darksnowman Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Edd - that second d is very important - I decided to have two because of the legend Edd the Duck! Edd the Duck was great! DCK Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 ha! i mastered the dutch G - i can even say Graag Gedaan Haha well done Most English (or non-Germanic speakers for that matter) always seem to be say using the G sound from 'Juan' all the time and it sounds ridiculous. Now try saying 'hagelslag', 'aardbeiengebakje' and 'Scheveningen' Then again, 80% of the Dutch and German population never bothers mastering the English 'th' sound and just uses an s. That's even more ridiculous.

Supergrunch Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 If you want something hard to pronounce, try "ryu" (japanese). It's one syllable, and the "r" is a cross between an "l", an "r" and a bit of "d".
