  1. The quieter one is, the more likely is it that they have stuff to do in real life. My work means I get home half 5, and I want to catch up with forum/facebook so that's 30 mins at least, plus dinner... really I only have 3 hours to read stuff. On top of that I sometimes spend my evenings at my gf's or socialising (two-three times a week) and last weekend I was 250 miles away in Leeds with no access to a computer. Considering the youth of this game, it's fair to say that it's unfair to associate my lack of posting with some sort of suspicious behaviour. Staying quiet can also mean you get less involved with the reams of nonsense that pads these games these days. Sharing info with oneself is no guarentee that one is town, is it? And surely mafia players are likely to be more involved in a game thread, considering they are to be more alert to the townie's tide of thinking in order to succeed in their own aims? I'm just asking you to be objective, to realise that there is nothing whatsoever on me. It's so early in the game - play by probabilities. If, after this, suspicion is aroused enough for an investigator to target me, then they'll see i'm the townie I claim to be. Similarly, if the hypothesis you suggest is true and I'm mafia, then the next night I'd hesitate when it came to being nefarious, hence just by you signalling an interest, what is there to lose in trusting me and wating for investigators to have a go? Similarly, if you fail to respond to this logic, you and others who vote for me are adding suspicion to your own selves because surely only mafia will ignore anything I say and try to get a townie lynched? So yeah - essentially; I'm town. If you want more info then share yours. If you aren't willing to share yours then question why you're not willing, and consider why I'd not be willing (and don't stop when you get to "lol because ur maff lol"). So yeah. lynch me if you want because your feeling of stupidity afterwards will make me feel like a winner anyway.
  2. I've not watched the last loads, but if I get a free (bored) 30 mins this weekend I'll try and catch up.
  3. I found out taht mr-paul (formerly jimbob) is MI6. Just fyi, y'all.
  4. I have people voting for me who have provided no information themselves. I have done nothing wrong to be voted for, it's just someone's whim that others have quickly followed up on - quicker than my vote after mr-paul's, btw - which is suspicious in itself. If you lynch me then you'll have a shortlist of mafiosos, which is to the town's favour. So yeah - surely actually killing someone off only on day three should be done upon some logical basis. There is no logic in the current trivial pursuit on me. One should approach mafia games with an open mind rather than merely having a narrow focus to chase a 'suspect' with. When you say "giving no info is suspicious!" then you over look "giving info may mean they have no info!" When you say "you voted quickly!" you overlook "well a whole other bunch of people voted quickly too!" With the latter, and my innocence proven with a potential lynch, surely you'll have a whole bunch of "tehy must be mafia!" guys to further chase.
  5. I'm not involved in discussion half the time because I'm rather busy most of the time! I add when I can add. I don't get involved in the pages of interrogation because I've not got the spare 3 hours to sit and get involved that way. You can feel free to vote for me if you want. Just evaluate your evidence - town would be rather unwise to lynch someone whom they have no evidence that they aren't town, just because people before them voted so. Go ahead and investigate me tonite, y'know? Town kills me, town loses some safety.
  6. I'm going early because I'll be aiming to head off by dark, and I have this absurd normal sleep/wake pattern. Only an hour away or so. Oh and I'm not saying "LET'S GO DOWN AND DO FUN STUFF!!" I'm literally hoping someone wants to sit in the park and do nothing but chiiill/read a book/play chess/do nothing, is all. I expect things will kick off 11am-1pm
  7. The ending of the first Jackass movie is sooo going to happen.
  8. Because you're a legen (no d in legend!) I'm-a open this in a new tab and read it in the next couple of days when I've got 5 minutes to chill, and I'm sober enough to respectfully read it and kowtow appropriately afterwards
  9. url=http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24026 The wonders of 5-min cake! Still not tried it. Rather prefer 5-minute steak! Yeah not got a link for that one
  10. Skimmin' the thread because I'm in the mood. because I live in a world where I can walk into a shop and buy something plucked from a tree the other side of the world, where you can buy meals already cooked, where the average ingredient list seems to contain 30 things (of which there are at least I don't even know what they are), eating meat is fairly distant from the source. If I had to kill the animal to eat it I'd probably be vegetarian for a fair length of time (eggs and milk are like... yeah. Attainable. Eggs moreso, ofc) before the hunger gets to me, or I see a glint in my pet pig Mercutio's eyes that encourages me to do the deed. Fact is we don't have to do the nitty-gritty part of preparing meat so we tend not to think about it. A while ago, though, I was staring at a chicken wing that was resting in my fingers and I couldn't help but see the similarities between it and a babie's arm. Put me off chicken for a fair while. Getting bored. Essentially, if it was me vs. nature I'd kill it as often as I was emotionally able to. If it's me or the dog... then I'll eat the dog.
  11. Good to hear you're coming down bro I'm going to aim to be there fairly early - like 9am-10am to get some quality general chit-chat under way. I'll probably leave at some sort of sensible time because I can't be arsed to commit money to staying anywhere just yet.
  12. Welcome! Back! Sorry I was such a grammar nazi last time. Your post of near-abduction is something I can relate to. Or my inner child can. Or my child that I keep innerbasement. Hi!
  13. Can't we just get real drunk and pretend we know stuff about life? Maybe climb a tree.
  14. I've not given any info because I have none to give? Some very quick bandwagon jumpers there, I think.
  15. I've got a player who's 17-2 and, iirc, refuses to even be sold... Anyway - what a weird final game to finish the season - 0-0 with no chances for either team. my tactics were completely guessed correctly. I'm apprehensive about my change report. Never as good as I want it. next season = survival. That is all.
  16. Me ashley and paj with a bottle of gin? Weird orgy of weirdness. Make it so!
  17. Not a problem :) Sorry I can't address teh matter more efficiently.

