Raining_again Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Leaving to see Angles and Demons with Lucy in an hour, followed by dinner at Zizzi's later. Nervous? I think so! Gooood luck Dyson!
Ellmeister Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 You know Dyson its funny, I'm going to see that exact film with a girl next week! She's the one I like but I don't think its reciprocated. She knew I was coming home though and put on her calendar, arrange something with Ell. I was surprised because I didn't have any major plan to do something with just her.

Havn't spoken to you since our WoW escapades o_O How's tricks up your end?
ReZourceman Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Prequel, sequel. Pffft. Fixed; And who in their right mind would take anyone to see Angels and Demons Seriously, The Da Vinci Code was one of the worst films I've ever seen. I'd rather die than have to look at Tom Hank's hair again.
Dyson Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 And who in their right mind would take anyone to see Angels and Demons for a date? I concur, it isn't very... first date-esque. She suggested it, I went along with it

ReZourceman Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 She suggested seeing Angels and Demons? Is there anything good bout' dis chick?
Ellmeister Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I suggested reading the book to my friend. So I suggested a movie randomly and she suggested the movie. Also, nice reply Dom :p ReZ got owned! Hi nightwolf! Glad your uni year is over! Mine isn't till tuesday!
EEVILMURRAY Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 She suggested it, I went along with it That's fair enough, but I stand by what I said DAMMIT.
Retro_Link Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) The book is a prequel, but I thought they'd done the movie as a sequel?... no?... And thats how they know about Hank's character/work and ask him to investigate.... no, probably made that up?! Hi nightwolf! Edited May 20, 2009 by Retro_Link
Daft Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Okay, well, I have an exam tomorrow and I know very very little. Can't be bothered to revise, so swiftly moving on... Next year I'm thinking about moving out. I have TWO options and I need some kind of help... Option ONE, I move to a massive warehouse type place in Hackney Wick which is up to and around £100 a week. It is massive, open plan and is pretty perfect for parties. Hackney Wick is miles away from university though. The place is pretty bare bones and probably needs stuff like a fridge and cooker. The place is amazingly cool. Option TWO, my friend has a spare room next to Waterloo, so dead central. The flat is pretty small and has no communal space. It's £100 a week, bills non inclusive. The location is pretty amazing. So they're roughly the same price. The cool place requires a bit of work and it's location is a bit lame but it is massive and the people who live around the area are pretty awesome. The awesome location place is small but location means I can walk to uni in about 20 minutes, and I am virtually on the South Bank. Option THREE I stay at home and save money even though I live in a transport dead zone. ....Hmmmm.....

Well if option one is just an empty space then you'll probably end up paying more as you'll need to completely fill it with washing machine, oven, fridge, freezer, furniture etc and even if you are quite lucky on freecycle it will still cost as its not likely you'll get everything on there, plus the added cost/time of transport. Is it big enough for two? That way see if you can get a friend to halfsies.
Daft Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) How would you afford the rent? Student loan fun. We are open to one or two more people but it depends on who and what we might be able to rent. No way I'm living on my own. So the initial cost will be more, although we've got a cooker already. A Fridge freezer would be the thing we need. Also some of the places do come with that sort of stuff. And you can request more rooms be added to the inside. Looks like this sort of thing, But they're all pretty different. Edited May 20, 2009 by Daft
Paj! Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The first one sounds the coolest, but not sure how you'd get it all for cheapo. ---- In other news, yay! I got a place at Leith School Of Art for the foundation year. This is where I want to go.
Goafer Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 A double bill of "interesting" days: Yesterday: Get up and go to tattoo place. Can't get my tattoo finished since the bruising on my "sprained" (all will be clear later) wrist hasn't gone. Never mind, I had a job interview a short while after the appointment so at least I didn't have to rush anymore. Went to the interview dressed in smart casual clothes with my tattoo visable. Not the best idea granted, but I wasn't going to wear a shirt and tie to an interview at a petrol station FFS. My long sleeved clothes were all in the wash so it was a short sleeved shirt. Got a phonecall about 2-3 hours after the interview saying that I've got the job, pending screening, which is just a formality. Today: I was meant to be at the petrol station for 1ish, end up getting out of bed at half 12. I have a letter. I open it. It's a letter from the hospital. They've re-looked at my X-Rays and it turns out I have a small fracture in my wrist. I now have to go back next Tuesday. I have a tattoo appointment the Wednesday after so I'll have to cancel that in case they decide to wang a cast on me. Bugger. Although my wrist feels OK so I'll do my best to convince them I don't need one. So I rush to the petrol station. In the rush I forget my national insurance card. Half way through the meeting I realise I've forgot it and have to go home and get it. Good start. Plus I may be working with the sister of a girl I fell out with. Might be awkward. Either way, I start Friday. The day went better from then though. I went to town and had a look in Gamestation. Turns out the have retro stuff back in. At least they did. I ended up with a Gameboy Colour, Pokemon Yellow, Gameboy Camera, Gameboy Printer and Saints Row Gun Edition (pics in the purchases thread later). Plus I'm now having the greatest tea ever. Potato wedge butty with Tiger bread.
