I see your point. It's like how in a lot of older games you could tell which doors could be opened because they were in 3D, while doors that couldn't be opened were simply textures. I've seen a lot of Tomb Raider fans complain about how climbable ledges stick out too much in the newer games, but in the older games the surroundings were so plain that ledges stuck out just as much without being lighter than the surroundings. But at the same time, I'm not sure that giving 47 magical eyesight and the ability to see through walls/observe patrol paths is really the best solution. Previous games (or just Blood Money, I can't remember) showed everything on the map, and I can kind of see why they would want to get away from that. But this just feels a bit too much Assassin's Creed.

By that logic, we may as well sacrifice a goat too. Hey, it can't hurt. :p Well, it would hurt the goat, I guess.

Because online petitions always work. I'd rather just hope for a fan translation.

Undoubtedly some older cartoons were/are great, but I dislike when people act like there are no good cartoons anymore, while everything was oh-so-fantastic back in the day. A) You're only going to remember the cartoons you liked, and not the bad ones, and B) We all had terrible taste when we were kids, and we only remember Power Rangers and Biker Mice from Mars as great shows because we watched them when we were impressionable children. So basically, I agree (even though I'm not a big fan of Tom and Jerry from any era). :p Probably. You're comparing the great shows of yesterday with the popular shows of today. I'm sure that ten years from now, we'll have a generation of people complaining about how much better cartoons were back in the early '10s.

Tomb Raider will have a detective mode (that's what I get for not watching the trailer)? So that's this game, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Batman... And people say all shooters are the same. Maybe it's this generation's generating health!

If this were a soap opera, Rokhed would still be around (for the drama) and someone else would be playing Jordan.

I'm still waiting for the the second Ace Attorney Investigations game.

I hate the belief that cartoons were somehow better when we were kids. Now we just need a thread about how much better games were back in the day. :p I doubt the latest Power Rangers series is any worse than the ones that came before it.

At this point I'm surprised you haven't just walked to a shop to buy it.
-
Well, he was banned ages ago for good reason, so it's not like anyone wanted him back. ... You're Rokhed, aren't you? Please don't hurt me.
-
Well, now we know why your housemates moved out.
-
Rokhed returned briefly not too long ago, but he wasn't exactly welcomed back with open arms.

I wasn't convinced before, but now I am.

That's both cool and disturbing. If your goal was to take all of the cute out of Venusaur, I'd say you've succeeded.

There's an article about this in the latest issue of Edge. It mentions how they're replacing the composer from the previous games (he's working on the new Assassin's Creed, so that may be why), as well as the voices of Diana and 47. Though the part about Bateson not returning as 47 isn't a direct quote and the official response right now seems to be "no comment", so there may still be hope. I'm already annoyed by how they decided to replace the voice of Diana after three games. 47 will apparently be more agile in this game, and he'll actually be able to sneak this time, rather than just walk around like a robot. So that's nice. The all-seeing map is gone, and now there's going to be something akin to the detective mode in Arkham Asylum instead. The game will have "smaller sandboxes" and a "checkpoint structure", but the article also mentions how there are going to be larger free-roaming levels, so I'm not sure how that's going to work with checkpoints. Freely walking around a huge level and experimenting was one of the best parts of the previous games. Overall, I'm slightly worried that this is going to turn into another Splinter Cell: Conviction. Hopefully they'll manage to strike a balance between new and old.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (if we're being like that) is great in single-player. It's really varied and the story is pretty good. Though if you want depth, multiplayer is probably the way to go.

"Tied the not", indeed. I hope it works out, though. I think the standard advice in these situations is to talk to the other person. Suffering in silence won't do anyone any good.

Ugh... My first Wii was stolen about a week before they announced Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. That was a frustrating E3. The Super Mario Galaxy games have a lot of filler stars (the challenge comets need to go away forever), but if you liked the first game, you owe it to yourself to check out the sequel. Even if you just get the sixty stars you need to finish the game, it's definitely worth it.

Isn't this the movie written by the creator of the critically acclaimed but criminally short-lived Lone Star? Because then it might be better than it sounds. -

Can't it be both? -
Man, you really did get over you 'Nintendo fanboy' phase, didn't you? And at the worst possible time. :p
