It's definitely not an ideal situation, this has been happening for so long now that it seems to have become a perilous business model for Nintendo. First it was the amiibo, then the NES Classic, then the amiibo again, plus various Special Edition games and now the SNES Classic. With something like this that has such a monumental release attached to it, I would have hoped that there would be greater stock levels so that more people could finally get to play StarFox 2. But now that I've seen just how quickly the pre-orders have sold out, Nintendo could have had five times the amount of stock and I'm still not convinced that it would have been enough. I think for something like this, it's worth going through the trouble of trying to secure a pre-order, or even paying slightly over the odds before the price rockets even more, even though I don't like that idea but for some of the other hard to get items I can understand why it doesn't feel worth the hassle.

Thanks I had a feeling that might be the case so I've put it on the card for now. (it is going to be an expensive month) With that said though, after taking the money I really hope these places will deliver, it'd be annoying to say the least to have paid, then wait three months only to be refunded. Hopefully that's not the case though, I hope that everyone manages to get their pre-orders and that there's enough to go around one way or another.

It took no less than three hours - on and off - to secure a pre-order with Grainger Games who I'm not convinced will honour the pre-order either, so I've got one with them, one with GAME (who I don't trust but who knows?) and the one which I've paid over the odds with on eBay out of sheer panic... so that's the only really guaranteed one. I'll keep you posted though, if I end up with more than the one SNES mini I overpaid for and if I can help anyone out on here then I will but as I've said, I don't have much faith in Grainger or GAME but, desperate times. I'm glad to have definitely secured one though even if it is at extra cost as this is most certainly going to be featured on the site when it eventually releases. Though I do hope Nintendo can allocate some extra stock by then because as nice as it will be to write an article about such a neat little device, it won't be good if everyone who wanted one can't get one for a reasonable price.

I can't believe it, went away from the PC probably minutes after it went live. Oh well, it has cost me, yep I've gone straight for the eBay route, before the prices go up even more, I need one and at least this should mean I definitely have one secured as I don't trust that GAME pre-order one bit. Nintendo could have comfortably listed this for £89.99 as it would still have sold out.

Yeah, so there's always the other side to it where a demo can help the case of a game, especially if it's an unproven potential new franchise. But I can understand some of the larger companies not bothering, to be fair unless a demo comes out significantly before a games general release - say a month or two - I tend not to bother if it's a game I know I'll be buying, though it could still be useful for others who are unsure. The main demo's I tend to download are for games such as Monster Hunter where they provide a set amount of different pre-made characters with classes to try out in addition to having a few monsters to hunt, just to get a feel for the game. I feel like the latest Monster Hunter World could do well from having a similar demo, while things such as yearly update titles - shooters, sports etc - I can understand why it wouldn't be worth the effort, aside from the obligatory multiplayer beta things. For smaller arcade games though, there definitely is a case to be made for them, especially as you have a lot of Kickstarter games these days, the devs tend to periodically give out demo's so you can see how the game is progressing, again a different situatution but there is a place for demo's. If there was suddenly a demo from E3 such as Sonic Mania suddenly made available to play, right now, I would be on it like a shot.

Ah those were the days, plus when you downloaded the demo, you were effectively downloading the full game, then if you decided that you wanted to buy, it was just a case of buying the unlock and continuing to play as normal with no interruptions. It was a really good component of the service from what I remember, the only thing I won't miss is the download times on the games at the time, not so much of an issue then but back in the early days, a few hundred MB took what seemed like forever, now we live in an age where just an update can eat as much space as a GB or more. But yes, demo's should be a key component of any modern digital storefront for all games, as standard and I don't understand why it isn't unless it has just become more of a complicated process somehow.

Same here, though I'm not convinced they'll actually come through, in all the confusion I did end up with two in my basket, I took one out though just in case because I'm assuming it'll be one per customer anyway.

Yes, the Nintendo Switch Grey theme is pretty decent, I'm using it by default now as it's a lot easier on the eyes.

Oh my god I can't believe you just wished me happy birthday!

Happy Birthday Animal! -
I was barely there for a few races so it hardly seems worth it, thanks anyway though.

Endless communication errors. That's me done for the evening, I might have to give up participating in the league again before I've even started if this is what the online is like on a regular basis.

