Yvonne - YES PLEASE! I've only seen the remake... but yeah, I think that's great scenario for a mafia game

Dan, once again; lead by example :P

I'm a fan of the whole "love yourself before you love others" thing. Not just because you'll be honestly yourself but also because if you don't trust or know yourself then you'll be incapable of trusting or knowing another individual, let alone someone you want to actually spend time with. People put too much faith in being 'loved' without truly knowing what the emotion is. Yes, it's gratifying and meaningful, but it is not the be-all and end-all of life. You have to spend your entire life with you alone, and I think there is no excuse in saying that confidence is built merely upon how many/few people find you appealing. While you ought not be an idiot and think highly of yourself when, in actual fact, you're a dickhead, you should still put yourself first and believe in your own worth before you put yourself out for sale. If someone is going to invest in you as the person of their dreams then surely they don't want a whinging wreck who hates themslves. Simlarly, why should you be waiting for someone to call on you? I found love not just because I stopped 'chasing' or 'looking' but simply because I started being, started just enjoying myself and not caring if something happened or not. As it was, someone saw my easy-going nature and gave me a go. No intentions there at all. But if you focus so much of your life on "love" then you're going to miss out on life. Gain some perspective- stop watching tv for a few months and see how you feel. Jeez/

Now that I believe. Jinx! Will you get info on me too? Changevote: No lynch.

Well it's been a few years since we were long-distance so it's hard to be precise, but generally it would be a few texts during the day followed by a phonecall in the evening. It varied and was rocky at points because personally I don't like phone-calls, and often I'd be in a social situation and not be great on the phone. But whether it was text, phone or msn there was always a sense that my attention was a bit split, and I can understand that it can come accross as uncaring even if it's not intended. Looking back - yeah, it was very difficult, and hard to manage. Sometimes the contact felt forced, sometimes it felt like I wasn't communicating enough. As you say, it's easy to be misinterpreted with text, but also I think phonecalls are tricky as well as there's not really any external stimulus so it was... yeah. Hard. Of course, with long-distance relationships the time you spend together is that much more special - in itself this can be a danger, warping the actual relationship a little. So yeah. It's important to recognise that the distance itself can cause frustration, and important not to let it allay your actual relationship. Yeah. Very hard.

So who have you targetted so far?
-
I recommend a rule, Dan :P If you want something, you have to put something of equal value up for someone else!
-
This thread will've degenerated into a bunch of DO WANT lists and disappeared into page 34 by then, don't worry.

Your number will only be removed if it proves to be inactive over a period of at least 6 months, with 3 attempts made. No hard-and-fast rule. Plus once a company has bought your information from someone who claims your info matches their target audience, they are free to attempt to sell it on to other companies. Not answering the witheld is generally the best thing to do (you just gotta hope your info isn't passed around too much) for sure, but there's no guarantee it'll be the end of it. ... Yeah I work in a call centre. B2B! Previous customers only! ... So our number comes through as witheld. I'm amazed how many people answer the phone then whisper "i'm in a meeting!" -- just don't answer! Then again... my mum has her number 'witheld', so I can't tell if it's her calling or 3 mobile trying to convince me to get my friends and family to sign up too. I hate my job.

Are 'good garages' the ones that overlook a bunch of stuff?

There is no more win that that. That is all of the win. There is no more win ever again.

I found someone who has a pair of binoculars. First night someone had a notepad. I figure the binocular person would be someone who is able to see who targets their target. The notepad person is presumably an investigator. You can appreciate why I won't share their names. Remind me, as a therapist, how does your role work? (edit: to rectify; I found a penlid with notemaster 3000 on my first note, not a notepad)

Dan, you just made this thread to get free shit. YOU'RE NOT A REAL HIPPY!

Lol. Iranians are so funny. They were a bit half-hearted with the recent revolution-madness that hit the middle east a few months ago. Totally deserve to be rid of their nonsensical, ridiculous 'governers'

Definite nightmare stuff when I was a kid. Don't really have anything else to say.
-
Cube: surely you did just that by saying the word then the character? :P Vote: esequiel. it's all just too contrited.
-
Your phone company should be able to offer you the ability to block any inbound witheld number, too. Well worth pursuing.
-
Vote: Diageo. Still think the mask/watch thing has been unexplained. Nobody has come forward to say that my target was altered or that diageo was in any way. Cube's investigating is, even he admits, not altogether trustworthy. Unless anyone has any better leads I still think diageo's masks/watch and ell's roleblocking abilities are our best leads.

Shorty sent me a link containing this pic recently; Funnily enough I was considering growing an ironic tash...

Whatever happened to leading by example? I got books I'm willing to offload. I believe Daft/dan are interested in Consider Phlebas (lent Player of Games to a slow-reading friend). - Chuck Palahniuk - Haunted - Ian M. Banks - The Algebraist - Bill Bryson - The Life and Times of The Thunderbold Kid Those are the ones i have right in front of me that I know I'm done with. I tend to 'lend' people I know the books I want others to read. I have some pratchett books lying around (gave loads to a mate for his birthday). If interest picks up, I'll go through my books/games i'm willing to 'lend'/swap. Off for the weekend so I won't be able toget back to people for a few days (if anyone is interested, anyway) (And bagsy any Invincible lendings. Am willing to return when read!) P.S. for those who aren't a fan of well-read books, I'll say if any of mine aren't in near-new condition. Spines tend to be marked, because i prefer the feel of a used book.

Loooool! Fantastic result!

Has anyone told will' that Diemetrix is back to reclaim his Party Boy crown?

Save them the hassle, chat with colleagues to see if any will swap a shift with you to cover you. Team leaders like it when they don't actually have to do anything to solve a problem.
