  1. NIN are officially no more? sad times indeed HTDA do sound like NIN... until the vocals kick in :/ I mean I can see that she's trying to sound like Trent and she does a good job of it but it just feels so unnecessary? It's something he could have sung easily plus it may have worked better having the same video but with Trent's vocals coming out of the 'corpses' mouth. Just my opinion for what it's worth but let's not lie... we all know that HTDA will never reach the heights of success that NIN once did.
  2. I saw Heaven & Hell live at Sonisphere, they were exceptional... this is a sad day indeed.
  3. 1.8 hours? damn I used to 'own' at that game lol I'd get back into Steam if I didn't have so many games to play on the 360... >.>

  4. Yeah I've clearly got some catching up to do :p same with Daft Punk so when I saw all the aforementioned albums in the same place and going relatively cheap, I felt like I owed it to myself to get them and give each one the listening time that it deserves.
  5. I picked that up recently, along with a load of other CD's including another of her albums 'When The Pawn', Homework by Daft Punk, Ãgætis byrjun by Sigur Ros, The Corrs > Unplugged, Purple Rain by Prince and The Eraser by Thom Yorke. All on my 'to listen' pile atm along with some more recent albums released this year which I'm working my way through, which reminds me, Marina & the Diamonds debut album is lovely indeed, listened to it twice now and a good few songs have already started to grow on me.
  6. An EEVILphant never forgets... ... .. . *leaves thread*
  7. Happy Birthday GeeeeePeeeeeThirrrtyTwoooo! ^^
  8. 'And, Emily - I saw you last night by the river I dreamed you were skipping little stones across the surface of the water Frowning at the angle where they were lost, and slipped under forever, In a mud-cloud, mica-spangled, like the sky'd been breathing on a mirror'
  9. Cat Power... never really cared much for Athlete aside from one or two notable tracks.
  10. Nintendo... actually... listened? to me? What is the world coming to... But seriously, it's good to see that at least some of the things I listed did actually get changed for the better because they were things that not only myself but that others agreed needed changing so it's good that they've taken things on-board.
  11. They do... in the sequel too, it's all part of the story, Glass Solider doesn't quite have the same appeal to it tbh, Radiant Silvergun however is an epic example for a shooter name as is Ikaruga.
  12. The Hurt Locker A very telling story of how one mans addiction to war can cost so much to the people around him but at the same time shows that no great reward can come without great risks. Jeremy Renner does a fantastic job of 'being' a bomb disposal expert for the purpose of the film and it's genuinely thrilling/nail-biting to see how each situation turns out. Stunning from start to finish as it does what you expect it to but not necessarilly in the way that you might imagine and leaves you thinking afterward. 9/10 Avatar Through all the hype surrounding this you can't really blame anyone for having high expectations of James Camerons' latest epic, thankfully however I managed to lower my expectations of it before watching it on DVD thanks to reading many different opinions beforehand. After finally seeing it I'm left with a sense of part wonderment at the stunning world, species, people and language that was created in order to give the sense of 'realism' that it needed and part bafflement at how it's being hailed by many as 'the best film eva!' because it clearly isn't. Not to say that I wasn't genuinely stunned by the spectacle of it all because clearly a lot of work has gone into it but the story falls somewhat short for me, yes there are a couple of original elements but they are let down by the predictable way that everything plays out. Basically I enjoyed the ride, but in the end that's all it is and once it's over well... it's over and while I don't think it deserves all the hype it got it doesn't dissapoint either, it satisfies but nothing more. 8/10
  13. Same... apart from the tilt mine-cart level if they keep it in, I mean no-one can love that surely?
  14. Happy belated Birthday Grunchy! ^^
  15. You've allready answered your own question, phone them up and call it RROD and then just mention that the drive was going wrong before it red-ringed too, they'll fix both 'problems' and you won't have to pay them a penny, which tbh is exactly how it should be seeing as they can't make reliable hardware that doesn't frequently go wrong, plus it's MS... they can afford to fix peoples consoles for free.
  16. ^ heh that's class, quite a few seen already on that page but loads that I hadn't seen before too including this... and this one more... Lol... ok last one Ok, no more now, but seriously that page is a goldmine...

  18. ^ Haha I shamefully lol'd at that, it is awesome though, I imagine the cat saying... Cat: 'Feed meh! Human: 'No!' Cat: 'Fine...' *cat jumps up* ***TV To the face!*** Human: 'Argh!wtf?' Cat: 'What?' ***Human writhes in pain*** Cat: 'U giv me noms now?' ***Guitar lol***
  19. Annnnnd I've just finished the game - on Normal difficulty - and what an epic experience it was too so many brilliant moments coupled with excellent controls, vibrant visuals and superb sounds that all combine to create one of the most absorbing games ever created, in my opinion it's one of the single-most satisfying shooters I've ever had the pleasure of playing and would highly recommend it to anyone who's considering purchasing it. Oh and also... I was just having a look at the leaderboards out of curiosity and it would seem that at this moment in time I'm the only person within the UK and Ireland to have finished the game on Normal... at least out of those who have chosen to upload their scores anyway... just thought I'd share. *edit* actually scratch that... for the 'All stages' I'm 10th in the UK and Ireland because I didn't complete the game in one sitting - it resets your score when you save and quit - so that's why I have a low score for all but for whatever reason I'm the only person to have an individual high score for the final stage, still not bad though.
  20. This game is stunning, it doesn't just live up to expectations but it matches up to and even surpasses the original in certain areas from what little I've played so far, excellent stuff, but then... what else would one expect from Treasure?
  21. I just got this today, loving it allready a lot more than Street Fighter IV right from the word go - thank fuck they finally replaced the original 'IN-DE-STRUCTIBLE!' intro music lol - everything is presented a lot more clearly which makes a huge difference; it's also nice to have the full roster available from the very start even if it is initially a bit overwhelming... thirty-five characters! Just finished blitzing through on the easiest setting as Guile to get a feel for what's changed and am now watching the replay channel in the hope that I might pick up a few tips and tricks from mere observation; of course I realise that the best way to learn and become strong is to actually play so I'll be hitting up Trial Mode next so that I can properly get to grips with a couple of characters before attempting Arcade mode on Medium. On the subject of Fightpads, I've had one since SFIV and it hasn't let me down yet, although I'm tempted to buy a Fightstick someday I'll hold off for now and maybe review my situation in a week or two, I may then invest in one depending on how much I've played the game but I'll still keep an eye on prices until then, like Dyson if I see one for £30 or less then I'd definitely snap one up.
  22. New 'shoulder shirts' they're all the rage don't cha know?
  23. Happy Birthday Aimless! =^_^=
  24. Just finished listening to Year of the Black Rainbow by Coheed and Cambria... I like it a lot upon first listen but it will require a good deal more before I truly 'warm' to it... decent on the whole but I still prefer Good Apollo' I'm Burning Star IV' Volume One, From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness as it was the album that got me interested in them after first hearing them on Rock Band, I've since seen them live once which was well worthwhile. Anyway here's a track from their latest album for anyone interested... And one from the latter mentioned album...
  25. ^ That makes a lot of sense, imagaine how sweet it would have been to have Dreamcast games backwards compatible with the Xbox or even 360... the trouble is, releasing them on Xbox live arcade is more lucrative for Miscrosoft so I can understand them doing it this way, heck I don't case as long as more games get released like this with online modes intact where applicable. PSO Episode 1+2 on Xbox Live arcade? I wouldn't say no... with that said it may remain a dream but still it would be nice to have it re-released, updated, expanded and available to play for free online.
