I just finished the game there now so.. I guess we'll have to see what my thoughts are come episode 65 of the podcast

Depending on how today goes, hopefully I'll get into it this evening! From the responses so far, I'm expecting a good experience..

Resumed my most recent save file last night on 160 Stars and reacquainted myself with Starshine Beach Galaxy today. It's such a boring level

What Remains of Edith Finch

Even though the N64 is the greatest thing that ever graced this earth, the control stick has a lifespan.. but it's great in the beginning Even after years of Mario Party abuse, it's probably still more reliable than the Joy-Con stick..

Thanks for the heads up, though I had already saw the price of it and looked into it before your kind notification As a big fan of Excite Truck added to the fact that some of the developers of the excellent Drive Club were involved in Onrush, I feel like there could be a little something in there for me. At the price, it might be worth a try but watching footage on YouTube didn't sell me on it at all..

"Who let the Reds out?" was more for me than a cheesy chant from the home fans at Anfield about Houllier. There was more than an element of truth to it! I couldn't really thank the man enough for some of the best times I had as a Liverpool supporter at the start of the new millennium and for setting us on the road for where we are today. The Champions League trophy we won in 2005 owes as much to Houllier as it did to Benitez and I was glad to hear that the players acknowledged that on the night of the final during their celebrations. Rest in peace, Gerard.

I've played through the four main areas now and have to say that I've been very impressed with what I've played While the game doesn't push any boundaries in terms of challenging your platforming skills, Astro's Playroom feels more like a Nintendo creation than possibly anything else I've ever played outside of the company! Where Luigi's Mansion sucked us into the world with the help of the Gamecube controller and Wii Sports hit a home run with showcasing the possibilities of the Wii Remote, Astro's Playroom manages to zip us into the world of PS5 and the capabilities of the DualSense. If developers can take heed of the utilisation of the functions of the controller in this game, I'm excited for what is going to be possible on PS5. From the pouring of the rain as it hits your umbrella to climbing up rocks, everything feels extraordinary and is enhanced further by the sounds that emerge from the speaker. An utterly charming experience that celebrates PlayStation over the last quarter of a century and how much they have brought to the industry

I just wanted to play Astro and experience the new controller..

Haha.. I did the transfer this afternoon and I think the best thing to do will be to get an external HDD at some point to store all of the PS4 games and leave what little space is on the PS5 exclusively for PS5 games.. when there's something I want to buy for it

Resident Evil 4 feels dated now...

You can't leave it like this! What's the other one..? -
The PS5 can wait, @Hero-of-Time!
-
Play it and tell me what you think

It's been a weekend of hating football but has been made a little more tolerable by the draw at Stamford Bridge!

I think I would have traded all of my PS4 physical games in for digital versions if not for Drive Club! It's no longer available digitally so I have to keep the disc around for that because I love the game I also bought The Last of Us: Part II last week, @lostmario, and have managed to steer clear of spoilers. I never watched a review or any other material other than a trailer a couple of years ago I am aware that there has been controversy regarding the story but I have absolutely no idea what it will be about.. and it kinda makes me even more excited to find out I'll be looking forward to sharing thoughts with you, @Hero-of-Time, though I suspect you'll progress significantly faster than myself I'm only 2-3 hours in so far but.. yeh.. stuff has happened!
-
Ah. If so get a PS5, it's gonna be the digital version so a disc will be no use to me! Hopefully someone else will be able to make use of your code
-
Is it physical or digital? I'm gonna try to get a PS5 through BT tomorrow if possible and Dirt 5 for £30 would be appealing
-
That's pretty much spot on, @Hero-of-Time! I don't remember if it's present the first time through but if you start a new game with your cleared save file, there are signs to collect in every stage. I'm sure that doesn't sound particularly appealing but I think you in particular would maybe have enjoyed hunting them down to make every chapter just that little bit more interesting. It adds another level of ridiculousness on top of what is already there but you get a few funny lines of dialogue delivered through your Wii Remote speaker every time you grab a sign As you say, though, Disaster is a game that is kinda fun to experience but it's definitely not a great game!

I don't think we're too far apart in our lack of appreciation for 'open world' games so for you to like Burnout Paradise means it must have something going for it, at least I didn't give it much of a chance. I bought it for £7, installed it on PS4 and within 15 minutes it was off and ready to be traded in. I'm sure it's probably decent enough but it's not the type of experience I want from my racing games. I like more carefully constructed and distinct tracks whereas I find with games like Burnout Paradise and some Need for Speed games that things can feel a bit samey very quickly and it can feel like there's almost too much going on along that it can be difficult to see where you need to go, particularly at such high speed!
-
Yeh.. it almost seems wrong to complain that there's too much of a great game but you're definitely right! The other problem is that there's a message when you save and quit that tells you your score will reset to zero when you resume. Even though I'm not playing it for the score, I don't like that! I definitely wanna play the N64 game again, too. Downloaded it on Wii U earlier in the year for convenience but haven't properly played it yet!
