Gonna try and stretch it out and not play it all in one go which I could quite easily do if I get carried away. Love the style and vibe about it. As does everyone who plays it. What I love about it is its not trying to be big and clever with its swearing and big titted girls it knows what its doing and plays on it expertly. Think it benefits from the grindhouse cheesy horror feel and way it presents itself as a film of that era... Not managed one goregasm yet though...

If used correctly it would have given the game a certain charm but instead it tries too hard and eventually just comes off as if the developers were trying to make young kids snigger everytime the F-Bomb is used.

Because it's a giant piss take of old grindhouse horror films I just laugh everytime I hear his next line. The whole game is just one giant laugh, even down to the glasses getting smacked off, then been back on the guys head again, lol.

You see I side more with this view...yes the swearing is OTT but its so OTT you just know they are not doing it so show off they are doing it for the laughs... Yeah loved the bit when the glasses got knocked off and were still on him. Also loved the dialogue there...so harsh and un-PC but so so funny...
Ganepark32 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Had another run on this there just now. Just finished Scream Train and christ was the boss a right pain. He was easy enough to get while on the right hand side and when infront but when he was on the left, if you're not quick enough you can't shoot the claw. Cost me a life. But did it and managed to collect all of the golden brains on that level, first time I'd done that, which was cool. Maxed out the magnum and haven't yet bought any other guns but might do although the magnum is good enough.

Ganepark32 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 HAve to say that that Scream Train level was pretty buggy. Quite a lot of lag when I was playing through it and that's not just the game on screen but also with firing the guns. Wasn't detecting some of my shots when it was lagging.
Mokong Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Haha, just finished the last level, Overkill, bloody awesome ending, funny and grossly sick at the same time. ...at the "Missing Reel" gag, I was getting so pumped up for a massive boos fight then all of a sudden, "Reel Missing"? WTF? Was expecting some sort of joke cut scene with a cinema projection worker trying to find the reel and putting in it (possibly a playable joke level...shooting mutants who stole final reel). Then cuts to the two guys outside, "Hey that was tough, can't believe we survived...yeah good thing we found these mini guns..." WTF? haha. Hoping that part is playable in Directors Cut mode haven't started DC yet, gonna try go through all levels in one go with extra zombies first

The missing reel is still missing DC mode The automatic shotgun when maxed out is pretty bad ass. It's too good. I beat the third boss in like 5secons with it (multi player)

I've developed a plan for that... found some old 1kg wrist weights the other day... strap them on when I'm playing this, slows down reactions a bit and gives the arms a small work out at the same time... though 1kg isn't too much... saw some 3kg ones in the store the other day might pick them up, haha.
