ReZourceman Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Is there something that you are really passionate about? Talk about it here! Tip; As this is a video games forum, if your main passion is video games, why not talk about something different? We talk about video games all the time!
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I like to think I'm very good at painting the little Warhammer thingies. Don't have a clue how to play any of the games, just like the painting.
Strider Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I like to think I'm very good at painting the little Warhammer thingies. Don't have a clue how to play any of the games, just like the painting. I do that, buy and paint them but have no clue how to play. The few times i've been to Warhammer World i'd have a tutorial with those blokes who get really into the games. Quite fun but i can never be arsed to read the whole rules. As for my hobby, i play guitar and that's about it really.
MoogleViper Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Wanking. I do like to play football, tennis and golf.
ReZourceman Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 with those blokes who get really into the games. Christ, those people are hurrendous. "HAS IT WOUNDED! HOLY CARP LETS SEE! *Rolls fifty dice/die* ZOMG! FOUR SIXES!" *Rolls eyes* What army do you guys like painting?
Guest Stefkov Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I um...like taking apart things. Anything. I guess collecting figurines is becoming a new hobby. Can't say I have a passion in anything.
EEVILMURRAY Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 At the moment I'm painting a Tyranid army I swindled from this bloke on Ebay. About £160 worth of stuff for £50. Score. I've painted the bigger models, now working on the mundane smaller ones. I'll post some pictures at some point during the day. The evolution of my skillz is noticeable.
ReZourceman Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Sweet, Id like to see that. Green colour schemes = whin.
Chris the great Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 my big hobbie is swords. i collect swords and books about them and the people who wielded them. i have great love for the samurai, my katana is my pride and joy, even if i am nursing a nasty cut from it. i also love films and reading, i try to watch as varried films as possible, though i don't think ive read a book set in modern times in the last 6 months. i belive i just like the escapeism.
Strider Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Over the years i've had (and lost) Tau, Orks and now the only ones i can find and still have some left to paint are the Dwarves.

Have any chinese swords? Battlefield or broad. When I get back to England i'm considering investing in a decent version of both for my practice. Anyway post pics if you have.
Tales Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Aside from video games I collect Elfquest and tv-series. I have the manga and Archives version of the original series and all single issues except one(New Wawedancer #1) of the sequels. New Blood #10 is signed by Wendy Pini. TV-series are something I started to watch when I didn't have much to play in late December last year. Since then I've bought 29 season from 12+ series. Collected manga for a little while but after a few series it started to bore me.
Jav_NE Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Mainly music and film i guess. And i suppose writing counts too, but that's my job. I don't play or watch much sport anymore, not sure why, i just lost interest.
Shino Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Games? I don't really like anything... It's kinda sad.
DomJcg Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Old victorian fantasy i love, have no clue why, just do, such examples: Dr Norrell and Jonathan Strange, The Bartimaus trilogy. Books as a whole i love =] But recently, anime and manga have been owning, epic storys i can't get enough of (TTGL stuff really) And politics, my one true love, i get giddy writing about it =D
Esequiel Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I like to think I'm very good at painting the little Warhammer thingies. Don't have a clue how to play any of the games, just like the painting. I had to stop painting last year, just never had the time I was pretty good aswell :P My main passion is Tropical fish keeping.
Ellmeister Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Well even though its not a year round thing, skiing is my passion. When snow season arrives I'm so hyped about going skiing. Other than that, theres not a lot I can say is a specialy hobby of mine. Just playing football doesn't really count. I also love driving though but that might just be because I've passed recently.
Ashley Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Christ, those people are hurrendous. "HAS IT WOUNDED! HOLY CARP LETS SEE! *Rolls fifty dice/die* ZOMG! FOUR SIXES!" *Rolls eyes* Says the 21 year old who collects Lego.... Anywho. Fiction. Television preferably but I do love a good story (and television is better at telling stories than film). And the creation of them in my head and one day I shall write them down...
ReZourceman Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Says the 21 year old who collects Lego.... I don't understand what you're implying? What I find....interesting about those people is how incredibly into it they get, and how they are generall psychopaths - another example. *Second you walk in the Games Workshop door* "HELLO SIR HOW CAN I HELP WHAT ARMY DO YOU COLLECT?!" "Jesus. Just browsing yo'."
Chris the great Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Have any chinese swords? Battlefield or broad. When I get back to England i'm considering investing in a decent version of both for my practice. Anyway post pics if you have. i havn't got any yet, they arn't a very popular style, very few functional ones around (that i can find) i did see a beautiful dao (sp?) but it was to expensive, and with the new "samurai" sword ban in place it may no longer be legal.
