  1. You better get a 100% return, c'mon! Wasting money on a console you already have just to see what a new version looks like?! Just send it over to my place and it will be put to good use.
  2. OK, but the phrases 'personally', 'for me' and 'I think' are fairly easy to slot in. It was mainly this bit: Now I preferred my Cube likewise but overall the PS2 had a lot going for it and I must've missed out on a bunch of games for it after 'changing' systems a couple of years into the generation. I think that statement is a bit blunt and probably not just.
  3. I've got nothing against that but it's just posting opinion as fact gets up my nose.
  4. Seing as you're loaded, would you mind sending me your Slim? Because mine is broke, just like me.
  5. One of many daily arguments across the web in deciding the order of the trilogy in terms of quality... Pointless. As soon as everyone accepts that it's this: Prime>Echoes>Corruption, the better
  6. MKDS was awesome because of the retro feel they gave it, The 3D graphics were just about good enough to make it look awesome in an oldish sort of way. MK Wii is okay, just felt slightly wrong somehow. This I am still hesitant to say whether I like the look of it or not. I probably need to see the amount of options that they give you, because so far they haven't showed us a really outlandish F-Zero course and those sort of things need to be made possible. As I said, with so many levels that will be created and tested, you wonder if the karting will get boring or not. I'm not really too bothered about winning on some rubbish circular circuit that someone's knocked up in five minutes, like almost every other creator. The creation here is only half about making it look cool because you'll probably be concentrating and it'll be hard to notice the efforts of the designer. With LBP you can jump in and out and explore the levels freely, or be made to see everything within the levels and it just works.

I too, was baiting. You can't be an idiot because you are unable to judge sarcasm from text. You didn't judge it, so I win! You can't beat me at flaming, Flameboy.
  8. Well that whole post is heavily SCG opinion and I wouldn't really agree with much of it.
  9. I'll just give you my vital opinion. TTYD - insanely good. PM pretty cool but I played it after TTYD so it was basically a bit too familiar. Glad I played the GC game first really. As for the others in the series, I haven't played Mario RPG although that's supposed to be the best of the 'series' (I can't envisage that but I'll hold judgement). Neither have I played Superstar Saga, however I did play Partners in Time and that game sucked balls. I got to the last boss and got pissed off with it after messing up the timing once or twice, but basically the story was woeful and generally a lame experience. Not sure how this game could renew my perception because it looks very similar, maybe they've focused on refreshing it.
  10. This list didn't have to be made, simply. They changed their criteria for it as they went and ended up with a confusing arrangement. Let's face it, any order could have been decided on and people would've got pissed off needlessly. And Cube, what's so stressful about the PS2 coming above your namesake (if that's the right way to put it)? The PS2 was a hugely successful console and has brilliant games. I actually enjoyed my Cube more but that's mostly because I missed out on top PS2 stuff. There's a lot of factors that would determine the order in favour of the PS2, moreso than the GC.
  11. How do you know it's amazing if you're not watching it? I guess it can't be anything other than amazing because it's a PS3 exclusive. Although with Uncharted it's not a bad bet when you say that the videos are probably good.
  12. Oh c'mon they made this thread. This was little more than a news announcement, but then it served as a very funny reminder of how Choze is incompetent at arguing, incapable of accepting his errors and also his ability in showing the temerity to believe it in himself that he won the debate because he didn't resort to insults first, despite having jack shit for a case in favour of his own arguments. Look Choze, Daft had no other choice after your failures but to just state the obvious. I thought you had some brains but Jesus knows you don't. Utterly incredible, you manage to top yourself every time.

Not capable of judging cynical internet comments eh? You idiot.
  14. There's multiple things I don't like about the system but I think the XMB is one of it's best features. I hope it doesn't make custom themes standard, otherwise it will get to complicated, whereas atm it's pretty slick. I'm not bothered that much, I just think it looked better when it was set back a bit more.
  15. That's what I'm saying. When you're in game and you do it that way it loads the message list and takes a while. And don't say yours doesn't because you have a bigger HDD. It just needs to be quicker, one button press and BAM you're there. Only dumb people choose the profile method.

