Sheikah Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I should stay away from Persona 4. I don't want to catch what Daft did. Get Ni No Kuni dude, impossible not to love it.
Cube Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Get Ni No Kuni dude, impossible not to love it. I don't know. I managed to watch a Studio Ghibli film and not love it (Princess Mononoke). Anyway, finished inFamous 2. Best superhero game ever.
bob Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Princess mononoke is rubbish though. Maybe I can pick up a cheap PS3 when the ps4 comes out so I can play infamous. Everyone seems to rave about it...
Daft Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Shut your filthy whore mouth. Princess Mononoke is amazing.
drahkon Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Started inFAMOUS 2 again, after taking a break from the game since..I don't know, when has it been released? Forgot how incredibly fun it is to destroy shit and go on a mindless rampage. Think I will complete it this time.
ThePigMarcher Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Started inFAMOUS 2 again Funnily enough, I was thinking of making a start on it this evening. I managed to complete the first game earlier today and ended up loving it ( I really didn't see that ending coming, although thinking about it, I should have done) so it makes sense to jump straight into the sequel. The wasn't one of those franchises that made me think about making the jump to PS3 so I really wasn't going to bother with the game initially. Now I'm glad that I didn't miss out.
Rowan Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Infamous is a good example why more game companies should risk new IPs instead of just using their older characters in new situations because sales might be safer. I had never heard of the game when I got a PS3 (probably like many others) until it was given away for free after the hack. I didn't even know there was a sequel until Tretton mentioned it at E3 at release. However given the game's quality (particularly the second one which wows you in how polished it is from the start), given how much heart has been put into the game and given how it hasn't been whored out with yearly iterations it's become a series I'm deeply interested in and I can be damn sure that I'll buy a PS4 asap when Second Son is released.
Cube Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Decided to see what evil was being like. The change in combat is great - so much fun not having to worry about anyone and the kinetic pulse is much more useful as a weapon. Got the chain lightning pretty quickly.
flameboy Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 So PlaystationEU teasing on twitter another game being added to the plus update....will find out tomorrow apparently. Also Uncharted 3 multiplayer has gone free to play.
Rowan Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 My guess is Walking Dead - maybe just one episode. Reason I think is is that there's history of Telltale and PS+ (Back to the Future), I also found it weird we never got a discount on it at Christmas. Could be any game though.
Retro_Link Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Thought it might have been GOW 3, with the GOW 4 demo out this week. Actually I guess GOW being the sequel to it makes sense.
Rowan Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 GoW HD is a nice bonus from Sony EU. Why buy games when you have PS+?
flameboy Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Never played a home console GoW only the first one on PSP seems as good a place as any to jump on board.
Magnus Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Yes, the first game in the series is indeed a good place to jump on board.
Dog-amoto Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Been using Universal Media Server for a few weeks with no problems whatsoever. Now for some reason, it won't connect. Absolutely nothing. I'm not doing anything differently at all. I did have some internet problems earlier but both my PS3 and Mac are connected to the internet and they're just not finding each other. What gives?
Grazza Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Got my PS3, got my HDTV, got Ni no Kuni...! Fired it up (the console) and it's quite amazing to see it displaying in 1080/60. Spent quite a long time marvelling at that, just admiring how sharp the words and letters were! Just looking forward to getting more games now.
Retro_Link Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I opened two boxes I had though the post the other day, one contained Ni No Kuni, the other Uncharted 3... Happy days! Got Uncharted 2 and Infamous 2 to tackle first though I think! Oh and Journey. And there's so many others to buy/download... ahh! FirstWorldProblems!
drahkon Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Just looking forward to getting more games now. You're gonna be poor. PSN ID? Give it!
Grazza Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 You're gonna be poor. PSN ID? Give it! Haven't connected it to the internet yet, but will try to do that tomorrow. As well as exclusives I'll be using it for multiformat games. I really fancy Crysis 2, for some reason. I'm not really into FPS, but I've got more time for the sci-fi type ones.
drahkon Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 As well as exclusives I'll be using it for multiformat games. I really fancy Crysis 2, for some reason. Do yourself a favour and get Far Cry 3. Haven't finished it but so far it's been the best FPS this gen.
Retro_Link Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I feel like I'd only get one out of Dishonoured and Far Cry 3, which would people recommend?
drahkon Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I feel like I'd only get one out of Dishonoured and Far Cry 3, which would people recommend? Dishornoredm but thatÄs only because I like steathl games., Edit: Er, well, I hope you know that I mean.
ThePigMarcher Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I feel like I'd only get one out of Dishonoured and Far Cry 3, which would people recommend? Tough call! Personally, I got more enjoyment from Far Cry 3 and it was one of my favourite games last year. That said, I've had no real desire to return to it since completion. Dishonored was certainly enjoyable and a pleasant surprise, it also has the added appeal of going back to redoing missions for different tactics/approaches etc, something I've not done yet but will do when time allows. It defeats the purpose of your initial question but you really need to grab them both.
Cube Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Does anyone who doesn't have PS+ want a 30 day trial code?
