Ever since discovering this... ...I can't stop listening to it. And I don't wish to either as it's blissful. I will get around to playing the games one day as well. : peace:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
S.C.G replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm glad to hear that you're getting a decent amount of enjoyment out of the game from your second run. Regarding earning Rupees... how many amiibo do you have to date? I have a feeling that it's around 80+ (I also have that many) isn't it? I don't know if it's just me but almost every day since the game came out, I've been scanning my amiibo figures in, nabbing all the items, cooking en-masse and then selling stuff like grilled meat (5X meat pieces) which each sell for 125 Rupees each or something like that as I ended up maxing out with 999 meat pieces ages ago. So I just do that, then set up by the fire at a stable, cook the meat while skipping the cooking scene and within minutes I've sold 100 - 200 pieces of meat for a few thousand rupees, I think the most I've had is around 64,000 rupees or something crazy like that but on average I usually have about 50,000 rupees after daily expenditure on diamonds etc from the ore shop in Tarrey Town which I only completed the quest to recently. I've still got plenty to do in this game, aside from scanning amiibo in I haven't been playing it that much recently due to playing loads of Neo Geo games and stuff for review but I have been getting more into it recently and I've easily clocked in over 120 hours at the expense of plenty of other games I've got waiting to be played, something about it just keeps me coming back, not even Mario Kart can keep me away from it. : peace: -
*sees the thread* "Oh the MK8 league is back! Cool, I'll just go ahead and sign up..." *reads the thread* "...or not, oh well I'm not that great at the game anyway plus the Wi-Fi and online hasn't been properly sorted out yet so there's bound to be problems" That was basically my thought process... :p But I completely understand, it's cool, Fridays will allow other players the chance to play who might not have been able to previously when the league was on a Thursday night plus it was just dumb luck on my part that I have that evening free. Plus I'm guessing it's an easier day for you - @The Mole - to organise it all, which is very good of you and appreciated by our forum community and that goes for anyone who has ever organised the league in the past as well; it's a great thing indeed. Ah well, it has been fun to have been a part of the league in years gone by and I wish everyone all the best with it going forward. I hope that it goes well, that it's fun for everyone and if you want the league to be promoted on site nearer the time then just give us a shout. : peace:

Did someone mention Shantae? *sigh* alright then, I know the drill. It's time to summon... @Grazza!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Has anyone on the forum managed to get all 900 Korok seeds? I feel like we need some kind of N-Europe themed Platinum Trophy perhaps in the shape of Hestu's Gift in the event of such an occasion. -
So... £49.99 RRP then.

Yooka - - Laylee 64-Bit Edition Better late than never. Larger size images can be made available on the forum if required. I took some pictures of the 64-Bit edition a while ago with the intention of putting them on site. This is the best I could do for now though, so at least you can see what the box and cartridge looks like. : peace:

Why not find out what the Switch Dock costs on its own, buy the Switch with the dock, then sell the dock on its own with the hdmi cable for slightly less than the set? That would give you the machine for around that price I'd imagine. Do you not think that the dock is something you'd use with the Switch though? I must admit that as nice as playing the games in portable mode is, when I go from undocked to docked and displaying on the big screen with Zelda, it's really nice to just take in all the extra details which really come to life on the TV at slightly higher resolution. I suppose if you wanted a cheaper option down the line, you could just buy a HDMI to USB C cable which I believe does the same thing, only without all that extra plastic, though I'm not sure about the charging though as the dock handles both of those things at the same time. Just a thought anyway. : peace:

Completed - 4 Played - 20 Total - 58 Capacity - 72 I'll probably fill the unit before I finish even a tenth of my collection. At least WipEout Omega Collection is something that I can jump right into, I've been wanting to play more of the series for ages but for some reason it just feels right on the PS4. : peace:

So on the Nintendo Store currently... Nintendo Switch Power Adapter £24.99 If they sold it sperately... Nintendo Branded HDMI Cable £9.99 (because that Nintendo tax) Therefore without those two items... Nintendo Switch Dock (solus) £14.99 Which would mean that the rrp of the Nintendo Switch dock set should be £49.99 Though they could really do themselves a favour by selling them for around £30 which would still prove profitable for them and would be better for the consumer.

