Cube Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Click Here This is the first time that Shigeru has been considered on the list. And he's doing rather well. Current top 5: 1. Stephan Colbert 2. Shigeru Miyamoto 3. J.K. Rowling 4. Bono 5. Steve Jobs
Pit-Jr Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 God knows what Bono is doing up there, but Stephen Colbert definately deserves the top spot
DCK Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Huh? I mean, the man makes video games. Bono should own him Seriously, nearly every rock band out there is influenced by U2's sound.
Cube Posted April 24, 2007 Author Posted April 24, 2007 Seriously, nearly every rock band out there is influenced by U2's sound. If that were the case, then wouldn't nearly every rock band suck?
Flaight Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 lol Anyway. I'm surprised to see Miyamoto in there. For me, he deserves it. But to see him actually listed is a pleasant surprise.
DCK Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I don't know what people's problems with U2 are. They've made some outstanding and influential music in their careers.
thirtynine. Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Huh? I mean, the man makes video games. Bono should own him Seriously, nearly every rock band out there is influenced by U2's sound. I would tend to disagree, J K rowlingz wtf.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Bono in that list over many thousands of far more influential musicians = fail.
Hellfire Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Stephen COlbert would be a hobo if it wasn't for Jon Stewart.
LazyBoy Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Love Shiggsy but Colbert all the way. Him speaking at the Press Correspondants dinner is the greatest thing on the internet, period.
Shino Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 If that were the case, then wouldn't nearly every rock band suck? LOLOL. Awesome. Although, I disagree.
Gizmo Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Bono in that list over many thousands of far more influential musicians = fail. I would say it was also for his charity stuff.
Zechs Merquise Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Bono is a ****, and who is Stephn Colbert? Miyamoto for number one!
Jimbob Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Wow, i am surprised that Miyamoto made it that far up the list even though he deserves it. I'm hoping he makes it to number 1
Fierce_LiNk Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 J K Rowling can piss right off. Seriously, go away, woman. Know your limits! A bit strange to see Shigsy and Bono up there, especially in an American magazine. Ahh, I dunno.
The Bard Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 If that were the case, then wouldn't nearly every rock band suck? That would most certainly be the case. Infact, it's entirely the reason 98% of rock bands these days suck. For that matter, what the fuck is JK Rowling doing up there? Time is going downhill.
Wesley Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I don't know what people's problems with U2 are. They've made some outstanding and influential music in their careers. Not everyone likes them.
... Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Current top 5 TIME 100 Most Influential People: 1. Stephan Colbert 2. Shigeru Miyamoto 3. J.K. Rowling 4. Bono 5. Steve Jobs J. K. Rowling...?
Guest Jordan Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Bono? Steve Jobs? The apple ****? Fuck that. They're both shit cocks.
The fish Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Steve Jobs? The apple ****? Fuck that. I never, ever, ever, saw that coming... Not in a million years.
ShadowV7 Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Why J.K Rowling? Mr Miyamoto FTW!! I don't even know the other people on the top 5.
LazyBoy Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Why J.K Rowling? Mr Miyamoto FTW!! I don't even know the other people on the top 5. If you have any interest in American politics you want to find out who Stephen Colbert is.
frankie_baby Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 If you have any interest in American politics you want to find out who Stephen Colbert is. which is why loads of people aint heard of him, if he wins that'll be a travesty wow he's a yank satirist where as miyamoto is effectively repressenting a cultural phenominom
Mayjest Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Hehe, Colbert No. 1! I hope Miamoto stays second. Despite the fact that the top 20 are there for pretty much a joke. Let's face it, an internet poll was never going to get the true top 100 people. Especially because most of those are unknown managers and executives of the IMF and World Bank (who hold far more power than any political leader, bar none).
LazyBoy Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 which is why loads of people aint heard of him, if he wins that'll be a travesty wow he's a yank satirist where as miyamoto is effectively repressenting a cultural phenominom Colbert is effectively leading a revolt against the American media at the moment. With the White House telling the media what they can and can't report on, the majority of the American population is very much being spoonfed what the government wants them to hear. The Bush administartion is being scrutinized by Colbert more than anyone else. He's essentially leading a massive liberal movement. Now I love Miyamoto as much as anyone one else, but he is definitly not more influential than Colbert.
