Just a circus theme. It would start all slow and depressing, and suddenly it would pick up and clowns would burst out of the curtains juggling stuff etc. This tremendous cake would hopefully be iced by a clown making an R I P out of balloons as he danced on top of my coffin.

Posted

1. Guns N' Roses- The Blues

2. Incubus- 11am

3. Rise Against- Swing Life Away

4. Guns N' Roses- Estranged

5. The Jam- Going Underground- (Just for the comedy value! )

Your funeral sounds like a blast. When you die, can I be invited?

Screw the music, i just want my corpse to spring out of my coffin.

YES.

Posted

Legacy - The Gone Jackals (as everyone walks in and sits down)

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (introduction "We are gathered here today" etc.)

The Final Countdown - Europe (eulogys)

Ace of Spades - Motörhead (Loads of rock chicks laud it about my coffin)

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Monty Python (coffin lowered)

Then everyone has a jump on the complementary bouncy castle and goes home.

Alphaville - Forever Young [This would be rather appropriate if I tragically got my life cut short at a young age]

Angelo Badalamenti - Fire Walk With Me (Twin Peaks Theme)

Cutting Crew - Just Died In Your Arms Tonight [if I died in the company of my life partner, being female]

Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven [Depressing song, suitable for a funeral]

Rob Dougan - Clubbed To Death [if I was beaten to death by someone]

Hmm, maybe a couple of film soundtracks, like that one in Gladiator when he's walking to his family in death at the end. Or The Last Samurai or something.

So yeah something Hans Zimmerish, keep them depressed.

Posted

Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye (Perhaps more suited to this than Hallelujah)

Foo Fighters - Razor

Arcade Fire - Haiti

Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven

And possibly one of my own creations.

Then you can go to the wake, stop bloody crying, get pissed, have a good laugh, then bugger off home.

I'm torn between this banging selection.

Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive.

Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive.

ACDC - Highway To Hell.

Bon Jovi - I'd Die For You.

Bon Jovi - Dyin' Aint Much Of A Livin'

HIM - Join Me In Death.

Colin Hay - Overkill.

I don't want a funeral, I want a fun-eral.

Stone Roses-I am the resurrection (For ironic jokes, plus it's a good song)

Double Trouble and Rebel MC-Street Tuff (For the 80's rave crowd)

Lemon Jelly-Nice Weather for Ducks (To cheer everyone up)

The Pogues-The Sickbed of Cuchulainn (Seems appropriate)

and to round off Nick Cave and the Badseeds-The Curse of Milhaven, because there is nothing like a song about a mass murdering little girl to get people in the party mood.
