  1. This was finally cheap enough for me to buy and I finished it earlier tonight. I quite liked it, though I agree that the platforming was awful. You pretty much just hold a direction and mash X, and you can't fall down/make a mistake even if you wanted to (it usually looks impressive, though). There were a lot of times when I wanted to jump down from a ledge but had to climb all the way around because Monkey can only interact with the environment when it's been specifically been programmed for him to do so. The combat is decent, at least. What saved the game was the setting and the characters. I loved the bold use of colors and there were some impressive set pieces along the way. The story is serviceable, but I love the characters and the way they interact with each other and work together. I really felt protective of Trip after a while. I'm currently nearing the end of Pigsy's Perfect 10 and that's been enjoyable so far, too. It's a lot lighter on platforming and is more focused on defeating enemies with gadgets. The story's pretty lighthearted, but it's fun and fits Pigsy's character. So yeah, the gameplay is a bit wonky, but it's a good game overall.

    Glee

I think it's ridiculous that he's planning to get rid of a large part of the cast after three seasons. It really shows that the focus on the show is on the music, not the writing. Which has been the case since the back nine of season one, but ugh. It's especially stupid since they've done such a bad job with the characters they already have. Artie's spent two seasons rapping and his only storyline (if you can call it that) has been dating Brittany. Mercedes has had a couple of episodes about her weight/being a diva, but nothing that has really led anywhere. Tina's such a non-entity that I had to look up her name. They tried introducing a couple of new characters in season two, but they didn't do a very good job at it. Other than walking around shirtless, Sam only had one episode with what felt like actual character development. Mostly, he just had scattered scenes here and there, but he was so inconsistently written they were all pointless in the end. The only thing I remember about Blaine is how he had so many solos it was ridiculous. So yeah, sure, ruin the show like you ruined Nip/Tuck, Murphy. I'm sure that by the end of season three, I'll be past the point of caring, anyway.
  3. I wanna be the very best. Like no one ever was. Hey, it works!
  4. Is it too early in the relationship to suggest a threesome?
  5. His birthday wish wasn't funny enough.

    Glee

Ryan Murphy has confirmed that a large portion of the cast will graduate (and leave the show) at the end of season three. Which... um... sounds like a pretty terrible idea, to be honest. Of course, there's plenty of time for him to change his mind. Wouldn't be the first time! Not sure if this was worth bumping the thread up for, but I had to voice my dislike somewhere. At least he's planning on keeping Sam around. Whew.

    Lego!

Oh man, I had that back in the day. Lego was so much simpler back then.
  8. I'll watch the new episodes later tonight/tomorrow, but I can't say I'm too excited, since the horrible holiday episode is still fresh in my mind.
  9. Donkey Kong never cared about Peach. He was always more interested in Pauline.
  10. You know you love the Pokémon jokes. And I don't know how much more desperate you can get. It's been four and a half years!
  11. Is your destiny catching and training Pokémon? Seriously, if you really don't want to be single anymore, it couldn't hurt to give it a shot. You could always do what everyone else does and pretend you're just there for the tests!
  12. You should play the Paper Mario and/or Mario & Luigi games. They're full of references to and jokes about the Mario mythos. I think it works in those games, but I'm fine with the platformers being light on story. The story just got in the way in Sunshine.
  13. But Up has Dug! How can you not love Dug? You're not a filthy cat person, are you? :p Ratatouille didn't impress me when I watched it. It was okay, but I didn't love it. I think I need to rewatch it. I wasn't overly keen on Cars when I first watched it either, but when I rewatched the second half, I liked it a lot more. So I don't know.
  14. Gavin and his friend, sitting in a tree... not really... doing... anything. Well, if he's straight, I guess it's a good thing it's just a small crush. As long as you're happy, it's all good.
  15. Yes, new copies ship with a download code for the first game.
  16. I just rewatched Up today. I think it's one of Pixar's best movies. I cry every time he looks through the photo album. I'm afraid we can't be friends anymore, Gavin! Though I agree that it should never get a sequel. It's perfect just the way it is.
  17. You and the friend you obviously have a crush on? Yeah, I'm sure you'll get over it... if you know what I mean.
  18. Dazzy dazzdazz, Dazz.
  19. So basically what you're saying is that women have been throwing themselves at you, but no one has been good enough for you? :p

At the bottom of each desk on the mission select screen, you can select something like 'free roam' or whatever. That's what you're supposed to play to get all of the collectibles. Just remember that the side missions are different for each desk, so if you want to play all of those, you'll probably need to go through all of the different desks' free roam modes.
  21. You should just have one business card for everything. "Ashley: will do anything for money."
  22. It's out, like... this weekend or something in the US.
  23. Even the critics who liked Cars 2 seem to agree it's nowhere near as good as Pixar's previous films. Oh well. Guess the pressure's off now. Must be kind of nice for them. :p
  24. Haha, I thought you were congratulating him on not getting laid last night.
  25. But no jokes about trampolining not being a real sport? For shame. Though I suppose he's probably heard them all by now.
