Fierce_LiNk Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I remember I posted Boro and Blackburn as bogey teams. Well...we drew 2-2 against Boro, and now we're losing 1-0 to Rovers. Of all things I say to come true, why choose THAT quote?
Platty Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Tevez you little beauty. Been a terrible match from a United fans perspective. However the last 20 minutes we been all over them and deserve a point or even the win. Ref has been TERRIBLE for both teams. Both of us should have had a Penalty.
Roostophe Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Bolton beating Boro means Blues are in the relegation zone, that will make them even more desperate to win tomorrow. The papers going on about Liverpool wanting Gareth Barry have probably unsettled him a titbit. I wish they'd fucking shut up, mind. I'm fucking nervous about tomorrow, I'm not sure whether or not we will win.

Tevez has been pretty nifty at getting us some last ditch or important goals. A little relieved we got a point, but a bit gutted as I was expecting us to get the win today. 3 points clear is leaving me a little edgy.

Me too BUT with that goal difference we can lose to Chelsea and still clinch it A draw at chelsea pretty much means we've got it in the bag!

I would've felt more confident had we won today, but it's all a little too close for my liking. We're going to need a big performance against Chelsea next week, to settle my nerves.
darksnowman Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 It would be best not going to Chelsea and playing for a draw. If you try and hold for a 0-0 Frank Lampard will have other ideas... but hey, he'll have other ideas anyway. If Chelsea can win the title this year it will be a great achievement, if you United get it... meh! Good to see that it was one of the rare occasions today when Liverpool can actually leave out some big names and still get the result. That all but ties up the fourth spot- one more point will put it beyond doubt. Its a pity we ended up just playing for fourth again, lets hope next season can be a different story... and theres still the Champions League to play for!
Dyson Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I don't think many people will be expecting a Chelsea win. Oh well, at least the Arse have nothing this year

I wouldn't be too cocky just yet cos we still have to play West Ham after chelsea who have a tendency to beat us.
Roostophe Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
darksnowman Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Both those away kits are disgusting. The greeny one is better than the grey... but even at that, I'm not loving any of them. I liked the white away kit, get it back because how can we have grey!? Like, we'll probably have to change kits at half time due to the players not being able to see each other on the pitch! 5-1 Villa? Hmm, I would like to see Brum stay up still. It would be good to have Reading go down. I think Fulham are just about done for- normally I would be happy enough to see the back of them, but I was hoping Roy Hodgson could have turned things around for them.
Gizmo Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:     Soon as I saw that result on BBC Sport I thought "Villan will be pleased with that"
the_villa Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 5-1 5-1 5-1 what a great result I just hope Barry stays at villa:yay:
Roostophe Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Soon as I saw that result on BBC Sport I thought "Villan will be pleased with that" That's an understatement, I'm bloody chuffed! Plus Man City beat Portsmouth 3-1 so we stay in 6th, but we've got a tough game against Everton next Saturday.
Fresh Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Like, we'll probably have to change kits at half time due to the players not being able to see each other on the pitch! I bought that kit as well......
nekunando Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I quite like the Liverpool kits (though you never really know until you see them for real ) ..but all I can think of is..
spirited away Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! 5-1! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:     Apprently only the third team (along with Spurs and Man U) to get 11 or more goals in two consecutive games - we won 5-1 Fulham, then 6-4 Reading earlier in the season, if I remember correctly! Another shitty draw at Wigan for us. I want this season to end quickly...
MoogleViper Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I'm surprised this board isn't busier. Whilst I dislike both Chelsea and Liverpool I dislike Chelsea less so I would prefer them to win.
Emerald Emblem Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 At half time, Liverpool lead by 1-0 but boy was it a scrappy goal, good job by Kuyt.
kyletherobot Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Kuyt really is proving his doubters wrong. Other than Gerreard and Torres, I'd say he has probably been one of the most consistant performers for the Pool over the last few months. Let's hope Liverpool can add a couple more goals in the second half to finish Chelsea off.

Davey_T Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Having beat both these teams playing today this year.... Want Liverpool to win. Prefer them over Chelsea
Ellmeister Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Getting a bit ahead of yourself aren't you Maddog? Unfortunately I'm busy doing maths homework so I'm having to run down every time I hear noises from the lounge. Saw the goal. Bad times.
