Nah, not really. It wasn't really near death, the rotten wood floor just collapsed a bit underneath me. There was enough structure there that I'd probably have just stuck my leg through the floor. I mainly stopped because I lost contact with the guy I went with and none of my other friends were interested.

Japan. Japan is happening.

I feel sorry for that Schmoafer fellow. Must have done something truly terrible to rile up the J-Man like that.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, although it definitely gets better as it goes on. The first episodes felt a bit meh, with it being a bit hard to believe that Hannah was ready to kill herself. She seemed more angsty teen than suicide risk. But fuck me if things didn't escalate towards the end. That final episode was hard to watch. I also really liked Tony. His mysterious motivations towards the beginning were intriguing and he always seemed like an honest, but flawed character. Plus dat Mustang.

I used to go exploring quite often, but I kind of lost contact with the guy I explored with, so I haven't been for ages. Now that I have the drone, I'm thinking of taking that to more derelict sites and seeing what I can record. Some of my previous trips: London Brick Company, Stewartby I have visited this site twice and will most likely go back again soon. It's a nice laid back explore (very little climbing involved!), with nice open areas and interesting buildings to look around. Video from my latest visit: And some photos from my first visit, many years ago: Took my Fallout bobblehead with me: Cardington Blimp Hangars This was an amazing trip. Obviously, we didn't go into the shed that is still in use, but we did get into the derelict shed. Not much variety inside, but it was hands-down the biggest room I have ever been in, and the holes in the roof combined with the blue netting made it look like a starry sky. Amazing stuff. My photos (they don't do the scale of the place justice at all): Water Eaton Grain Silo, Oxford This was my first ever explore and sadly, it has now been demolished. The view from the top was spectacular and it was such an intimidating building. Barrow Gurney Asylum, Bristol This was quite an easy explore, but had it's creepy moments. We had gone shortly after a storm, so we could hear constant dripping and wind through the various holes in the building. We also had a very weird moment. We were stood next to (about 6 feet) a door that looked like it was keeping people out of a restricted area, so we didn't bother looking inside. We turned away for about a second to decide where to go next and when we turned back, the door was open. Neither of us heard the door move, despite it being quite rickety and it being so close to us. The door was also completely still, even though it must have swung open. On the other side was a ladder leading down to the tunnels below. Suffice to say, we picked a direction and left pretty quick. Shipton Cement Works Another huge site, although it has now been completely demolished. Fairly laid back explore, with some interesting industrial machinery and buildings. It was also fairly close to a nice canalside pub, so bonus. Aylesbury Odeon Cinema Another one which is now demolished. This explore took a bit more planning, as it was in a fairly populated place. We got up nice and early, hopped a fence and got in through a basement window. Easy. The place was pretty terrifying, as it was completely pitch black inside, with the only light being our 2 torches, one of which was almost completely dead. There was also pigeon shit everywhere. St Crispin's Asylum, Northamptonshire Quite a nice explore, although not that great for finding interesting things. Plus, I almost fell through the floor in one of the upper levels. Good times.

Labour. Because as wishy-washy as I find Jeremy Corbyn, he's the only person I haven't seen resort to petty name-calling and childish tactics.

As Flink said, do it. I went straight from HoS to B&W and enjoyed B&W more. It definitely felt more "Witcherey" to me and felt like it had more memorable moments.

Why do think I put them all on the bed? I'll spare the details, but I will say Sega does what Nintendon't, if you know what I mean.

Legal advice: leaving job during redundancy period
Goafer replied to MoogleViper's topic in General Chit Chat
A friend of mine just quit and didn't work his notice period (or at least not all of it). There was some legal posturing over it (company owners sister is a lawyer), but ultimately nothing happened. Let's face it, most companies aren't going to bother getting legal over an employee that's leaving anyway. The only reason I can see the lawyers getting involved is if her leaving really fucks the company up. From my limited research into the matter when my friend left, it's also quite hard for companies to prove loss of earnings due to employee absense. I'd give your girlfriend the same advice I gave my friend: being sued for loss of earnings will inconvenience her in the short term, missing out on a great job will have a much longer term effect. I say go for it and just deal with whatever consequences the company throws your way. -
Decided to take stock of all my non-handheld consoles. 22 including duplicates. Not bad if I do say so myself. I had a minor freakout when I couldn't find my Dreamcast. Turns out I hadn't unpacked it when we moved house, even though I'm sure I had played it in the new house. It was also sat alongside my SNES, which I hadn't noticed was also missing.

Fingers crossed for Shenmue 3.

Well it's not like you have to bust out sick drifts or anything. You have like 2 options: forward or stop. I'm convinced that the trains are actually automated and the "driver" is just a boiler suit full of socks.

I'm so glad we bought our house when we did. We had a max budget of around £160,000 and we ended up getting our 3 bedroom house for £135,000. Out of curiosity, I had a look at house prices in the area today. 2 bedroom houses are all over £155,000 and the only 3 bedroom house for sale is £180,000. Admittedly, we fixed ours up a bit, but the one for sale at the moment isn't even that special from what I can tell (still has the nasty fireplace/electric fire).

I get a pay rise, but that's mainly because I'm changing jobs in the next 3 weeks. There's the potential to get a further rise after my trial 3 months and I may possibly end up being Design Manager depending on how well I do. My good news for today is that someone gave me a Mega Drive 2, which I didn't already have. It'll go with my Mega Drive 1 quite nicely. He also gave me some pretty decent games, including Rock 'n' Roll Racing, Aladdin and World of Illusion.

Haven't taken many new photos recently, but I have edited an old one in an 80's style:

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!
Goafer replied to Aneres11's topic in General Chit Chat
I'm loving the New Retro Wave Youtube channel at the minute. A new 80's style song every day. And other similar tracks: -
Ironic that a 2 decade old console makes a better dock than the current one. At least this one won't scratch the screen.

Delusions of grandeur are normal after a concussion, although from my experience, bosses rarely actually go to work.

From the article: At the risk of sounding like Ronnie*, you do when you own a PS4/XBone. Although I don't think it's necessarily right to blame Nintendo for it, I don't think you can blame developers for wanting to keep costs down either. I think Nintendo should have just had a standard cartridge size and a single price to avoid this sort of thing. *Pure bants

If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that only a Sith deals in absolutes. Thanks for keeping us safe Rummy. You only use one? You poor thing.
