Nicely done Tellyn. WiiWare is brilliant. Actually, in my opinion it is one of the greatest features of the Wii at the moment. Like those beautiful Indie films that slip through the gaps playing on WiiWare is refreshing and fun. But once in a while I want to see Bruce Willis blowing some shit up. The small company effort on the Wii is brilliant. But I never complained it wasn't. The problem is the big companies. There is not one game I have wanted to buy from one the big companies since summer. Not one. And although the small games are great, that's just what they are; small. Once in a while I want a Fallout 3 of a Gears of War 2 or a Far Cry 2. Yeah they ain't that original, but they're fun as all hell. And if I get bored with that I can go to LiveArcade and buy a small game from there. The greatest thing Nintendo did this generation is make the Wii easily to develop for and easy to get games onto. Yet in doing that they forgot that the big companies have the money to be putting up HD games and 50 hour quests, and they want to. But that is just more possible on the 360 and PS3, so those games go there. So it's left to Nintendo and its second parties to push the Wii to its limits and give us the epicness. And in the past they have, with MP3, SMG and Z:TP. But more and more now they're appealing to their new audience with games that are fun but don't hold my attention for too long. And that's great. They're making loads of money, turning record profits. Go them. Just don't expect me to stick around. What's that? You're re-releasing the gamecube classics? Great, shame I already have them. And you know what, it's not the third parties fault either. In fact I cannot blame them anymore for the shit they often turn out on the Wii. It's expected with the kind of example Nintendo is setting. They're supposed to be the company of innovation this generation, yet animal crossing is the same game i've already played twice, Disaster has the mechanics of an N64 game, mario kart has made minimal progress. Where's the innovation? Where is the grand leap forward in gameplay? Where is my f**king swordfighting game? Nintendo has proven you can make a low cost game like WiiSports and sell millions (Japan where it is sold separately) and naturally 3rd parties follow suit. Where's my pokemon MMORPG?

My opinion has definitely changed for the worse. When this Christmas' big game is Animal Crossing, a game that makes a minimal amount of improvements of the last two, I start to wonder if anyone is putting the effort in on the console.

Good night last night, though Dan thought it would be funny to leave it till after I'd been chatting up this girl all evening that she was a fundamentalist Christian (i.e. no sex before marriage). That thanks to D_prodigy. Finishing this from the WiiMusic thread. 1. I'm not dismissing those newly shown titles, they just don't excite me yet. You're right we've just seen clips. Show me something I like and they'll be added to my list. Not unfair is it? 2. Other systems are producing solid games for this christmas. The publicity is irrelevant. 3. When did this get onto marketing. I'm not looking forward to these Wii titles because they don't exist yet. 4. My point about the Wiimote is that, yeah so an FPS CAN be better (though the majority still aren't) and yeah wii sports is fun but why is it that wiisports still shows of the wii possibilities better than anything else two years in. There are few games still that allow me to do things I couldn't do with a 360 controller just as easily. I'm just not satisfied. I honestly wish I was, I queued up at midnight to get this. I'm an old-school fanboy for Ninty. Where's the love?

Why? Why can't there be new stuff that's completely solid? i.e. 25 hours of gameplay and I keep coming back to it. I mean where is my 1:1 swordfighting game? Where is it? Don't give me that "it wouldn't work" shit. I've had this console for what 2 years now and nothing. Waggle this, waggle that. Yeah haha very fun. I thought if anyone could prove to me that the wiimote was more than a gimmick it would be Nintendo but the best we've had so far is still wii sports. Urgh.

If punch-out works then yeah. Nothing else there. Most not from Nintendo. Check the bit I highlighted up there ^ EDIT: You know what i'm looking at that list and there are 6 there I would consider. That's it. Crap I really am just realising how little there is I want. I'm just dissapointed. I liked the idea. They just didn't get it right. I'd love it if they came out with something new that was..well....better than the stuff I want on the 360. But they haven't. Not my fault.
