge or anything. Just felt realistic. I remember one where he was really realistic about things, having incorporated a vibrating force-field around him so he couldn't be touched, and then destroyed a building on top of spidey. Too easy.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Hexadecimal from the ReBoot series. She truly scared me - but maybe it's because I was pretty young at the time. Man, I loved that show. To this day I'm sad they never showed past season 2 in Denmark. Maybe I should try to get hold of some DVDs online ...

Was that the one where the people kinda plugged themselves into a virtual, surreal world? That was unbelievable.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) MY FAVOURITE! Forgot all about that. It was so amazing. Was that the one where the people kinda plugged themselves into a virtual, surreal world? That was unbelievable. Sort of. It follows the inside world of a computer city, Mainframe, and its inhabitants, the robot-like Binomes (little Ones and Zeros) as well as the main characters, the more human-like Sprites: Bob, Dot and Enzo. They battle the two Viruses, Megabyte and Hexadecimal, as well the Games loaded into the city by the mysterious being outside Cyber Space known only as the User. Outside Mainframe is the Net and the Web with countless other systems and characters ... both good and evil. I loved the show, but finding DVDs of it has proven tricky. EDIT: I found out you can watch the episodes online. Here's the link to episode 1, part 1, if anyone's interested: http://www.blinkx.com/video/reboot-the-tearing/8OF_9fzYy68cw2vEFwyLEA Edited September 12, 2009 by Dannyboy-the-Dane
Ashley Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Actually that reminds me; (Coraline's Other Mother. Best pics I could find) I was quite creeped out by her at the end of the film.

She was fucking scary, when her face switched to the angry one... that whole show was pretty mental to be honest.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 She was fucking scary, when her face switched to the angry one... that whole show was pretty mental to be honest. Indeed, the scary mask terrified me ... especially because she always came so close to the camera. But yeah, the show was indeed weird - but that's part of its charm.
