Oh man, Andrew Garfield I have to go see this! And I liked the first anyway, even despite him being a big influence on the experience :p

Anyone get the PS+ games this month? I thought I'd love modnation, and whilst I spent a good few hours on it, it's just a bit too clunky and vague when it comes to designing your own tracks. Maybe I just need more time on it. I liked playing some of the top ranking tracks though, some great creative minds out there But even that is a bit annoying, having to individually download each new track online. I wish you could just like, download the top 10 or something. I'll dabble in Dynasty Warriors later, I haven't played it since my brother had one on PS2 but I just remember hating it back then :p

@Happenstance Arrow is amazing, series 1 at least. Oliver Queen is annoying as fuck but I like him all the same :p And I got Mighty Switch Force HD in the sale for my Wii U, about £3.00 I think. Today I found a MEGA BARGAIN in CEX, for just £3.50, I got my hands on this gem: And yes, I have unlocked the pug When you fall from a particularly high platform he even squeaks through the Wii Remote. Heart melted.

Saw this on Twitter today: Interesting fact - In the time the WiiU has been out, the Dreamcast had already sold 3 million more units. (WiiU has 5.4, DC had 8.3)

Yeah, I can't remember the loading times being that bad either. And oh man, if this IS the third exclusive game then that's really tragic. That was one of the few remaining titles coming to Wii U NOT by Nintendo. The Wii U really can't catch a break. 2014 should be the year of Waluigi, because thus far it's been terrible.

Compared to the music in Galaxy, 3D World wasn't quite as good... until this: Good lord, possibly the best VG music I've heard in the last 10 years.

Nintendo Investors Meeting ( now in english )
Josh64 replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I agree, there's loads of great stuff they could port to smartphoones. And I know they keep saying 'no Mario' but stuff such as Yoshi's Touch and Go would be the perfect fit, in fact, that game always feels as though it should have been on a smartphone. Anyway, whilst the health thing could be interesting, Nintendo really don't seem to have taken drastic action and just as I suspected, have decided to rely on Mario Kart when it comes to Wii U. I guessed it last week: Considering the position they're in right now, this is really not acceptable. And DS Virtual Console games? Are they have a fucking laugh? I'll just add that to the pile of empty promises, like no software droughts, N64/GBA VC games and Nintendo TVii. It's annoying because I really like the Wii U, but the steps they have taken, or lack of, is a complete piss take. And what's this about utilising the GamePad? Jesus christ, they should have been doing that from the start. The fact that (what I'm assuming to be) the top 3 titles this year, DK, Mario Kart and Smash, won't use the Pad in any way, makes me think this is yet another load of garbage... just like the DS VC. I dunno, maybe we'll see it in 3 years. -
For some season I'd got it in my head that this was today, I can't wait to hear what they have planned!

Shit has really hit the fan in regards to work, in a super bad way. But I'm with my friend this evening having wine and listening to G-Dragon, so I'll report back with the bad stuff later! Gonna have fun for now!

Me and Edson (Mexican boy) have pretty much fizzed out, I think. The last week or so trying to create conversation with him was always like pulling teeth, as he suddenly just started taking hours to reply with really short responses. So I've thought I won't keep flogging a dead horse, I'll wait and see if he contacts me instead, and if he doesn't then hey, it was a fun dream while it lasted :p My balls are in his court.

Is there actually going to be a Nintendo Direct or are people just guessing?