  18. I've been addressing PMs so I've not had a look - but essentially we operate a warning system of chances and if he's earned one while I've looked elsewher ethen he'll get one. if he keeps earning them then that's that - gone, but it's important to maintain distance between what he says and what we feel our forum is about. It's all short term, in the long term :)

  19. haha :P ReZ actually thought my wall was broken :P

We'll infract individuals who overtly insult/flame, but that's not the case. Many forums have antagonists. Got to be fair and allow chances. Just be patient and consider whether it's worth battling people or just letting their comment sink into the abyss. Ignoring things on the internet tends to make them go away.

  20. TBF money-wise I've thrown out meat many times. Veg tends to survive the use-by-date pretty much all the time. I am vegetarian for breakfast and lunch and 20% of my dinners but I just can't fight the urge for bacon/burger every now and then :P But yes! You're right. Restaurants are quite good at catering for a spectrum of diets (except MSG. I went to an upmarket vietnamese/thai restaurant the other week and there was one dish out of 90 that didn't have MSG in), so if that's your bag then I don't see a problem with it I just want to make sure daft's doing it for the right reasons, not just that he wants the vegan (girl) friend's pants to get lost on his floor somewhere.
  21. Hey - didn't want to derail thread. Essentially everyone gets the same amount of chances - if it were allowed to just ban anyone that people didn't want to be around then modmins may start to abuse that power. Similarly, many members started out cocks and evolved, so it's only fair that chances are given.

  22. Stooooop feeediiiinnng theeee trooooooll. Guys. Seriously. Get wittier with it.
  23. So is this a continuation of the previous stuff or what? Was fairly... stagnant last time. Was it any good? Worth catching up on?
  24. When I discovered my MSG allergy I had to cut out what was, essentially, a whole load of crap. I think if people have to watch what they eat for one reason or another they're going to eat healthier due to being exposed to the ingredients on packaging and questioning exactly why they're eating such shite. I wrote several paragraphs then deleted them after this, to do with, essentially, the need for a philosophy to go with veganism, because ultimately there are things meat offers in abundance that are a hassle to try and upkeep elsewise. Also, realistically speaking, upkeeping iron or protein on a vegan diet will ultimately not save you many pennies. The choice you have in shops or restaurants becomes limited quickly, quick and easy food while out with friends or whatever becomes trickier and more of a bother... so if you don't have the philosophy to drive you then you'll question the point of it all. But yeah - I'll respect people who do it but I won't agree that it's the smartest thing to do. Vegetarianism is perfectly possible and stuff. Another mental block for this paragraph. I'll stop now.
  25. As the expert on the matter, I trust your opinion.
