Well so far... Controller desync problem - no issues here Poor Wifi connections - down to the hardware, I only get one bar but it seems to be enough, I have yet to test online play though Straps getting stuck if put on the wrong joycon - this is more user error than anything else Docks stratching screens - very unfortunate issue, I opted to use a screen protector just to be safe, my dock doesn't seem to scratch much Dead pixels - lucky with this one, my screen is fine Completely ruined screens - the screen protector melting in some cases is an odd one, haven't had it happen myself But yes, overall I can see why this would amount to something of a launch "Snagging List" for the console. For some of it, let's see what future software updates might fix and for everything else, hopefully the hardware will be refined in time. I'm more than happy with my Switch at the moment though.

Surely there is no need to go to such lengths? If that's the way you really feel, then I respect that and I wish you all the very best but surely there's no need to request being deleted from the forum over this? People have differences of opinion, it seems the Switch has proved to be a divisive topic. (personally I really like the console just as I like my PS4 and Xbox One, all for different reasons) Can't we all just share our views, take on-board what each other has to say and move on... it felt like we were just reaching a much-needed turning point on this forum as well in a positive direction. : peace: Anyway, I just wanted to try and add some perspective, peace is all I want as well and to share experiences of gaming with everyone, be they good or bad times; we're still gamers through it all regardless of our genre or platform preferences.

That settles it, today I'm finally going to open all of the Zelda amiibo I picked up since late last year, so that's the 30th anniversary set and the Breath of the Wild set. (I want those items!) I've been meaning to for a while anyway, I shall take some pictures for an image gallery while I'm at it.

One good thing I noticed though for the Switch limited edition, instead of plastering that HUGE green rating sticker on the front of the game box, there's all the rating stuff on the big box and NO rating on the physical game box! A small thing to some maybe, but I appreciated it a lot and I figured you would too as I know that's one thing you dislike about Nintendo special editions and rightly so! Anyway, here's a quick comparison pic... I'm taking more Switch pics to go up on site soon hopefully but I thought I'd share this one as it's nice to see the difference between versions. : peace:

If that was your normal post that's just been and gone, it should come via seperate delivery van, just might not be out for delivery yet but I'd imagine it would be today... I really hope so.

So I got home from an eight hour shift at work today to find... ...no Switch delivery at all. ShopTo sent me an e-mail stating that there would be a Switch delivery delay meaning no console from them until Monday. As for Nintendo Store UK, they're just like... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hopefully my main Switch will be coming tomorrow, probably not in the morning though while I'm here, no you can bet it will likely be at a stupid time when no one is about to sign for it I bet. I'm really hoping NUK deliver tomorrow at a sensible time, at least then I'd have Zelda, the console and all the accessories while Super Bomberman R will likely be bundled with the ShopTo delivery. Othewise, no Switch this launch weekend for me. I did get the two Joy-Con straps, charging grip and AC power adapter which I ordered seperately though so... yay? Oh and Zelda Breath of the Wild for Wii U - got it for my brother mainly - which I'm sorely tempted to unseal and start playing now despite the fact that I should have the Switch version tomorrow. Nah... I think I'll just play a bit of Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS4 instead. : peace: Ah well, SOON!

No working tracking number on the website, tracking numbers for three different packages from The Hut Group in my e-mail saying that they have been delivered and one even has a signature, this was at around 8am or so... I'm hoping that it has just been delivered to Royal Mail or signed for by the van delivering it from the Post Office the next town over, this has happened before this way so hopefully all is well. Otherwise, it definitely hasn't been delivered here because no card and they always leave a card and not to leave anything with neighbours, plus we're in so if there had been an attempted delivery we would know about it. I'll just have to wait for now, the worst part of it.

I'm currently on "Awaiting Dispatch" but I'm not anticipating any problems, hopefully. Meanwhile on ShopTo... shipped!

I'd like to talk about review embargo's, but I'll have to wait until a later date.

Let me just check... ... ...no it's not Friday yet. Realistically I've got at least two shifts at work before I can even think about using the Switch assuming that it definitely turns up on Friday. And three shifts before I can dedicate almost an entire day to it, after that though it's all good.

I'm glad I didn't bother buying Lumo now, only found out about it a week or two ago, looks pretty nice for a low-key isometric-style rebirth adventure.

I got this today, put the disc in my PS4 with the intention of just installing the inevitable huge day 1 patch along with the game data so it would be ready for later, turns out the patch was only a few hundred megabytes for a change. So I went to install it, turns out the game was ready to go and proceeded to load so I thought it would be rude to not at least play the intro... ...two hours later. :p It's a really solid, open-world title which has a decent setup & backstory which shows you just enough as it teaches you the basics and then just lets you get to it even in the starting area, well to an extent... I noticed that if you go toward the boundary area of the map where there's nothing you do get a warning stating "if you don't turn back, your last save will be reloaded" so naturally I didn't feel like testing that much. Perhaps that limitation will go away upon getting further into the map, it's not a big deal just a slight immersion-killer but aside from that, the gameplay is fluid, nice level of detail - OG PS4 for life - :awesome: and the gathering aspect feels fine at this point oh plus Dynamic HUD is clearly the best option. When you hear Aloy talking to herself about certain things, reacting to situations etc it actually doesn't bother me as it makes sense in the context of the story - to me anyway - which I won't mention anything about but I just thought I'd belay any fears about this as if anything it just adds to the experience. You get to save at any available bonfire of which there are a reasonable amount scattered across even the opening area, so don't be afraid to get out there just so long as you're aware where your next save point is. Stealth is nicely implemented too incorporating the best of games which have similar mechanics, climbing feels more like Uncharted, combat clearly has depth just waiting to be exploited and there are plenty of skills to learn and secrets to find. I want to play more of it now but I'll resist until later, though I intend to play as much of it as I can before this week is out, I'm also playing on Very Hard difficulty... I haven't died yet in-game but it's early days so we'll see how that pans out. : peace:

I felt the need to echo this post as I finally ended up watching Dancer in the Dark for the first time last night, despite being a fan of Björk's music for a fair while, I just hadn't gotten around to it. It's such a beautiful and genuinely moving performance from her all the way through, to the bitter end which completely floored me. There's an excellent supporting cast in there as well, a genuinely thought-provoking story and some really nice set-pieces. I cannot recommend it enough.

Well, that wasn't bad for a short indie-focused Direct. I take it the European one won't be any different? No? Good. :p Some reasonably good stuff shown there, nothing mind-blowing but all relatively positive.

Seems my orders are just processing afterall, hype killed slightly. :p Thursday it is then!

A retail version of Sonic Mania on Switch would secure an instant purchase from me over the other platforms automatically.

Don't ruin the dream. It's OK, I know that this might be the case. :p But I can't help but hope.

ShopTo shipped! So that's my "backup" Switch which will now become my main console if it gets here first and has no defects plus Bomberman along with Zelda but the Wii U version because I ordered most of my stuff with the Nintendo store. Potentially though, tomorrow I could be playing Bomberman at least. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact I paid for it all in advance yesterday after finding out they'd be processing payment anyway? Either way this is excellent news.: peace:
