Nope, I was also going to go for the Wii U version but I changed to physical PS4 version and am playing it right now. I do feel for you though, it wasn't exactly made clear at the time that the Switch version wasn't going to be coming out at the same time or that it would/wouldn't be physical... even though it was admitedly pretty unlikely. Most of my kickstarter stuff arrived today, though I must say that it was pretty poorly packed, no bubble wrap or anything, just came in an oversized version of one of those Amazon style wrap-around packets they use for DVD's etc, fortunately the contents were mostly unscathed but it was a bit underwhelming to find that it was all very loosley bundled in with little protection. Of course I will do a little feature or something on it, the 64-bit edition that is, when I decide to un-flat-pack the box, find an inner tray for it, put the cartridge and manual away in it, followed by incasing it in a sentinel N64 box protector before enshrining it in my N64 collection next to the holiest of Nintendo 64 titles. But yeah, most importantly the game is great from what I've played so far and I can see myself being very happy with it indeed. I'm just going to keep that boxed PC physical kickstarter exclusive version sealed I reckon, that along with the 64-bit edition is bound to go up in value over time. : peace:
  2. Bayonetta 1&2 Switch edition plus amiibo. AND Bayonetta re-release for other formats. Calling it now.

I saw the Easy Allies review last night - was going to post a link but forgot - but it still hasn't put me off, if anything I'm even more hyped for it now oddly. In a time where we have so many videogames and particularly within the past month or so where the bar has been raised repeatedly I think Yooka-Laylee will find its own comfortable niche as a diamond in the rough which will hopefully more than serve its target audience while filling a significant gap in the platformer genre. Not long to go now either way, well for most versions... obviously the Switch release will take a little while longer but I get the feeling that like the initial game release, it will be worth the wait for the fans at least. : peace: Everyone else can just wait for a price drop or not buy it I guess... Looking at the long game here though, I really expect brilliant things from Playtonic in the future, it feels good to support them and I can't wait to play their debut title in a few days.
  4. Mash the L button and hope that you have enough stamina.
  5. I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling a bit down lately Hero, I wish you all the best. Hopefully that lot of games will help cheer you up though, videogames have always been a good way for me to just escape for a while to a happier place, sometimes there's nothing better than just getting completely immersed in a digital landscape for a while. Also, looking at your haul picture has reminded me... I have almost all of those titles to play and then some, which is great but... the backlog. I must get around to posting a picture of my PS4 Tower™ soon, probably when I have some time off after Easter with any luck, hopefully I'll even play some of the games. : peace:
  6. Easy Allies * * * * * Review I think I'll be picking this up at a later date, when its been patched. Also when I have a bit more time for a game like this. Plus it'll likely be an Xbox One title for me. I own the original games on the 360. : peace:

  8. Sorry not sorry for the bump... Just thought I'd share the OST which has just been uploaded to a videogame music channel I've been listening to lately. Well worth a listen.

True, I still maintain that surely anyone who really enjoys Rare's past works and platformers in general will find more than enough enjoyment from Yooka-Laylee. If the technical issues really are that bad though then I really do hope that they are patched, everything else I've seen from the game so far looks pretty decent to me. Perhaps I'm just looking at it positively because I'm biased towards these kind of games, I don't know. I'm still looking forward to it though as I'm sure many of us are.

Fair enough, I just happened to notice that his is the lowest score for the game, that he has some pretty damning things to say about it and that plenty of other places seemed to give it a reasonable score. If that's his opinion though then fair enough but I'm going to take it with a very large pinch of salt as I think that the game will turn out to be decent. Interestingly the console versions seemed to score higher, perhaps the PC version has more bugs? I don't know, but it's interesting. Though I really hope that as you say, if more time is being taken on the Switch version which is to be released later then let's hope that any technical issues which can be ironed out by then are patched by default.

