Yus - I don't think it's quite the best AC game but Aveliene is the most interesting & likeable AC protagonist by a good few miles.

I'd just like to take a moment to apologise to all the customers who's lives are so empty & pointless they need to harrang & threaten me at work in order to feel like they have some control & self-worth. I would like to invite all of them to approach me outside of work so I can demonstrate their personal value to the universe by inserting my fist into their oesophagus.

Sorry, lady assassins or no sale.

Savour it while you can, if battery development carries on at the current pace everything from F1 down will be all-electric in 20 years. Incidentally I looked up the specs for the most recent Le Mans winner for comparison's sale - It was an Audi with a 3.2ltr V6 hybrid diesel with a 58ltr tank.

Xpert 11 Season 30: The End of History, The Era of One Champion

Hell yeah. -
That's a bold statement but I definitely agree Alonso is looking less and less happy there. Some were saying there'll be conflict between him & Kimi but I continue to assume any conflict will be between management and drivers.

What I mean is if the appeal fails he gets 2nd and trumps Lewis' 3rd place at his first F1 race.
-
If it stands I think that makes KM's F1 debut the most successful on record, unless I'm very much mistaken?

Not an out-and-out classic but an incredibly interesting and important one. Riccardio has finally arrived and Kevin was on at least on par with Lewis' incredible debut seven years ago. Delighted that Williams are back in the pack. Gutted for Lewis, sometimes it seems like if he didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any but it does show how up in the air the reliability issue is. Gutted also for Massa & Kamui piling out as well, I really hope both can look forward to a better year. Looks like it might be a few races before the championship picture starts to emerge.

Moments in Gaming That Have Blown You Away

Maybe stretching the spirit of the term "mind blowing" here but I maintain it applies in it's application of "jaw dropping"- Diving off the Gerudo Falls bridge in Ocarina of Time. When the full & true identity of the mysterious Marth figure in Fire Emblem: Awakening is revealed. The nuclear moment in CoD 4: Modern Warfare. That time in Battlefield 2 I shot down an Apache helicopter flying at full speed with an unguided AT missile to it's broadside. The the forty-odd minute tutorial to Eve Online. Finally getting something into orbit in Kerbal Space Program. "Would you kindly... Would you kindly... Would you kindly... Would you kindly step into Mr Ryan's Office and kill that son of a bitch." - Bioshock -
I've been meaning to catch up with the first Dark Souls for a while but is there any argument for just jumping straight to this? Keep in mind, I'm only ever going to play one or the other.

Moments in Gaming That Have Blown You Away

Lets see - The opening launch sequence in Starwing "They're all too far apart to hear what the others are saying. All they can do... is shine their lights from afar." - To The Moon Stepping out onto the planet for the first time in Metroid Prime and seeing the rain on your visor. The Matrix level in Conkers BFD Pushing the accelerator button for the first time in F-Zero GX. Stepping onto the Omega promenade in Mass Effect 2. -
There had better be some Skyrim in here or there'll be hell to pay.

What an incredible result. Great for Lewis and, frankly, I'm shocked less by Daniel's quality then I am by how much Seb was struggling. Kevin M's P4 is the headline for me today though. I'll put hard money that name appearing on a WDC trophy one day. It's really interesting to see how they're all wrestling with the cars out of the corners with all the new torque they have - actually makes me really excited for the next F1 game to come out so I can see what it's like. Personally I really like how we can hear the crowd reaction & the tyre squeals during a lock up thanks to the quieter engines. I really don't feel we're losing anything - it's less machine noise but it makes room for everything else.

Just as long as somebody uses a condom.

Thanks for the condolences guys, she'd had a long life and we'll miss her. It's my dad I'm mostly worried about now. In other news, another awful day at work yesterday for reasons I'm still too tired to get into, so here's this Bob's Burgers supercut to express the full breadth of my emotions.

I deeply and sincerely love the guest "couch gag" Sylvain Chomet did for The Simpsons.

My dad was coming to see me this weekend but my grandmother died today so obviously he has to stay and look after his dad & himself. It's a disappointing turn of events on numerous levels.

The official Williams Martini Racing livery. Absolutely gorgeous.

After the final testing results I'm quite excited for the new season: Not only are Red Bull struggling and Lewis is likely to have a great car this year, Williams actually look potentially good enough to score multiple race wins. How great would it be if it came down to a repeat of the 2008 championship between Lewis and Massa in a finally resurgent Williams? Perhaps not likely but now not a distant dream either.

Long story long, had some student who looked like he could barely shave ask for cigarettes so I asked for ID (we have to ask anyone who looks like they might b under 25). He started whining. He then whined to the only other person working in the store. He then started badgering other customers in the store to buy cigarettes for him (failing to spot a proxy sale is just as bad for us as failing to ID is). Then I raised my voice at him and told him to get out. He slunk out like a kicked puppy. He then came back twenty minutes later demanding to see "the manager" (which was me for the night). He wanted to complain about me raising my voice and "looking past him". I offered him the number to make an actual complaint but he didn't take it, pretty obviously just wanting to leave still feeling like he had a pair. My colleague came over said she'd leave a note for the manager and he slunk off again. She was probably lying but I hope she did. It's not bad enough to get me fired and I'd actually like to have it on my record. Frankly, it felt good. It felt good rediscovering myself. Rediscovering that I have the ability cut somebody's nuts off without even having to say anything identifiably grotesque because I'm in a minority that has the wit and confidence to achieve it - no matter what the uniform I'm standing in suggests. And frankly some people don't just deserve it - they need it.

I shouted at a consumer today. I shouldn't have but I'm so glad I did. EDIT: Changed the word "customer" to "consumer" as it seems more accurate somehow.

All right but if you get yourself sold into a sheik's harem again I'm not coming to fetch you.

I've decided once 4G arrives in my area and if I'm not imminently jumping for a PS4 I'm going to swap my 360 out for a PS3 and enjoy the highlights I've missed until now. I've been surfing around ebay over the past week and you can almost sit and watch the prices of PS3s tumble downwards.
