Slaggis Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 im still not really bothered about going out in questionable clothing, i mean, i'll wear jeans all week and as long as my shirt isnt stained i dont care, im also lazy about hair, but i sort of suit the dont give a crap look. recently though, ive been agonising about the small amount of fat i have, and blasting the gym 3 or 4 times a week. muscle never bothered me till i started to get some. i'm not one of the guys who wears t shirts witht he sleves cut off and does free weights by the mirrors. yet. Haha, yeah. I've started going to the gym now, though only once a week after college so nothing major or anything. I'd love to gain a bit of muscle, at the moment I swear if I stood behind a lampost, I'd dissapear. Anyways, good luck with the working out!
Fresh Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 This thread proves again why it is, and will ever be, the greatest thread of all time.
Guest Jordan Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I have to ask... wassup with guys wanting to dress like girls? Seriously. Wah. People may see this as a prejudice comment, but this is my two cents. You born a guy? You're a guy, you can go around having sex with whatever sex you want, but should it really cross the line of trying to become the other sex?

It's just society that's made it that way though, reallly. Society has identified 'boy clothes' and 'girl clothes' but really, shouldnt people be able to wear what the hell they want?!?! Soag says he thinks girls clothes look better, and I'd have to agree with him on the most part, clothes for guys are generally boring, I find myself going into shops and wishing that most of the girls clothes were made for guys. It doesnt make me want to be a woman, it just means i want their clothes! Crossdressing is just a bit of fun Jordan. Soag said he doesnt want to be a girl or anything, he just enjoys it, and his girlfriend respects that. Btw Soag, you look veeeery good as a girl! Me earlier this year at my gf's birthday party : Yay for crossdressing lol!
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 To be fair, I like to try on bras and corsets over my clothes, because I think its pretty funny. Also, I sometimes wear my housemates bra over my head, and pretend I'm a fighter pilot. I once chased her around the house with it on. And then, another time, we took a...cup (whatever they're called, one "cup" of breast) of her bra each, and just acted daft with them on. She has huge tits, so it dwarfed my head. So, I can totally understand where you guys are coming from.

In the end of the day what are clothes? Fabric, its just fabric you put on you to keep warm, some people like different types of fabric, does this make us bad people? Hell no. Its just that society is fucked up and makes us think this way. I'm the exact same person, and I want to be treated the way I have always been. For your information heels were orginally made for men, so they would keep their feet in their hourse stirrups, until those nasty women stole them off us. Also up until even a hundred or so years ago men wore tights and dresses as everyday clothes. What makes today so different.

Reminded of reading I just had to read (suprisingly) for a lecture which talked about all this. Fair enough about crossdressing but please don't remind me of my lectures :p

Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Our definitions of right and wrong are decided by society. Some of them are good (e.g. don't kill people), but some of them are just ridiculous and prejudice. Especially those that define what a man can do and what a woman can do.

It doesnt make me want to be a woman, it just means i want their clothes! Lies! (lies lies :p) Well. In a sense. Male adult clothes are boring, the kids still have cool clothes. Lesson in all this, be tiny and buy clothes aimed at pre-teens like me. Yes!

I know the other week me and the missus was buying clothes for our 3 year old nephew and I wanted the clothes we were getting for them they were so so cool.

Chris the great Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 well, to say you are born a man would imply that every single man must act the same, have the same values and interests, which is obviosuly not true. i dont like watching sports, as a man, im ment to, but i do dont. should i force my self to conform as i am a man? gender isnt as clear cut as penis/no penis, just as musical interests arent as clear cut as black people music and white people music. our values of gender are largly defined by society, as well as some apparent genetic basis (goole dr money and the boy with no penis for a good case study showing this). iwomen's clothing is designed for woman, with women in mind. its not so much people attacting values to the fabric as fabric being shaped and designed with the physical and general personality of women in mind. in that reguard, they are not ment for men, but thats not to say they cant wear them. the simple fact that some men do dress as women just proves that our definition of gender is to rigid, we need to acept its not just black and white, but a whole rainbow of possibilities.

Well put. So many women buy "boyfriend jeans" (I think that's the in term??) and I have a pair of male etnies on =) Absolutely nothing wrong with that. But its supposedly so much odder for males to want to wear female designs. Women seem to have it a lot easier, sadly =(
rokhed00 Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 its not just black and white, but a whole rainbow of possibilities. A much nicer metaphor than 'shades of grey', that is just so drab, much like mens clothes.
gaggle64 Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I'm personally in favour of bringing 14th century suits of armour and jesters outfits back into popular male fashion.
Chris the great Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 A much nicer metaphor than 'shades of grey', that is just so drab, much like mens clothes. i was going to say shades of gray, but it didnt seem fitting for this case. most of my stuff is black, gray or dark blue. too much colour makes me look like a douche
ReZourceman Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I was looking for an old post, when I came across *lolz* this...how I missed it first thyme round I have no idea, but alas here we go. I have never got the foot fetish thing. It's not that I find particularly weird, I just don't get it. I mean, it's... a foot. What's the attraction there? Doesn't ReZ have a foot fetish? I'm being serious. I like the foot from a birds eye view, it's a complex series of shapes, but I have a fear of the soles of feet, and I find feet, like...de-arousing. Indeed I do. Basically....its just something that happens or occurs...much like sexuality its not something people, or I choose...or chose, its just there, in the mind. In my case, it was a gradual thing...around the age of 16 very approximately, for some reason I would just find some porn pics/videos better than others...for seemingly no reason. Then there was a realisation that I would be focusing on the femals feet and then one day I realised what I was looking at and I was like....hmmm...thats....thats curious. And Ive just embraced it ever since. It has a certain amount of bad press with it, but I don't mind about that anymore. Its almost a blessing....well - case in point.... ...You like a celebrity? One you really really like. Whats the chance of a naked or nude photo shoot to crack it to? Probably low. Whats the chance they did a photo shoot with bare feet? Probably either high, or just a matter of time. But yeah....that probably weirds a few people out. No worries. In closing - It is not something that people have control over.

Devil's advocate; perhaps it's social conditioning that encourages gender diversity nowadays? Can't be arsed to argue my point, sorry!