Come on though? He gave it a 2.0... Yes of course I respect that it's only a score, everyone has their own opinion so it is what it is but I don't seriously believe for one moment that this is a game worth hardly any merit at all. :p Locked in for the 64-bit version, buying it on every format, will get it on Switch when it comes out, roll on April 11th!
  12. I felt like that with the demo, I pre-ordered it nonetheless when I was last on my PS4... Does this mean it came out today? I've been a bit blinkered when it comes to my other consoles currently thanks to Zelda. :p Maybe I'll turn my PS4 on and give it a try today or tomorrow and will let you know. Love me some Parappa the Rapper, so... I gotta believe! (that the remaster is good)
  13. I'm sorry to hear that things haven't been going to well for you @Josh64 and Banjo as well. Also I'm very sorry for your loss @Raining_again poor Freddy... I can't even imagine how tough it must be right now for you and your other kitties but I really do wish you all the very best, I hope that Sparky gets better. It's nice to hear that people around you are rallying round, cats definitely have a sense for these things as well, I can remember when our older cat sadly passed away some time ago our younger cat was looking for him for a while, grieving in her own way but she'd always be around us more as well as she knew that we were missing him as well. You know where I am if you need to talk Hannah and Josh as well, if I'm not there at any time just give me a shout and I will be.
  14. n-europe Review Here it is, thank you to everyone for your contributions for the quotes section. Also thanks to @Nicktendo for giving his thoughts on the game as well. Cheers to all staff and forum members for your patience. Enjoy! : peace:
  15. I'm sorry to hear that Raining. That's not something a cat owner should have to go through, but you're right... if he's suffering and clearly going through too much pain then, well you know what's best, though I hate to even allude to it. It's such a tough thing to decide, my thoughts are with you and your cats, I really wish for the best though.
  16. I can't wait to play this... ...at some point, hopefully this year. :P Until then it will remain in place within the RPG section of the PS4 storage tower. Anyway, I hope everyone else enjoys playing it who has time for it. Persona is a series I will make time for, just not right at the moment. : peace:
  17. That's OK Warner Bros... You don't want my money, that's fine. I don't want to spend it on a publisher which tries to short-change a large proportion of its potential user-base. : peace: *cancels pre-order* Here's the reason I put in the box when cancelling my order with Shop-To... Pretty much says it all. :p
  18. Ouch... I wish you all the best Iun.
  19. Annnnd it has been funded! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1068694633/narita-boy-the-retro-futuristic-pixel-game/posts/1842161?ref=backer_project_update So many Kickstarter games coming to fruition within the space of a year or two, really great to have supported them where possible.
  20. Yeah, I'd advise anyone who has their Switch always in low power mode to at least turn it off over night - no point in having it consuming any power if you're not playing it for several hours, unless you're inbetween saves - as it does seem to reset a lot of things when you power down and then up again like this connection status. With that said, it was mentioned that these connection issues were likely introduced as a result of the day 1 update so, it would be good if Nintendo could patch in some more system stability pretty soon.
  21. Hmm, Nope, Nope and Nope! I can't really make any of those times, therefore there's probably no point in me downloading the testfire. :p Still, I hope everyone enjoys it who has a chance to though. : peace:
  22. So while I have bought the first game - at reasonable expense - in addition to the latest title, I'm unlikely to be investing myself in it any time soon. However, I did happen to notice that a channel on YouTube devoted entirely to uploading videogame OST's with regular uploads has just put this up... Really excellent stuff and it makes me excited for when I do get to delve into this universe which right now for me is so *NieR yet so far away. : peace: *Sorry... but this is a game series I will become invested in, some day... so I'll make for that terrible play on words by actually playing the games.
  23. No, however now that I know about it I'll certain be claiming it when I next go on my Xbox One. This reminds me, I have some dlc to claim by now as well because I bought the Season Pass but then other games came out. I'm keen to get back into this at some point soon though, it's a really fantastic game.
  24. Congratulations on becoming a Switch owner @MindFreak even if it is earlier than you anticipated, still what a surprise though. Oh and give my condolences to your master thesis. I'm sure you'll be fine, all you need do is moderate your play time on Zelda... good luck. :p Don't forget to let us know your Friend Code when you get the chance. : peace: Also, Happy Birthday just gone and welcome to the "30 and over club"
  25. That's a very good point! It really does show what a world of difference it must be for developers, for them to change over at this late stage must mean that moving things across and getting it running must be a lot simpler then having to contend with the Wii U's dated, more challenging architecture. I reckon they'll have something to show in an update within relatively little time at all with any luck.