Nintendo and Online Gaming. What's The Deal?
Josh64 replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
For gods sake Reggie, I can't breathe! -
I don't get how people can be like that, I never ask for a lift unless I'm offered one first. I just think if I cba to learn to drive then I should figure out other ways to get myself around (which sadly usually ends up being a taxi but hey :P) I was gonna do another 'I hate work' post but honestly, whilst work is shit, I think it's more me than anything. I don't know if it's the time of year or what but I feel as though I've totally lost it. Like, I'm as fucked up as I was back in school. Any social situation now feels like such a fucking effort, so obviously being forced to go to work is going to make me hate the place. Last week, just the thought of going shopping was making me feel sick and I didn't bother. My social anxiety has always been niggling away in the background but I've always managed to keep it under control since (as I said) my school days but just lately it seems so much worse. I might go to the doctors but... I'm generally too anxious to go. How ironic? and yeah, I still don't use the word ironic correctly. I still manage to see and have fun with my friends which is what I keep reminding myself. So I've not fully gone back to my old ways. Back in the day I literally lost touch with everyone and didn't turn my phone of for 6 months. So as long as I don't do that (which I know I won't) then I should be able to get myself under control again. And back to the work thing, whilst my own fucked up state of mind doesn't help things, today really was a bad day. The shop has been doing pretty bad for months now. There's a guideline amount of money to use on waste, out of date stuff and the like, which is £50. To make it look like the shop wasn't doing too bad, the manager would only let us scan £40 of waste per week and then would keep the rest in a pile which would have to be scanned the next week. Obviously, over the months this has built up. We had a surprise visit from one of the higher ups and they were looking at EVERYTHING and managed to find this hidden MASS of waste products waiting to be scanned. He was fuming and said it all has to be scanned and wasted properly. The bill came to £1000, which is way more than the recommended weekly amount. So today we had the head of the company in (and this is one of the top 4 supermarkets I work for so it was a fairly big deal) and he was ripping everything to shreds. Saying how bad this, that and the other was. And also said that there's been lots of out of date complaints and everything must be fine by monday or we'll be in big trouble. So our manager was being an awful cunt of a person to everyone, including myself, and I got stuck doing damages for 4 hours. Managed to rack us up another £1,100 bill in the process! We have another 3 piles to get through so by the end of tomorrow our waste will be at about £5000. Obviously it's a bigger deal for the managers, it's just lame when I get treated like utter shit because of a problem they created in the first place. I break my back trying to get everything done for them and skip my break and they can't even spew out a half-hearted 'thanks' but instead a 'How much!?', then walking away. Go sit on a cactus.

@yesteryeargames I think a 3DS XL stylus would fit in your GamePad pretty fine! So you should hunt down some of those. On the top 10 selling Wii games - That shows more than anything just how much Nintendo need to mix things up. They've released new versions of some of the best selling, almost guaranteed success stories on Wii for the Wii U, and none have really had much of an impact at all.
-
I know it's not confirmed yet, but it may as well be Geez, man. I thought 2013 was a bad year for Nintendo, but in this month alone the Wii U has really been completely destroyed. It'll be interesting to see where we are next January. If this actually does get cancelled then I think it's actually worse than the Legends delay.
-
Oh my GOD! No, just a normal yellow one! I had no idea those even existed! It's... it's beautiful :'( I'll have to add it to the dream list, along with the Panasonic Q and that clear blue N64.
-
Oh man seriously, I had a yellow controller! If only we also got the yellow cartridges.
-
Creepy Castle was amazing! And if I remember correctly, also quite a compact level to the others. @Sméagol I meant I don't understand the general hate it gets, though reading it back I can see why it sounded directed at you :P I just meant I thought the £60 was fine considering the quality of the game. But yeah it sucks if you already had an expansion! Seems almost bizarre they wouldn't sell the game separately. I've seen a few yellow cartridges around but mine was grey, so maybe they released a copy without the expansion later on (though it's still stupid they wouldn't have done that at launch :P)

The lack of steady titles throughout 2013 was a huge blow, I think that (along with the obvious lack of advertising) was the main reason the Wii U failed. Look at LEGO City, that managed to sell an impressive 240k because it was released in March, Wii U owners were still clearly very interested in the system and wanted more games, but as time went by people stopped caring and sales dipped and it basically faded into obscurity. (sorry for the and and and, I'm tired :P) How can he let that happen? He should have made sure that things such as the Scribblenauts delay and Rayman multiplat situation didn't happen, even if he had to throw money around. Saying that, he shouldn't retire. He was the head of the company for the Wii and DS days, some of the most successful Nintendo systems (and systems in general) in history. I think people forget that. EDIT: I also think not being at E3 was a LOT more damaging than people think. Really sent out the wrong message IMO and led to a lack of hype for the reveal of Mario Kart/Smash. Imagine the audience reaction to the Mega Man reveal, instead it was just a very formal Iwata in a suit.

From the looks of things I need to get back in with the Vita crowd, I have no idea what's been released since Tearaway (which I still need to get) - ANYWAY
-
I'm honestly curious as to if anything will happen at all. I know stuff needs to happen but knowing Nintendo I can't help but think they'll just keep plodding on as they are and claim that "one game can change everything" until Mario Kart and Smash are out, at which point they'll find themselves in the same position this time next year and probably spout the same old "we're learinng, lol" shit that they usually do. It will be an endless cycle until they stumble upon another success, like the original Wii, or they just completely fade into obscurity and get blasted off to the Forest of Hope in their onions.
-
That phone idea would be a complete disaster, more so than the Wii u :p Nintendo wouldn't provide enough/frequent content and hell, we've seen it all before, phones are fine, handhelds are fine, but whenever you mix the two like the N-gage and that play station phone, it never takes off.
-
So just Rambi as the animal buddies? /sigh/ Though at this point I don't know why I expected anything more. At least it has David Wise I guess, and the video replays could be good it they're implemented right but we'll see.