Sega games, from every console including the Saturn and Dreamcast, for free only on mobile? What a waste, if they can get Dreamcast games running on a damned mobile or tablet though, they can sure as hell get them running on the Switch. A lot of people would even pay money for such a service, so let's hope this is just the "entry level" offering of the newly rebanded Sega and that there's a lot more like this to come, for more technically capable platforms actually designed with classic games in mind. I don't want to sound too down on it, on the face of it this is a good thing but limiting it to just the large but fickle mobile user-base is wasted potential.

Yes, I too thought that I'd be breezing through most of the stages with relative ease... ...nope! :p I'm sticking to Veteran but I am using continues, I think that's the best way to just get used to the gameplay, I made good progress on my first run and then I ended up making silly mistakes thus ending my subsequent runs earlier. I may end up just trying the easier difficulties just so that I can make some progress but again I like to choose the highest possible difficulty, especially when I know there's a harder difficulty to unlock. We shall see, either way I'm going to keep putting a bit more practice into it as I feel like Nex Machina is well worth the time. : peace:

Nope, same one as ever. I was definitely online, just perhaps somewhat stealthily. I only got a little bit into the first stage last night - the heat was too much in the evening - but I'm keen to put in some more time with this wonderful game later on today as it's as enjoyable as it is punishing and I love it. : peace: I see you got yourself a nice number 7 on the leaderboard last night well played.

2 mins to midnight, it's almost time! :awesome:

How are you playing it alre... Oh yeah, time-zones. Less than fifteen minutes to go for me, get hyped!

I couldn't agree more... May the best highscore "Obliterator" win.

I was just waiting until the game is actually available to play, I've been checking it on the store every time I load up my PS4 ever since I pre-ordered it ages ago. :p *three weeks ago* "Is it ready yet?" *two weeks ago* "I could have sworn more time had passed than that" *a week ago* "Can't I just... play it now?" *two nights ago* "aww come on!" *last night* "this is ready to play now right? Oh... 23 hours and 16 mins..." So tonight, I'm going to be all over this as I love me some Housemarque. Well, I didn't really like Alienation that much but this looks so much better than that so all is well!

Easy Allies once again knocking it out of the park with their E3 videos! Best Carpet of E3! Who will be the E3 2017 winner? You'll have to watch it to find out, well worth watching. : peace:

I'm genuinely excited by this title, at first when it was announced I was thinking that this might be like one of those Monster Hunter Frontier titles but it seems that this really is the bold new direction for the series on the Playstation platform... Yes I know it's slated for Xbox One and PC as well but I think it's clear which platform most people will be gravitating towards with this. Of course I still want Monster Hunter Cross Generations to be released on the Switch over here - no way am I importing if there's no English text - but I'm ready for a brand new Monster Hunter game. The potential for this title is huge, there have already been concerns voiced that it might not sell so well on the Xbox One but I can only hope that on the PS4 at the very least, some newcomers to the series will give it a fair chance and I also hope that it's released at a decent enough time as well... Early 2018 then? How about the end of January... not that I'm impatient to go hunting of course. Given that the very nature of the map design is very open, the level of A.I. utilised by the monsters and the ever-changing situations which can escalate rather quickly meaning that you'll need to rely on your skills as a hunter; this is going to make for a very unique experience which with any luck will just further bolster the popularity of the series while simultaneously moving it forward in what it hopefully the right direction. : peace:

SorryNotSorry drahkon is right though, as long as you are happy on your own and can find happiness in what you do without depending on being in a relationship to justify your own happiness then it's not so bad. If you are unhappy on your own though stuwii then I don't know what to say other than I wish you all the best in finding someone for what it's worth. : peace: In fact... I wish that for everyone who's currently wanting to be in a relationship but currently isn't for whatever reason. As for me? I'm looking but not looking at the moment, I feel more of a strong sense of purpose alone than I ever did when in a relationship... so that's good, I guess? If I find someone again who is interested in me as a person and is wanting a relationship, then that's great but if not then, I have plenty of other things in my life to occupy my time with.

Well, it has been a crazy past few days. I think we're just about caught up now as I've been trying to collate all of the main E3 info. So here's a summary of the Nintendo Spotlight and all the main, major annoucements from the Nintendo Treehouse. There's a tonne of links in there which go to most of @Josh64's individually written articles, that's where all of the videos are. Just as well Nintendo didn't annouce anything else last minute, even though I would have loved them to have done so. : peace:
