  1. Finally booted up the Kerbal Space Programme demo out of curiosity - holy crap I need to get in on this. It's so much fun just learning from trial and error, definitely will get into the full version at some point. I'll try to resist for a while though, I've got a PC backlog as long as my arm. Do try the demo, you won't be sorry for having done so. Trying to get to it now but I can see the smoke coming off the store servers from here.
  2. Merry Christmas y'all! Hope you're all with good people enjoying good times with good foods. My corms! Mine!!
  3. I'm sorry to hear that Martins. Give all my love to your family.
  4. This seems to be Temco's formula these days: Dynasty Warriors + [unrelated successful franchise] = Dem ¥ens.
  5. That's a horrid thing to hear Cube, hope the rest of your old mates are well. In other news: My keys have gone missing and I'm getting irrationally stressed out by it. I've borrowed the spares and all I've got to do is go tell the landlord tomorrow and pay for a replacement but for some reason it's making me feel like my chest will explode at any second. Is not losing sleep over minor things that go wrong something people actually do or is it one of those urban myths like the winning formula for lottery numbers? On the plus side I've cleaned my room twice tonight, so there's that.
  6. I learned today that my manager who joined less than 5 months ago has moved elsewhere "on his own accord" (albeit under the pall of some weird regional investigation). By the end of January I'll be up to 2 years and 4 months in my current store and onto my 4th manager in that store. I spent today clearing out another busted back-freezer filled with rotting meat, soggy pastry and melted ice creams. My job makes me want to die.
  7. Fire Emblem Awakening, without a shadow of a doubt. What a beautifully crafted experience from top to bottom that game is.
  8. Steam are giving the PC version cheap so I'm just6 going to check how that runs on my laptop that before diving in.
  9. You should get one of those heart tattoos with the banner, except instead of "Mother" it says "Yer Ma".
  10. Good Old Games are giving away Fallout, Fallout 2 & Fallout Tactics. All for free. You don't even have to put your card details in, you only need a GOG account. http://www.gog.com/promo/fallout_series_giveaway_winter_promo_2013
  11. You're welcome to try but from what I understand you may have to defeat him in battle for the honour.
  12. They've mentioned that since all their backgrounds are in console development they've made something that isn't massively complex in its core gameplay. A PS4/XBONE release is probably more likely than a PC one.
  13. Your local CEX probably has a fat stack of GTA V for £25, mine certainly does (best Amazon used price £29)
  14. This from the devs in Eurogamer -
  15. Already got 'em, they're really, really fuckin' nice. Feel free to use that as your box quote.
  16. Interesting, sounds like something I'd like to check out further down the line.
  17. They sound like those infuriating people who think obnoxiousness is the same as "personality." Sorry you're feeling besieged generally, hope you find your own head space soon.
  18. Looks impressive but I'll hold comment until I see it on the actual platforms.
  19. *salivates uncontrollably*
  20. One of the truly great figures in human history. May he rest in peace and may peace be upon the nation he worked and suffered for.
  21. You appear to have a moderately-sized tiger sitting on your shoulder.
  22. Fire Emblem: Awakening - It's so good. It's so amazingly good. It was worth the investment of a 3DS all by itself. I want to have it's babies and then have those babies appear as amnesic grown-ups from an apocalyptic future.
  23. Probably WiiU/PS4 but it's not impossible, I'm waiting to see what a steambox looks like before I fully commit.
  24. I thought it was brilliant, totally insightful and extremely well produced throughout. It did a simply fantastic job of discussing the negative aspects of gaming culture while still exploring and celebrating the medium fully. The assertion of Twitter as a "game" was pretty thought provoking and I think it definitely raises some fascinating points.
