  1. I've finally seen this. It's a good film, but it is nowhere near being as good as it's hyped up to be. It's better than Quantum of Solace, mind. Plot was a bit...shit. It's not what you watch a Bond film for, but it's too much. I was a bit disappointed with Javier Bardem's character. Javier himself was excellent in the role, but the character was missing something. I was expecting more from him. That being said, the introduction sequence was great and I love the sequence where:
  2. We played shite in that last match. Couldn't play a strong line-up cos of the injuries, thankfully I have a fully fit squad now. Should make a massive difference. Bit unlucky I guess with the scoreline. We had a similar number of chances, but their strikeforce was better. Can't wait til they're older and wiser.
  3. Yeah, Suarez deserves it. He's taken an otherwise average Liverpool side into 7th place when they should be much lower. Definition of a one-man team.
  4. A great win. Shinji bagging 3 is a massive boost for both him and the team. The injuries he has had have slowed down his progress at the club, but this should help get him back on track. Happy with how he played.
  5. Happy Birthday, Goron. AADRIIIIAAAAANNNNN.
  6. It's so hard choosing one. Eternal Darkness is the obvious one for me, or it's at least up there. As much stick as it received, I'd have to put Twilight Princess up there, too. Perfect Dark, purely for all those multiplayer battles with the simulants.
  7. Super Metroid is a very good shout. Metroid Prime has to be up there, too. Personally, I'd say Super Mario Galaxy. It's one of my favourite games, but not my most favourite. If it's not the best game ever, it certainly is the best game of its genre/type.
  8. I'm too tired to exercise after work. Plus, I'm still pretty sore from back day. Early night for me.
  9. Well done to Mo for answering the question like a pro. Could have been a lot more awkward.
  10. Wigan away could be a tough one, too. Provided that they are in "survival" mode, as they usually are at that time of year. :p
  11. I was tempted to go for broke and play 4-3-3 or even 3-4-3 and just hope for the best. I would have been raped in midfield had I done this. Aside from Ernesto, the rest of the midfield would have been bullied. Good game. Looking forward to the return game.
  12. Haha, no way. I'm keeping him there for the hilarity. Why would you delete somebody who produces...ahem...gold, such as this?
  13. IT'S REYN TIME

    WHAT A BUNCH

    WHAT A BUNCH

    WHAT A BUNCH OF JOKERS

    ANYONE?!

