The other day I was reading a column in the free booklet that you can pick up at Odeon cinemas that waxed lyrical about J. J. Abram's (is there a h in there somewhere?) movie/mini-series conversion of Stephen King's Dark Tower series which is, y'know, cool and stuff but just not something I didn't know. Well there's supposedly an eighth book that King himself confirmed in march this year (after rumours for two years). It's due to be released next year, likely to co-incide with the movie. The book will not allegedly extend the series, rather fill in a gap between books 4 and 5... Which is both a massive shame and a huge relief. Not sure the ending should ever be messed with.

'Shift focus' is such a weighted term. I know you're doing your thing where you cast doubt on everything that everone does, except it's kinda harsh when that's precisely what I'm doing. I was reminding us of what Ell had said because ReZ's "HEY U GUIZ I KILL HUR HUR" thing may've totally over-run ell's "hey! I have a role that's suspicious because it's kinda a negative role!" thing. I'm fairly happy that the 'shift in focus' means that ell has been 'seen' by a larger amount of players, thus; Vote: ReZ to dispel any "OMG JAYSEVEN MUST BE IN LEAGUE WITH REZ!!" rumours. It's harder to dispel the "OMG JAYSEVEN AND PEEPS MUST BE IN COHORTS FOR HAVING THE SAME LOGIC ON THE MATTER!" thing. Bleh.

The CD should really represent your interests as a whole, or run on a 'theme'. If it's a small roster then it'll be no massive hassle for all to send to everyone else. Otherwise we can just send 1/2/3 depending on what people reckon.

I mean with the US classification there's something like an option to not submit DVDs for classification and they get an x-rating straight away? I don't know if films can be outright banned or not (probably!).

They'll release a cut edition for the cinemas, and an extended 'WITH SCENES NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!!" edition. Neither will be the original 'director's cut', but we'll see that in 25 years when dweebs will buy it and claim it to be totally gnarly, dude (surf will be back in the 2030s). This is positive publicity, so I'm sure we'll still see it in some shame or form. (I don't know how the US market works regarding censorship though)