GRID... Nah, not as good as this game. This really is pretty fun. The most badass replays I've seen in a game, especially as you can do go into slo-motion with an analogue tilt. It's way better than Gran Turismo 5.
  17. They should make the messaging quicker. Like if you scroll onto someone's name instead having to press 3 buttons to get to the message you should be able to press square to go to the latest message. At the moment you press triangle, press X to get to the message list which usually loads when in-game, and then you have to select the message you want. Making it slightly more inconvenient, you have to repeat this process if you have more than 1 message from someone, because pressing circle puts you back to the friends list. Need to streamline the whole shebang. And get rid of the store stuff along with the big font & grey boxes. Make the comments visible when you aren't highlighting the ID, like with the games thing.
  18. Tbh, there aren't loads of great PSN games. There's maybe 5 very good games, quite a few decent ones that different people would appreciate and then there's a load of bad stuff. Top tier stuff would include things like Wipeout, Battlefield (that's it for me in terms of great games although if Flower's your thing then that would probably make it in there too. I think Stardust would come under this almost. Then there's the stuff like Worms, Fat Princess, Crash Commando and the PixelJunk series which you may want to buy if you have spare cash and the titles appeal to you. My problem with FP is that it looks like it should be a fun, quirky game when really the only thing that's good about it is the charming visuals. Otherwise, playing the game feels chore-like and when I sat there wanting to enjoy it I realised that it really wasn't all that. I shouldn't have had to look for stuff I liked within it and it just seemed to me that all the reviews were high because of the buzz it had. The art style is the reason it did well because it covered up the flaws and repetitiveness when it came to review time. This sums it up well:
  19. I'm going to round off my opinion on Crash Commando. I know a couple of people here have it, but for £3.99 you can't go wrong. It's really addictive, has a ton of different weapons and is generally brilliant when playing online. One of those games where you have to talk about your own experiences really. Yesterday I thought I possessed some god-like skill when I placed two mines and picked up the chain gun power up. Two people jumped into the mines, and then a few seconds later I was surrounded by five people. I jumped up and in a precise circular motion picked off each enemy for a masive multi-kill combo. The weapon eats through people but dang it felt good. The game gives you a great sense of freedom with the jetpack, it recharges really quickly and you're basically flying 80% of the time which makes for great aerial battles. The powerups are pretty neat and the gun turret that allows you to shoot FPS style at people on the other plane of the map is a stroke of genius. Plus you can usually see the opponents fighting in the background so it's not like you're wondering around the map with no clue as to where your next potential victim is. Cons: online is a bit iffy, hard to connect a lot of the time, but when you do it's usually lag-free. Edit: Tekken 6 is looking pretty awesome, videos below: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/748466/tekken-next/videos/tekken6_trl_battle_090409.html http://uk.ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/748466/tekken-next/videos/tekken6_trl_campaign_090409.html
  20. I do like Stardust but I wouldn't say it was an essential purchase. Saying that, isn't it only £2 now? In that case I don't see why not, it can be addictive and the 10X multiplier trophy is a great big carrot that will tease you as you get a bit better with each try. Flower... I can't comment, it's probably great, but I'm unaware if I'm missing out on it or not. You could say I am but it'll take a lot or persuading. Quite a pricey title (or good value).
  21. Yeah well the only cinema I go to is the Empire one, as I said I was pleasantly surprised with how good it looked when showing Angel and Demons.
  22. Pulp Fiction I can't really give it a rating. I enjoyed some parts, found others overly violent, and wasn't sure what to make of the amount of times that the word 'fuck' was used. Flash-backs easily confuse me so I didn't get the whole picture. Good performances in general though.
  23. Personally I'd take Wipeout HD over Fat Princess any day of the week, I'm not the greatest FP fan and I think it was way overhyped. Plus there's better games out there than Infamous, but still it's pretty decent so I won't advise against it. As for PSN, do what you want. I doubt whatever you decide on as an ID now will be taken by the time you pick up your PS3 but it's up to you really. It's pretty simple on the system once your online is set up.
  24. I was pleasantly surprised by the high picture quality of recent movies at the cinema. Angels and Demons, thought not a great film, looked sublime, as did State of Play which may deserve a blu-ray buyage. When the screen is that big and awesome, why complain?
  25. Exactly Daft! I was going to say epic as well but... Reception probably wasn't going to be great. Oh, and I think that trailer is downloadable from the Gamescom videos on the Store. Yeah it does look pretty cool. Funny knock at the Natal; 'Gone are the days where you just stand and wave your arms around'. Although maybe it's explaining the Eyetoy shortcomings.