  14. The voice work is hilarious, imo. Reyn makes this game. I have no idea why they gave him THAT particular voice, but it works. Every line makes me .
  15. Not really related to anything being discussed/not atheist stuff: I've got a person that I worked with a few years back still on my facebook. At the time, he seemed like a decent man. However, every post he makes on his wall is either a shared photo from a page called "Infidels of Britain" or something which just causes these expressions ----> Taken from his facebook: "I'm going to eat my bacon sandwich outside a mosque because I can in MY country hahaha" Swiftly followed by 9 likes and other comments underneath. Another one: "Just seen an advert for ramadan saying what they were going to do for charity, i've got a great idea stop claiming our benefits when you haven't contributed to the pot, bringing all your family here and culturally changing our country. Brilliant first step then start making your way to the nearest boat home!" His current shared photo is one that says "Fuck Islam and Fuck Mohammed." Ironically, when I knew him at work, he gave me the address for an amazing curry house. One of the best I ever had.
  16. Some games are great for just picking up and having a quick blast. ExciteTruck is pretty good for this. At the moment, I'm playing Tiberium Sun on Skirmish mode just for fun, not even bothering with the campaign. Brawl and Melee are ones that have good replay value. For longer games, if it's a Zelda for example, it's rarer for me to go back and play it again. Mainly because of time purposes. I haven't got much time to play 60-hour games, so I usually go for games which can be played in quick bursts.
  17. Unfortunately, if you're going to be a top 4 team, you have to deal with teams that will park the bus or won't attack you as often, therefore meaning you can't counter-attack/play counter-attacking football. Teams park the bus against the likes of United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal, so it's only fair that Spurs be judged in the same way, imo. (also, in fairness to Lyon, they were winning the tie, so they had every right to play that way). Also, I've seen Spurs play numerous times throughout the season and yes they do play good football in patches, but they looked more dangerous with Modric in the team than without him. They just don't look as dangerous to me. (although they were excellent in the two games against United) Ok, perhaps this is more to do with Levy than AVB. But, if AVB is the manager and doesn't want these type of players, what's stopping him from saying no. I think Gylfie would make a good sub or squad player, but I'm not sure if he is at the right team. Personally, I think he made an error going to Spurs, some players suit other clubs. Look at Pienaar, for example. Bentley, possibly. I never said Lloris was bad. I said he was quietly getting on with it, which is actually a compliment. I like him and think he was a great buy. The type of signing Arsenal should have made. Just to make it clear that I'm not shitting on Spurs or Bale, because it's not easy to get into that Top 4. But, I question whether they have played that much better under AVB than Redknapp. There are still glaring flaws in the team that haven't been addressed, gaps to fill. I still think they'll finish above Arsenal, and they'll finish above Chelsea because Rafa will make a mess of the resources at his disposal.
  18. Yes, I agree with you there, a lot of fans are impatient these days and want instant success. Players need to take responsibility when they play badly. Either by visibly putting more effort in or coming out and admitting it. But, there are times when the manager does get things wrong and they need to hold their hands up, too. Benitez made some really poor substitutions and generally played with the wrong tactics against City. He has to take a lot of the flack for that. Mark Hughes made a number of questionable buys in the transfer market when he was manager of QPR.
  19. We've played 3 games where our best player has been out injured. This game, we played without our best two, had to play a striker with all-round in midfield in order to compete there and have basically been blagging our way through. :p Gutted to get three 2-2 draws, though. At least one of those should have resulted in 3 points. Still, the DVs are excellent, (7 players above 10, 3 on 9) and I've only got one more game before both of my players are back. Would have liked a few more points, but it doesn't really make a difference.
  20. He's been a fan since birth, and he's not blinkered and is always willing to admit when things are not great. You don't have to sing a team's praises all the time to be a great fun. I'm always willing to admit when United do things wrong, which we have done on various occasions. AVB has a weaker squad, yes. But, he's also the same AVB who had a hand in bringing players like Clint and Gylfi to the club. I can't agree with you at all when I say the tactics have been great...there is almost no threat at all from Spurs through the middle and almost zero threat from Ade. At times, the midfielders have been slow getting the ball to the wider players. Scott Parker is out of his depth with his current performances. I watched the Europe League match the other night and you were extremely lucky to get a goal at the end...it was pretty dross. You've conceded around the same amount of goals as the other teams in the top four. None of the defences of the top 4 teams have been particularly good this season. I can't say it's a strong defence because I don't think anyone has been particularly strong in that top four this season. I think you just need to admit that Bale has been the reason why you are doing so well and are challenging for the top 4. Without Defoe's league goals and excluding Bale, Dempsey has 5 goals (not a striker) and Ade has 2. Where else would the goals have come from without Bale? It was inevitable that there would be a stage in the season where either one of the strikers goes off the boil or is injured (both happened) and either somebody had to be brought in or somebody had to step up to the plate. Bale has been immense and there's no shame in admitting that. But, if Spurs had invested in a striker who was helping out with the goals, you wouldn't have any of this one-man-team talk. As for Van Persie making us a one man team, there answer is hell fucking no. Reason being that for a long period of time, United have always been up there competing for the league, or for trophies. We were already competing before Van Persie came along. He has further improved us. We don't rely on him because without him, we still have the likes of Rooney and Hernandez to score goals. Plus, it would free up a team place to allow somebody like Nani and Kagawa to come in and play. Without Bale right now, who would score the goals?
  21. The "right" thing to do would be to own up and say that the first one arrived. Honestly though, nobody is going to give a fuck if you do that or don't. You'll be a hero for all of 10 seconds and then in a month's time something will happen with something else and you'll get screwed over. :p It's not a truly terrible thing. It's...pretty expensive for what it is. The way I see it, you've already invested so much in them and paid your dues, so this one can slide. I can't see anybody getting hurt over this and you're not causing distress to anyone.
  22. I'm not so sure that things are especially great under AVB. Yeah, he's done well coming in, but I can't really say that (from a neutral perspective) that Spurs seem to have hit another gear. The difference has been Bale. Lloris has come in and done ok, quietly getting on with the job. The rest of the defence doesn't seem too hot, in my opinion. The central midfield also looks a bit lacking, particularly Parker who is becoming/looks more and more limited with his football. Dembele has been hit and miss. Strikers have been hit and miss, with Defoe doing well and Ade being Ade. Bale has been the difference. I've got a Spurs supporting friend who has said pretty much the same thing. Neither of us are sold on AVB. I think you're a bit lucky to have a player like Bale at a time when Chelsea are imploding (Benitez is a fucking CLOWN), Arsenal are more concerned with their bank balance and Liverpool are rebuilding. Saying that, there are also many positives. 3rd in the league, and you can only play what's in front of you. Not Spurs' fault that teams like Chelsea are bottling it. I'd like to see Lennon do well, he's been good this season, obviously not on the same level as Bale but still good. If Spurs make it into the Champions League, or if they don't (either way), their priority must be to buy a striker and possibly another central midfielder. Cover for the wings would be useful.
  23. I don't do any form of specific abs exercise. If I hit the abs, it'll be through something else. A secondary effect. It's a waste of time really, you're much better off doing some cardio or yoga/something for flexibility, or just training other parts of your body. Deadlifted yesterday, feeling mighty sore today. First time doing it since being ill, so it's nice to do it again. Also hit the traps again yesterday, they are aching today. Feel too tired from work tonight to exercise, so will rest and either hit the legs or chest again tomorrow. Possibly legs. I've noticed that the backs of my legs/hamstrings are looking bigger than they have done before. I've definitely gained some mass there. It's noticeable wearing trousers for work, they're getting too tight around the legs. Downside of exercise is having to buy new clothes when your body changes.
  24. That's actually pretty cool, it looks fantastic on the 3DS. If we don't get another DKC on the 3DS after this, I'll be pissing blood everywhere. Also, Nintendo, if you can produce games that look this good on the handheld, why don't you?
