Flame, you'll have to either play for 20 minutes before 8 when you get back or wait til midnight to play then. Not the best server times really. Btw you can all switch to SVER, I'll stay with Valor. I doubt I'll get the final thing anyway, unless it scores very well.

I think it looks OK. The whole light changing colour thing is a gimmick but I'm interested to hear more about the games it'll be used for.
-
That's a very good point. To this day his mansion game has eluded me.

Even though that won't happen Skunk, I really hope it doesn't anytime soon. 3 consoles means there is this sort of culture on the nets and poking fun is good. Plus it's more competitive when there are 3 seperate companies, quality of games wouldn't have been as good otherwise, I don't think.

Lol. I could tell you what Luigi would do if he got a beta code - he'd note down the code from the email, delete the email, and then he'd stumble and drop the note into a drain, splitting his head open in the process.

You're basically a mad GT fan that wouldn't accept if a version you've been hyping up for so long was bad. 800* cars, 45 tracks an amazing developer, it's GT! That must mean that it's better than NFS! No. You are actually saying that simulators are always better than arcadey racers, when really this NFS is kind of like a middle ground. You say yourself that you love ridge racer and this draws many elements from it unless I'm mistaken (maybe vise versa). Just because it's 3rd party doesn't mean it's inferior...

I was thinking that but stupidly thought for some reason that they'd have shoddy shotgun weapons etc. Basically I just chose Mario in Mario Sports titles. You can't really go wrong with that choice.
-
As soon as I saw that I thought 'No Fifa on PS3'. This sort of thing you never really think about, you sort of take EA games for granted on all systems, they've always been floating around. For them to be abailable on M$ systems... That would be annoying. Then there's stuff like Dead Space and the occasional good game they make that we'd miss. Not that I've played Dead Space other than the demo.

I'm sad like this, got to level 5 as Valor and didn't want to lose data etc so I never bothered with the other factions. Was tempted with Raven but they looked like a team that smug wankers would choose so I didn't join. ("Why didn't you then har?!") Flameboy it basically affects appearance, types of weapons and a couple of other minor factors (speed maybe?).

I thought he meant going back in terms of a generation in hardware (PS3 back to PSP). But you could be right, he may not like prequels.

I remember from a while back when I played Prime that using the Plasma missile-beam combo worked a charm when all the smaller pirates came along. You just creamed through those martyrs quickly so that you could get on with hitting Omega's weak spot. I think that's what happens, but I may have very bad memory * watches video.

I'm saying Zelda is a big hitter... Stop trying to act like the mature judge figure, I'm saying that because I think Daz only plays the big adventure stuff the Wii offers rather than getting stuck in with these sorts of games on other consoles.
-
I can't say much for Obilvion because I've barely played it, but the whole retro, dank feel of Fallout along with the feeling of something epic, it just clicked with me. A masterpiece of a game if there ever was one. VATS never got old either.

^ That's pretty dumb. They should just do it like top-up receipts or gift cards.

Maybe I like more longevity in my games than you Daz. You are more the person to want an instant buzz once you've loaded the game in rather than sit there getting down to the knitty gritty. Tell me if that's not the case, but let's just say we're very different. I think in a way you're limiting yourself by buying more games if anything, only delving onto them if it's a big hitter like a Zelda or whatever. I think you need to give MGS4 an actual chance, even Fallout 3 maybe. Very few people complete Fallout 3 and don't find it awesome. Probably my favourite game this gen in fact.
-
No it's just when you posted in the Wii GD and people asked about the other systems you didn't really seem to help or try to show them why it's a good alternative or whatever. I don't mind if you enjoy your Wii, if you enjoy it then fair enough, I'm wrong if I said that you're lying, but I'll say it again - 70-80 Wii games... Instead of piling up all that, why don't you try completing MGS4 or one of the more expansive titles instead of playing an hour, realising you haven't completed it and then going back to your massive lump of games for the Wii. If you're more selective you'd be able to spend time on the stuff that deserves a bit more than a once-in once-out treatment. I will have to get out of the habit of bashing Mario Galaxy et al, but you're lying when you say I always come in here. I usually do it sparingly, and it's not always negative i.e Trilogy, Brawl, TP.
-
I mostly posted that because of your lack depth in trying to show everyone in the Wii GD thread what the PS3 is doing as of now. I can't comprehend that if you've enjoyed those games you haven't bought more for the PS3. You claim you hardly play it yet have 70-80 games for the Wii. No system this gen even has 30 games worth buying, yet you've scoffed down all you can get on Nintendo's system because it's Nintendo. And those analogies for the games: Can't get into it/don't have the time for/or you've bought the inferior version. Just ignorant really. Why buy the games or the system if you can't appreciate that sort of stuff? Maybe if you stopped using all that cash and were more selective your gaming experiences would be better and less clogged up with unneccessary stuff. It's just so that you can say you have the system before discarding it to the corner to play more party and lightgun games on the Wii. Or the 1st party Mario/zelda/metroid efforts that on the wii have been sub-par over previous iterations. (Well Galaxy maybe not, but I'm only saying that because everyone claimed it was the next Jahova when really it was just very good.)

Unfortunately I play on games for fun Daz, and obviously it's easy to look past shit graphics (in most cases anyway) but why not have them along with awesome games? I'll leave you doubters with this holy grail list which I think trounces almost every game in your library Daz. Not saying I'd buy all of them but there's no lack of variety and I can't help but think that if these were on the Wii rather than the PS3 you'd be looking forward to them more. As it is you neglect the console and don't bother doing your research.
-
That's what I felt when I was playing through inFAMOUS but it doesn't ever really reach a high part or a really big quality section. That's why I didn't think it was special, the game never came to anything. And I was so looking forward to it before release. And just to get you all exasperated a little more, I have still have no idea what I need to do for the new HDD.

It seems OK. Doesn't blow my mind because I can't really tell how many people actually are playing or where they would be on the map. Plus I don't have a clue what's going on for the most part. The shooting works decently, I'm just struggling to embrace it really. It doesn't feel cohesive or smooth, now you'll blame that on being a beta Choze but I'm not sure some of the negatives are fixable. Maybe 256 players is too many. Plus no live leaderboard I don't think?
-
The temerity! It's not like I wanted to play the game, all I did was sneak into a beta signup that only lasted an hour or 2.

OK, so if I find enough space on one of my computers (30gb roughly?) I plug in the 250gb with the backed up stuff, put it on the pc. Then I swap HDDs over, plug in the 40gb external HDD and upload the computer stuff onto that and then I plug the 40gb externalised into the ps3 and restore it? If so then I'm glad that's cleared up.

So should I follow the advice in that link I posted? Because I think that's what he suggested, backing it up, putting on PC and then transferring again... Fookin complicated. Are you all saying that atm the data on the 250GB is useless because it won't be recognised or used if I just bung it in the system? Seems weird, seeing as you're basically uploading the same stuff onto again but just from a different HDD.

I swear Cooky said I didn't need to do that. Is there a way I can load the data from the 250gb onto my computer, then when I swap the harddrive i put the computer data onto the 40gb and then upload?
