I've used the iPlayer on the PS3 before now, fairly often too, and the quality has remained the same I think. Looks better in full screen, I think you get a better resolution somehow. Don't know why they made the friends thing grey, looks pretty shit. They should let you change the colour at least. I'm gonna check for new avatars. Edit: oh, just read Daft's info, no new avs. Fo Shame.

Hang on, won't this mean potential shortcuts if you can do the double bomb jump and then the remote flick? Not that Nintendo are that stupid, I'm guessing you can't flick at a certain height.

Shouldn't they have done a special ed like they've done with the Prime 'Trilogy'. So all 3 games bundled into one package, even if in this one it wasn't on one disc? Missed a trick no? Anyway I may/may not pick this up, I'm not really desperate to see what GoW is like. Depends on pricing.

Yeah but others have had the same error online (same code) and there isn't a simple fix other than waiting for an undeterminable period of time. How stupid, just managed to connect but no, 20 seconds later bang! Can't get back on. As of the last 10 minutes it's been pretty stable, touch wood. Dang annoying though, so many things with electronics that go wrong. Final edit for this post: It keeps changing it's mind, one minute it lets me on, the next it's off. Anyway, a friend decided to share Crash Commando with me today, he bought it cause it's half price at £3.99, so if you're thinking of getting it then do so now. It's downloading pretty quick, just a shame I won't be able to get on it :/ Hopefully the next firmware will sort it out.

It's not a DNS thing. Connection is fine, but when I try to sign in/do a connection test it just fails because the PSN times out, so haven't been able to get online for an hour. I just did the thing you suggested, no effect...

This is annoying me now. PSN constantly timing out, and there's loads of people that complain about it on forums I've found by googling. There's nothing wrong on my part, so I don't have a clue. What's the thing people here tried when theirs went wrong? Or was that a different issue.

The only worry is it might have too simple a combat system, like Fat Princess. But they must know what they're doing, they wouldn't make a 30 hour campaign and just make it a case of mashing square.

Flameboy, I think Fat Princess was just a bit of a letdown after 1 or 2 hours of play. There is a lot of repetition, a lot of square mashing, and generally gets boring after a short while. I get the impression people will rain down on me for saying it but no-one's really played it a whole lot and the fancy visuals just don't save it. Daft - I'm not sure but it should be around then seeing as all Slims come shipped with it, I think. My PSN isn't working now, it times out... They adding it now? I was just lobbed offline.

Well Flameboy there aren't always flashing names, every now and then a few appear to glow.

Some time after midnight. Not sure when. And have you never seen the friends names flash? It's not that noticeable, and it stops when you flick on and off their name. Strange, not sure exactly what it shows. Happens to both online and offline people too I think.

I know that my PS3 didn't take that long to load the KZ2 campaign. As you said yourself there's no facts yet, just varying tests. Oh and can anyone tell me the reason that occasionally friends on the PS3 friend list flash (as in the font glows)?

Well I don't point out everything in this thread that I don't want to talk about. In this case it seemed like Choze was going to get into an argument and everything was going to balloon. And don't be silly, you won't buy a certain model of PS3 because of the loading times, that's not going to factor in a decision when, as I said, it's so marginal. Maybe you're just fastidious, or you worry for those that are.

Well I'd say it is trivial, because the differences are so marginal that in the end you won't buy one over the other because of loading speed. Talking about a demo is quite a normal thing to do and has more worth than getting worked up over some hardware differences that are hard to test accurately at this point.

Played the Fear 2 demo, wasn't a fan of the first demo but this second one was quite good, I liked the satisfaction factor from taking down some of the enemies. Movement/controls kinda clunky but something that I got used to throughout. Quite an actiony sort of thing and is worth a rent, moreso than WET anyway. Played the plane-piloting thing and it was kind of like Red Baron, yet somehow with worse controls. Was terrible, you may as well get Google Maps on your PC monitor and glide a paper plane over it. That would be more fun and would look more believable than this game.

Was thinking about asking you for a game this instant actually but you signed out 0 minutes ago. And then there's the patch that will take ages because Virgin likes to laugh at our slow download rate of 1 megabyte every half hour.