Nice sleeve, but that wouldn't make it to PS4 Tower™ (picture coming soon) with it intact. Really nice future collectable packaging though. : peace:

n-europe Presents VC Weekly #402 Bomberman '94 Gradius Some classic Bomberman... ...plus another good version of Gradius. Check inside for the verdicts. Enjoy! : peace:

I bet you did... Of course I checked all the pictures you linked to, it wasn't lost on me that they were all of Mai. Accidentally... of course I believe you. They are really nice screenshots though, I only wish that I'd taken them myself, you know... accidentally. :p In all seriousness though, it is a really hard game, tougher than I remember it being the first time I played it on the Wii Virtual Console but it's still just as rewarding, if not even more so. : peace:

I like the Joy-Cons... ...but I adore the Pro Controller. What I do love though is your enthusiasm for them @nekunando and the way that they seem to be fitting in well with your gaming life for you and your wife. It's nice because you can just play any way you want to, the Pro Controller just feels right to me for every game so far but I play Zelda in portable mode a fair bit as well, especially when scanning in amiibo figures, Joy-Cons are certainly easier for that. Of course when ARMS is released, I'll certainly be getting more mileage out of them, I might even end up using the second coloured pair I've had sitting on my desk, attached to the charging grip for the past couple of months, I even have the mini wheel shells for Mario Kart which I've yet to even take out of the box... I think I just need more time to get used to them, one thing I really like is that they feel so much better in portable mode than the sliders on the 3DS ever were, plus I don't have to worry so much about breaking them like the one on my old 3DS XL which I totally destroyed over time thanks largely to Monster Hunter.

n-europe Presents VC Weekly #401 Castlevania: Dracula X Apologies for this poor imitation of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood being released again... ...even if it is portable. Just because you can take this game with you, doesn't mean you should. Hopefully TG-16 games on the Switch will be a reality so that people can play the best version of the game on the go. Check inside for the verdict. Enjoy! : peace:

I don't think it's the same as it was where you could upload directly to YouTube with the Wii U version, yet... it'll probably be updated when the online goes over to being subscription based. As for screenshots, are you using a Micro SD card? You can just put it in an adapter, read the files on your PC and just copy the screens you want and upload them from there... as for directly from the console, again not yet. Nintendo are missing a trick and I'm sure they know it, hopefully. I'm envisioning a cloud-based system being made available - using Lakitu as the character to promote it of course - where you can upload all your game saves, screenshots and videos with ease. Well, we can dream anyway. --------------------------- Has anyone beaten all of the Time Trial times set by the Nintendo staff yet? I'm working my way through them and I've got about halfway so far with all of my times uploaded. Oh and I tried out half the battle mode arenas last night as well, really fun, I can't wait to try them out online but I'm now thinking about getting that wired adapter... if only Nintendo would fix the Wi-Fi which apparently has been broken since the first update!

Looks like I'll be waiting for that potential physical release then.

Good... now just reprint Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for PS4/Xbox One between now and 2018, reprint Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition - if required - and this should put Darksiders III in a good position to sell well by the time it's released. As for me, I do actually own the first two games on the Xbox 360... they are still sealed as well - picked them up when they were cheap - I'll just keep them as potential collectable games for the future at this point. I've just ordered the re-releases for Xbox One, cost about £28 for the two from different places - first game ShopTo, second game Gameseek via eBay - so maybe I'll actually get around to playing them this time before the third game is released. To anyone else in the same situation, I'd get these titles now before they become rare or hard to find, I can see it happening. Because of what happened a few years ago(?) with the uncertain future of the franchise, I think that's why I perhaps didn't want to get invested but now I'm more than happy to. Now, if it was confirmed that we'd be getting all the games on the Switch, I would have considered waiting to get them all on there - Darksiders: Warmasted Edition is still coming out on Wii U afterall - but due to the uncertainty and me feeling that the game belongs more on an Xbox platform - to me - I'm now all in for all the games on Xbox One. I've got to get some multiformat titles for the console afterall, at this point my PS4 collection outnumbers my Xbox One collection at a ratio of 3:1 and even that's being kind by rounding down the number of Playstation titles. : peace:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
S.C.G replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Nope, I've been using a 200GB micro SD card since day one and while all of my game data installs etc are on the card, all of the saves are locked to the Switch console itself. I'm guessing, cloud storage and system transfer coming at a later date... -
In case anyone doesn't know, if you've registered your Mii as the owner of any amiibo figure then you can use the data stored on it to copy your Mii to your Nintendo Switch console.

It seems that must be Nintendo using that HD Rumble, that's just the sound that the motor makes whenever you pick up a coin, at first I was thinking "What the heck is that?!?" but after a race or two I've found that I quite like the sound.
-
Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me that goes through the GP grind on all speeds. Apparently people are finding ways to farm the coins by setting up two racers and letting them control themselves with auto settings, I think I'll just stick to the grind though as it's fun to notice all the differences with each course. Besides, I use a different character for each GP and try out all the kart parts as they get unlocked so it keeps things interesting. : peace:
-
As in you'll get a gold trophy and three stars symbol underneath all the cups on all previous cc ratings? I didn't realise it stacked to that degree, it hasn't always surely? If it has then I feel a bit dumb for always grinding through all the difficulties for every game. Oh well, more coins for the unlocks I suppose. : peace:
