You say that like it means anything. I played Kinect Sports briefly at my cousin's house. It was... alright. Like Wii Sports, it's the kind of game that's reasonably entertaining for an evening with friends, but I really couldn't be less interested in this.

Not being an online gamer, I've never understood the love for Halo. I played through the trilogy a few years back in co-op with my brother, and we both hated the first game. It was really boring with its reused environments, standard shooting and hard-to-follow story. The third game was alright, at least. But yeah, not a fan.

I'm definitely voting for Jay for Most Depressing Member of the Year. The sensible thing to do would be to fake your own death when you're so sick and/or old that you know you don't have long left. That way, you actually get a chance to enjoy your own funeral, and then you can travel to the Bahamas or whatever to await death.

Well, there's not much they can do about it now. Shutting people up and pretending it doesn't exist would just do more harm than good at this point. It's like when The Sims 3 got leaked. I remember someone high up at Electronic Arts referred to it as an "extensive demo" (because you wouldn't be able to download user-created content with it), even though he was probably very annoyed about the leak. A lot of people who download an incomplete version of a game a couple of months before release like this are probably fans who are excited about the release of the game, so instead of treating them like criminals, it's better to say, "if you like this, wait until you try the full version!". I'm getting more and more excited about the release of Deus Ex 3, after recently replaying the first two games. Here's hoping they don't mess it up!

But then Pac-Man isn't a game, and neither is World of Warcraft. And something like Call of Duty would be one quarter game, three quarters toy. And what would need to be the condition for not including Super Mario Galaxy as a game? A good story? By that definition, gaming in the 80s and 90s was a wasteland. So yeah, the lines may be blurred from time to time, but come on. Super Mario Galaxy is objectively a game. You can't really hide between "oh, well, it's just my opinion", because it makes no sense. If I said "it's my opinion that the sky is green", you'd think I was an idiot. If Daft (or anyone else) wants to argue that Super Mario Galaxy doesn't appeal to them because they prefer games to have better stories (or whatever), then that's fair enough. Not every game can appeal to every person. But it is a game. Anyway, I almost forgot that this thread was supposed to be about Darksiders 2. I never got around to playing the first one. It seemed kind of okay, but when I watched my cousin play it for a couple of hours, it didn't really look that great. But that was really late in the game, so I don't know.

Fair enough if you prefer games to have good stories, but I don't see how a lack of a story makes Super Mario Galaxy any less of a game.

I hope this is just more of what made Blood Money so great, with some minor improvements here and there. Regarding Silent Assassin - was it just me, or was sneaking around way too hard in that game? Guards would start shooting at me within seconds no matter which disguise I was wearing. That completely ruined the game for me (and my brother hated it too), but everyone seems to love it, so I don't know if it was a bug or if I just sucked or what.
